Quote from SidiousX :IMO, Brad's "wrecking people" is just Denny Hamlin's excuse for being a little bitch.

Right out of Brad's own mouth today:

“I have the good fortune of having some time and the mental presence to be objective and realize that some of the things I might have done during that process might not have been the cool thing to do – I might have been a jerk,” Keselowski said. “I can see that. I can see a lot of different sides and a lot of different opinions and have respect for the majority of them.

“Specifically, the incident at Phoenix [with payback of Hamlin], what I did there was over my own line so to speak. The incidents before that, I don’t feel that way about, and the incidents after that, I don’t feel that way about.”

Even he admits the taking Denny out, still think BK doesn't wreck anyone though?

Quote from PMD9409 :It's easily possible to go 3 wide into a turn at Atlanta.

Off topic: When I was there a couple years ago I saw them do 4 wide in the trucks. Kyle Busch just drove right down on the apron and passed 3 guys at once.

Jeff Burton sums up my opinion on Brad Keselowski perfectly:
Quote :Burton said that while Keselowski is learning the hard way to respect other competitors, no one is asking him not to be aggressive.

“I don’t think he’s doing a good job of stepping back, learning from the situation and figuring out how to do it better versus having his feet dug in the sand saying, ‘This is how I’m always going to do it.’ … Brad needs to find a way to mend some fences,” Burton said. “But he also needs to stay aggressive.

“He needs to stay in the mindset that [he’s] there to win. It’s a balancing act. He needs to tip a little more to the conservative side to find that balance because he’s found the limit.”

Keselowski’s reputation now will make drivers believe that he is being too aggressive or disrespectful even when he’s not, Burton said.

“Brad’s got to learn that he doesn’t have to prove to the world that he is a tough guy,” Burton said. “He’s made the decision that he’s not going to cut anybody any slack. He’s made the decision that he’s going to race aggressively all the time. Those are the decisions he’s made and he’s going to have to live with the consequences of that.

“There’s nothing wrong with giving a little bit. And there’s nothing wrong with taking a little bit. But if you’re going to only take, then you’re going to come out on the short end of the stick more times than not.”

It was on a restart, maybe his spotter missed the call, who knows.

All I know is why does it seem Brad is in that situation over and over again, but other driver's don't seem to be? Because some of them know when to back out of it and just let the guy in.

I agree that if you just look at this one situation, I would say Carl was wrong, he obviously cut across his nose. But like I said, Brad is constantly doing the exact same thing to other drivers too, when I look at the big picture, I have to say Brad needs to get his act together.

Quote from BreadC :wat did brad do wrong? plz let me know...

edwards moved down to the bottom while brad was there?

if ur on bout move at talledega thats where carl moved down again.

i dont see what brad did wrong in the race imo

What Brad does wrong is he constantly does not give anyone space. He gets one inch of overlap going into a corner and he WILL NOT back out of it no matter what. That's fine when you're racing for the win, but he seems to do it week in week out all race long. Driver's constantly talk about "give and take". Brad does not give.

At Talladega, he did nothing wrong. You're coming for the win, I wouldn't expect anyone to lift in that situation. To me it's all the little stuff early on in the race that gets him in trouble.

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :I think Carl is a top bloke

Have you ever seen the video where Kenseth is getting interviewed and then Carl comes over, pulls him away, and acts like he's going to punch him? Afterwards Kenseth said he's glad it got caught on camera because the Carl Edwards you see giving interviews on TV is not the real Carl Edwards.

Not only was it a stupid move in general, but I'm pissed that it robbed us of what was setting up to be an awesome finish between Montoya and Busch, I was really pulling for Montoya to get his first oval win there, I think he had him for sure.

On the bright side, all those late cautions helped my boy Tony recover from a loose wheel to get back up to 13th.

Took at spin at Zandvoort on my lunch break, very cool track. I think it was turns 2 and 3(maybe 3 and 4) I got to and I was like man this thing looks like a rollercoaster! Seemed like a tough track to pass on with big cars for sure.

Quote from lizardfolk :I think Danica thought he was giving her the finger? But the announcers said that he was actually trying to tell Danica to go to the outside line as that's a better line to take?

Oh, I didn't hear the announcers talk about it, I just saw his arm hanging out the window and we were laughing about it.

Did anyone else notice Harvick waving out the window at Danica when he lapped her early in the Nationwide race? I have to find a video of it, he was definitely doing something.

Quote from Kid222 :So i just bought Bristol and Silverado, anyone going there for a spin next week?

I'll definitely be there in the Impala B, probably the Silverado as well though. One of the few places I make SURE that I qualify at first. Starting at the back of the pack can lead to trouble real fast as its so small the leaders will be lapping you in no time.

Quote from lizardfolk :Texas is really tame compared to some of the massive superspeedways though...what would have happened if they went to Talladega or Daytona? I hear even the Dover oval's banking is 3 stories high.

I think Dover would be OK because its a smaller track, they would have to slow down more in the turns. Daytona/Talladega are also a different beast as the turns are not as sharp. Rusty Wallace has done 230-240 mph there in a stock car(not sure how many laps though) and didn't say anything about the forces affecting him.

The cookie cutter 1.5 milers are some of the fastest tracks on the Nascar schedule, so it makes sense that if open wheel cars had trouble, it would be at that type of track.

Quote from Kid222 :I endured and watched it and it was very good. Going almost 3 wide into last lap was freaky, can't wait for Sprint Cup today.

Just a little disappointed with Craig's bad luck, seems like every time in those races anyone spins/crashes/dirt appears on track 6-10 laps to finish, so they can do green-white-checkered and current leader is pwned hardly from behind.

Honestly I thought it was Logano's fault, Biffle had a bumper under him(just barely) and when Logano came down, he just didn't move. To me, it didn't look like Biffle moved up into him at all.

Cup race wasn't too bad, had a lot of green flag runs so guys were coming and going from the front of the pack all day. Really thought Harvick was going to get Johnson at the end, then he bounces it off the wall.

Quote from brt900 :where do i actually put the setups and on game which section in garage do i load them

Setups go in: My Documents\iRacing\setups\trucks silverado(or whatever car the setup is for)

I'm not home to check right now but its something close to that. In the garage, you want to go to "My Setups" I think its called.

Quote from Mackie The Staggie :Big jessies, I have the force feedback on, maybe that explains my lack of speed though.

I run in-game at 8 and windows profiler at 107 on my G25 and I have no problems. I'm not the fastest guy out there but I can consistently finish in the top 10 in the top split as long as nothing goes wrong.

Quote from brt900 :i just read it then just after i posted. damn it money again!!!!

Since you said you have the Silverado already, there IS a way to get around buying a D class car. First, race legends and get your SR to 4.0+, this will allow you to "race up" in Class C without actually getting promoted. You can then do your MPR in Class C instead of D to get promoted.

Quote from brt900 :ive done that im ready for promotion but if i get my safety rating to like 4.0 do i not get promoted 2 levels

I don't understand why you think you get promoted 2 levels. Just get your 4.0 which will get you promoted to D and I think you'll see how it works.

Quote from brt900 :sort of understand it. basically if im 4.0 ill go to d? or c?

4.0 Rookie? You will go to 3.0 D.

4.0 D goes to 3.0 C, and so on.

Quote from brt900 :so the only way to fastrack is to be 4.0? sorry about this im a noob

Yes, but Fast Track is not the only way to be promoted.

2.8.3. Promotion

2.8.3.1. Fast Track: Drivers having earned a 4.00 Safety Rating at any point during the season and having met the MPR will be promoted to the next higher license level.

2.8.3.2. End of Season: Drivers having earned a 3.00 Safety Rating during the course of a season will be promoted to the next higher license level at the conclusion of that season (provided the minimum participation requirement is met).

That is straight from the sporting code:

Can be confusing at first, there is some good info in the sporting code though.

Quote from brt900 :atm i am rookie 3.68 and it says im ready for promotion to rookie 3.0 but if i get like rookie 5.0 then will i go straight to class c or can i only fast track 2 licences

Yes, so if I remember correctly(I've been A too long) if you get to the end of a season with your 3.0+ SR you will get promoted. For Fasttrack, you need 4.0+. That's why it says "ready for promotion" now, if it was the end of a season you'd get a normal promotion instead of Fasttrack.

For the second part of your quote, no you will not go straight to C. Once you get promoted to D when you hit 4.0, you will lose about 1.0 of SR(new calculation for each license level) AND you now need to do your 4 races/TT's at your new license level to get another promotion.
