I saw the one for 2007, and wanted to prepare for the next one, and enter a team. Through, I'm not having any luck finding any info... can someone please help me search, or give me some info? Much appreciated,
No, i meant he drove that way on the autbahn section with no limit,
and below (but still like crazy) trying to go as fast as possible while trying to break as little rules as possible.
Just because I mention that I live "in the US" does not mean that I'm originally from here.
wait, so if the FWD cars cant REALISTICALY have more lock, why not make steering lock individual for all cars? The RWD has 45deg, FWD less, GTR even less, etc.
Why does it have to be a "universal setting" and if you change it to 45 on the XRT, why does it mean having to change the amount of adjustability on the FZR?
If scawen chages THIS fact, it will pretty much please everyone.
Lol, I think I actualy had it first, since I saw your sig earlier today, and that wasnt there, I remembered because of your avatar. Althrough, I don't really care. You want to share? Since mine is a little different, I think we'll be ok mate!
ok that's great then! Because I want to put together a team for next years 24hrs of Kyoto!
I will have a G25 by then, so a DFP is already going to someone who is willing to get S2. After this, it should not be that hard to find a third guy! lol
Hmm, I was wondering something... if lets say, Me and a couple friends wanted to do a team endurance race, and we all wanted to have the computers at my house, how will this all connect to LFS servers? Right now, I have 2 computers connected to a router, with no server or network between em. I want to make a server rig, and network the thing, and upgrade my router/modem for better examples that dont loose the connection so damn much.
So lets say, the wireless router has 3 slots for cable connections. We hook everything up.... will my friends have to reactivate their S2 because of different IP? Will we all be able to connect online? I have fast broadband, but will this slow the speed and make us all lag?
Also, should I worry about tripping a breaker with 4 PC's on in the room? I dont have that many power sources...
also, if I install S2 to the second comp that I OWN, will I need to get another license to play online with it? I think not as long as my other one is not logged into LFS, but can someone clear this up?
Non-edit: The real question is also, can I use one account to play VS( like local server or something?) at the same house?
How about, expand on the RACE_S setup so it's useful for any track and makes the car a bit faster, but at the same time, is also realistic, and no -4.8 degrees of camber or +5 toe out in the rear crap.... and also an update of the race_s setup for every new physics incompatible patch.

The recliner is experimental. I wedged 4 erasers in the wooden rocking mechanism, so that it doesnt move. I have been sitting on a lawn chair with a pad until now.
Lol, /\ I can relate to that, I kept placing in the middle to back of the pack in even the beginnig servers, so if the amature ones are still considered noob servers, then I must be a lot worse of a driver than I thought!
Ok, so I was looking at the archives at people computers and setups (desk/wheel/etc.) because my desk is pissing me off, and I want to get a new table...and stubled upon this post:
I began to gigle uncontrollably like some deranged lunatic, and thought to myself, I am SO doing that!
Seriously, this is really nothing new, but how many of us knew about doing stuff like this? I'm gonna try it, and if I like it, I will use the new monitor as the main one, and use my 15" LCD panel as the fresnel lense experiment! Wish me luck!
Well, yeah, you dont HAVE to, but I would want to spend about 1500 for a good computer, and then some more for a 20" monitor, and then get a G25...
As for Alienware: garbage, total waste of money, crap, and a total rip off! I will build my own PC thank you very much!
As far as the car goes:
You see, in th USA, this stuff is really easy for some reason if you know people and where to get stuff. For example:
A 1984 Mazda RX-7 suitable for racing: Oh, $1500?
Some good high preformance summer tires: 195-55-R15: $380
And I dont mean stuff like ITS... ie: the "pro" racing, but rather local events and track days would be fun. I have friends with trailers, and a shop, and tools, and other necessities/connections. Just need to get the ball rolling, and that's that.
BUT, i DO want to get a comp... maybe not a 1500 one, but a $800 one and a better monitor, because my hardware os aging, ghetto, and half assed rigged together and held with zip-ties... kinda like a 17 year olds drift mobile!
Yeah, i think that this is probably the biggest factor about it to me!
Yes, I can buy a nice game rig, 3 monitors, surround, custom racing desk, and a G25... and run all the sim games under the sun, but for the 4,000 usd I would spend, I would rathe buy a 1st generation Mazda RX-7 or Mazda Miata, and race prep it for autocross/ local track events. As much as I want to "get more involved" my crappy comp that pushes out 30fps as the average online, rickety ass desk, and 15" monitor just dont make me feel involved enough, and after 30min~1hr of racing, the (I think this is probably the reason) slow frame rate puts me to sleep! My DFP resonds just a TAD too slow, and I always end up concentrating really hard, and then after a while, just kinda passing out, and then drive like shit because I feel tired and like I need a nap!
Yeah, it really MUST be my FPS... Time to upgrade from the 19th century...
Hmm, the real trouble is the fact that I'm Russian... but I'm also American... which means that I'm lazy and think that searching for a free converter that works well/fast and doesn't piss me off with it's ****wad interface, to then convert a billion files into OGG to then use on the (abit) subpar (sorry scawen!:shy music player just doesnt cut it! Either make it easy to use, or just junk it!
There, brash, rude, and plain and simple!
Just so that the DEVS dont get pissed off through, the new test patch is smashing!
Honestly, this is another one of those things, like turning up the maximum lock. It's not hard to do/ keep, and those who dont want it can simply turn it off. Like, I dont use the digital speedo thing, but I know that there is a percentage that likes it.. same with the mini map thing.. I dont use it, I turn it off... but I dont bitch about taking it out because real racing cars dont have a floating map on the windshield... I say, I like it, it helps with practice and learing a new track, and if you're semi good, you can learn faster with it, then turn it off... Yes, sims should be hard, but not everyone has forever to practice, and have things like work, school, family to attend to, so this is a good thing and it should stay for the final patch just as it is right now.
PS: Add the friggin 45degree lock for god's sake! THE 1989-1994 Nissan 200SX (240/180sx) has 49degrees of steering lock stock, so THERE!
Wow, that looks almost like a broadcast of a real race!!! Was this done live? Holy shit! Now, I used to think... yeah, LFS is a sim and all, but after the dust clears, it IS only a videogame...
Well, looks like I didn't just miss the "seriousness" by a mile, but rather, in a different galaxy all together!
I see that people have REAL sponsors, that the guys treat this all very professionaly, and that its a LOT of hard work!
The thing that amazes me, is just how freaking blind I used to be!
Perhaps living in America has infused me with the "it's only a videogame" opinion way too much, because I havent taken LFS as something to do almost professionaly.
PS: I know that might not be the clearest post ever, but I barely passed english class and am still a bit overwhelmed by the "holy S**T!" factor!
Also, I thought someone will reply with that, so how about just removing the i-game player completely for an improvement suggestion then?
EDIT: If it was easy and hassle free to use, I'd use it. Since I'm not using it, and neither is the other 80% of S2 drivers, wh keep it? Wasted space imo.
