I am guessing that you were trying to play it on win xp? they brought out a patch to make ti winxp and dx compatible so now it recognizes modern cards but i doubt you will find a demo with the patch..

Thats not quite true, if all humans would think like that then some of the laws we have in place today would never have come about. So many people when they look at Africa and the suffering of people there feel helpless buy they have no need to, they can make a change, give say £5 a month to a charity which for example works in Africa and distributes water to villages, installs clean water filtration and so on..... if you really want to make a change then you can but simpy saying that you cannot effect bad things that happen so where else is a get out clause of not doing anything...
So if a company for example based in say Finland (only an example) had branches all over the world, in China, India, America where it was mistreating animals, people and so on..... by simply not buying their products you would be doing something. You may not think that if you, one person on this earth stops say buying fur has much effect and wont stop the suffering of animals else where then you are very wrong, it is why the fur indistry was hit so badly because people simply didnt want animals being killed for their skin so they stopped buying products which effected the company which basically stopped or reduced fur being wanted and sold.
No matter how small the change, it is still a change. If i was to suddenly decide to turn vegetarian only to stop animal suffering then I may think I am fighting a loosing battle but the fact i made that change no matter how small it will be doing some difference, i wont go throught kilograms of meat every month which indeed may save one animal over the course of a year. Plus you are forgetting that there are a number of people that do the same thing so i wouldnt be the only person deciding on this very day to go vegetarian, many others would have done also even though you may not know it but colectively you would be making a difference...
I guess it all comes down to how strong you believe in certain things and whether you want to make a change.

Having played Mercedes Benz Truck Racing to death.. and being it the software on my computer that i have had installed the longest Super Trucks as they are called have 5 gears unlike their real life on road counterparts....
5 gears, top speed of 160km/h or 100Mp/h weiging in at 5 tons.. with acceleration 0-60 in 4 seconds.. its a monster!

you should be running 0.5U as that is the latest installment of LFS...0.5t and 0.5q are old versions of the game...1
not sure i understand this.. why do you have to extract it everytime from the winrar? Simply make a folder and extract all fo the contents of the winrar file into it.. then simply run the lfs.exe to play and you should only have to do this once
LFS itself doesn't install like many other games, you simply extract and play....

download the skin you are looking for... then place the skin file into the /LFS/DATA/SKINS/ folder in the main lfs directory.
Then when you go in game, go to the garage and on the left make a new car colour, choose a name for that colour, when you have done that at the bottom of the garage screen a new button will appear where you can click and select your skin...

I would like to see a truck in LFS, would be my dream to come true. Bob made a lfs tweak setup for a super truck which he has on his website for S1 and i remember that was fun racing with that...
If we dont get an official truck by the devs which is highly unlikely then atleast I hope LFS becomes modable so that I could make a mod of my own!

Actually leaves are etable you could survive on a diet of greens... as thats what vegetarians do everyday and they live. Also if you dont eat meat you can always eat other things like wheat, corn, vegetables, rice and many more foods which you would survive on....
I myself dont eat vasts amount of meat, i havent had anything to eat thats meat for atleast 4 weeks... i dont eat pork or beef but i do ocassionaly have the od chicken here and there...
Hyperactive raises a very good point, a lot of food is wasted on feeding our animals for meant which then only gives enough food for a few people whilst the amount of food consumed by that animal is vast and would feed a lot more people.... I eat a lot of soya, micoprotein and meat free products, they are more nutrisous a healthier to eat that meat, but this isnt a discussion what is healthy and what isn't, its about how we treat animals who we share the planet with, the suffering we cause, the desctruction we cause which is all unecessary if only people would give up a bit of that money so that atleast the animals can live more peacefully before they are butchered to be served on peoples plates. I look at the killing of an animal as murder as i cannot distinguish what the difference is between the death of a human and an animal. To me they are both living things, they feed, they breed, they feel, they live in groups, they have legs, eyes, ears and brain and just because they look different and dont have the developed brains as humans have thats gives us the right to treat them like they were nothing??
