I'm not entirely pleased with the way the Chase is playing out so far.

Me and my friends wonder how much you'd have to pay a start-and-park car to take out the 48.

Thankfully McMurray didn't cry in victory lane again although it looked like he wanted to. You want to cry after you win the 500, fine, but after a random race at Charlotte? Come on man hold it together.

Quote from Jakg :Tried both, neither work...

Will an "overinstall" retain all my programs / settings?

You can try a "repair install" if that's what you're asking, that doesn't delete your programs in Windows.

Quote from Bose321 :But IIRC they compared a Mercedes with some American boat on Top Gear, and the Mercedes completely trashed it...

Was that when it went up against the Camaro? The Mercedes cost twice as much as the new Camaro...I'd hope it would get trashed. Just one of the reasons I don't watch Top Gear, made no sense to compare those two cars, not even in the same league.

Tony back in victory lane, he's not out of this yet.

Yeah I saw it, I didn't actually think it was that funny though. It was just "Nascar fans are dumb and poor" which got old after about 2 minutes. I've seen plenty of good South Park episodes but this wasn't one of them.

Quote from Klutch :Oh hey! its a commodore!

When I was sitting in the pits between sessions a guy came over to me and told me he was happy to see my Pontiac out there, he said he had a black GTO but didn't bring it for the track day. I told him you Australians sure know how to make nice cars.

Took my car to Watkins Glen this past weekend, it was a blast getting to go as fast as I could on a real race track.

Quote from BurnOut69 :...just one more turn to...holy crap its 3AM already!?

Haha yesterday me and a friend were at the store and he was buying energy drink because he claimed he was tired, I asked why and he said because he bought Civ 5 and was up until 4 am playing it, just kept telling himself "one more turn".

OH MAN

Bowyer docked 150 points for his car not being legal. Pretty sure they were warned about this a week or two ago.

Quote :NASCAR has issued penalties, suspensions and fines as a result of rules infractions discovered this week during post-race inspection at the NASCAR Research and Development Center following last Sunday's race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The #33 team was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4-J (any determination by NASCAR officials that the race equipment used in the event does not conform to NASCAR rules); and 20-3 (car body location specifications in reference to the certified chassis did not meet NASCAR-approved specifications) of the 2010 NASCAR Rule Book. As a result, crew chief Shane Wilson has been fined $150,000, suspended from the next six NASCAR Sprint Cup events, suspended from NASCAR until Nov. 3 and placed on probation until Dec. 31. Car chief Chad Haney has also been suspended from the next six NASCAR Sprint Cup events, suspended from NASCAR until Nov. 3 and placed on probation until Dec. 31. Driver Clint Bowyer and owner Richard Childress have been penalized with the loss of 150 championship driver and owner points, respectively. (NASCAR), the penalty drops Bowyer from 2nd in the driver point standings to 12th.(9-22-2010)

Quote from PMD9409 :Shall we do predictions?

Do it.

I see Denny winning the championship this year. He has the talent and the cars to get the job done, only thing I can see stopping him is unreliable cars taking him out of races.

Also, me at NHMS:

Nothing better than watching a restart from down by the fence. My friend was just like, I don't get the point of standing down here, they're all just a blur when they go by haha.

Pretty disappointing seeing Tony run out of fuel with one to go. He's not out of it yet but he can't afford another bad race now. At the same time, while I'm not a Bowyer fan, I wouldn't mind seeing him win it all. He seems like a good guy and races everyone pretty clean. Really I'll take anyone other than the 48.

Breaking your collar bone sucks(I know all about it) sounds like you had a pretty good season though. Running the same series next year?

Her phone must have just sucked then. I open up text messaging threads containing THOUSANDS of texts every day with no delay whatsoever. If I were to get another phone today, I would probably go Android just because I'd like to try that OS out, but I am perfectly happy with my BlackBerry as it gets the job done for what I use it for, which is 90% texting/IMing people.

Richmond was pretty boring especially with Bowyer running good all night, I was hoping Newman would find a way to sneak into the Chase but I knew it was unlikely.

I'm going to New Hampshire next weekend so hopefully its a good race. We're just driving up Sunday morning for the race and leaving after. Sitting 26 rows up just past the start finish line, I haven't been there before but they look like good seats.

I would guess the loop is the boot. Either that or it could be the bus stop chicane like you said, you can't really get "inside" that though. That does remind me viewing near the bus stop is pretty cool also because the track is pretty much at eye level. I like watching the Cup cars practice there because you can see them lifting the right front tire off the ground every time they go through there.

I'm not going on Sunday any more, girl I know took off of work just so she could watch the opening day of football with me, so I'm kind of stuck doing that now.

Let us know how the event goes, I'd like to make it to this some year.

I'm seriously considering going, I go to the Glen for Nascar weekend but haven't been to the Vintage Grand Prix.

As far as cool vantage points go, the hill outside of the esses is pretty good since there is no big fence between you and the track and you're pretty close to the cars. You can also get a pretty good view of the cars on the inside of the last turn coming to the main straight, not sure what number that turn would be on the boot configuration. I asked a buddy of mine who has been there for the Vintage Grand Prix and they said they usually just sit in the pit terrace seats and you have a pretty good view from there as well.
