It looks nice, I'm going to try it! Thank you for your work dude, I noticed there aren't many "serious" auto X layouts liek the ones for LX month out there.

Umm, a good tip is to check if you have "throttle blip on downshift" turned on. This makes braking a LOT better if you're driving a non-g25 wheel lie a DFP, momo, or a thrustmaster.

Well, I was leading a CTRA race yesteday in the XRG, and led for 3 laps... last lap.... WAY ahead... I spun on T2... and then got hit by second place and everybody else as I tried to get out of there.

I guess I'm "special" because I happen to be able to enjoy BOTH drifting AND racing the same amount? I drive grip, race-drift, and "touge monster" style. I also happen to love the LX cars since before the June thing, and finaly found how to drive the RAC and enjoy the thing.

I might not be a good lfs racer yet, but damnit I'm trying.

Quote from Greboth :Simple answer no, you can't remove it.

It is all to do with the current ffb technology and the ffb not acting linear. I can never remember the exact reason, though there is some mention to it in the lfs wiki

This is why i dont want to get the G25

But rather the NEXT logitech wheel that comes out!

It wasn't meant to be hilarious... I just thought that, this is ghetto as hell, therfore amusing. Geez, some people just take life too seriously... the point of this thread was NOT the sole fact that I think somethng is funny...

Ok, so I was drifting the XRG around Blackwood reverse to brush up on my skills a little, and remembered how I read an article that said something about putting a stipe on the top of the wheel, to help you see when it's pointing straight... the more laps I did, the morethought that this is a realy good idea... and then I noticed the sparco model wheel I put in the dds foler uses a yellow stripe too! (I wasnt looking at the in game wheel and it was faint on my screen)

So, I was like, ok I'm so doing this... but then remembered i dont have any yellow tape... bummer. 5 min later I thought of this:

I found some other tape, cut a thin strip of paper, and slapped it on there... works just as well.

PS: I found this mod to be very helpful when driving. I noticed some of the older momos had this, and it works!

Quote from milkkis :Am I the only one who really likes Raceabout?
I love this car, all you need is a good setup and a lot of practise, I use RAC for drifting too. Same thing for drifting, good setup and a lot of practice...

Used to be a hater, now I totaly agree! We should both get on vent and race online sometime, dude!

I just dont see how REMOVING a speedometer completely is a good idea. Even on the track, you need it. You need it to gauge how fast you're going into a corner, how quicly you gain/scrub off your speed, pit lane for no limiter cars (btw, the limiter only works once you get realy close to 50mph, so if you fly in and press it right before the enter line going 100mph, it's not going to help ya.

How can you drive withought one? Confuses the f8ck out of meh.

Quote from FC3SCorey :You can't really compare Rotary to piston.

and 140 from a 4Cyl isn't amazing.

And yes, I agree...

Quote from Blackout :I wish they changed that. It's a bit too amazing.

pfft, ever read tuning mags? Try 999hp out of a turbo 4clylinder (the 4G63 motor found in the Lancer Evolution)

Dude, 500hp hasd been pulled out of a lot of Honda engines as well:
The b18, K20A2, h22, b16 head on a b18block, etc. all turboed, but it's possible if you know what the iff you're doing and can tune an engine well. There's also the rotary, which can get 400hp easy (from a 13BTurbo 1.3 liter but it WAS designed as a racing engine...:shrug Then, there is the ecotec engine in the chevy cobalt, and as much as i don't like american cars, that engine is not half bad, and has also ben known to do some crazy shit if built right.
Turbochargers are the way to go to make crazy power out of small engines!

BUT... I'll take my 250hp N/A engine with instant throttle response any day! for me, it's not about crazyt ass numbers, but about how the car handles.

Hmm, thank you for answering my question.

Althrough, I would realy not say that Dave Coleman doesn't know what he's talking about. While no one man can know everything there is in the world, I would say that 99% chance he knows a lot more than you. Also, this makes you sound stupid.
Suspension modeling: The Dave Point.

Ok, so today I found this article on the dave point, and have to ask, are the devs aware of this? I mean, I am pretty shure they are, but this should still be of interest to them... that, and, the cars still dont feel quite right with the current suspension modeling.

here's the link: http://www.sportcompactcarweb. ... 0205scc_techno/index.html

Hmm, I'm guessing you cant install a part and then return it to get a different one, can you?

And to me, Antec is a more trustful name than OCZ... but still, I have no Idea. Also, I already went $16.00 over budget, but I think that adding a little more from my pocket is not too bad of an Idea for ashurance of quality.

well, then I'll return the one I ordered (that one) and go for the other one.... because i canceled my order and made a new one like twice already.

Hey moose, would you mind taking a look in my thread? Jacj helped me some, but I'm still having doubts that I ordered all the right stuff.

And that comp looks good btw...

so is my idea of running everything at 10066 and going with the E6430 and getting better ram good to go then? This is what I'm thinking of now:

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... .asp?item=N82E16819115015

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... aspx?Item=N82E16820227178

Videocard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... .asp?item=N82E16814130038

Motherboard: P5K... but which one??? there's like 10 of them...

What do you guys think of this HD?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... aspx?Item=N82E16822148262

Also, I don't realy know the ins and outs of raid... and therefore see no point of having it at all, so can you please show me a link that explains it? And thank you for the help so far!

hmm, how is this?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... aspx?Item=N82E16817171018

Well, im looking to get a 1066mhz proc, 1066mhz fsb/mem standard motherboard, and 1066mhz ram to have everything run in sync with each other.

Through, do you notice that while ASUS makes good boards, there is always SOME glitch with them? Be it the bios, raid, sata, etc not functioning properly ought of the box...At least that's the picture I get from the reviews.

Install board=crap, then mess with it and fix everything, and= great product... what puzzles me is why can't asus do all this BEFORE shipping their boards, so that people like us dont have to fawk aound with it to get it to work?

wait, so having a 1333fsb on the c2d and 800 RAM is going to be bad?

Then, what about this?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... aspx?Item=N82E16820227178

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... .asp?item=N82E16814130038

Also, how about skimping on the proc and getting a good, but cheap mobo.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... aspx?Item=N82E16819115015

This proc seems like it it is so much worse for only being a little cheaper... wtf?

Also, why is the E6400 more expensive when it has lower specs?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... aspx?Item=N82E16819115004 worse, and $205

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... .asp?item=N82E16819115030 better and $178

WTF????
