I need a new wheel at some point, and something with a clutch and better quality all round will be the way to go. I can't justify £150 at the moment though - so where will be the best places to look? (UK)
Back on topic for my post <SHOCK>
The new car and new features will be very welcome.
Looking forward to it immensely, I've gone a bit stale on LFS and that will kick-start me back into it over Christmas.
nHancer allows more than; SuperSampling, MultiSampling, 2x, 4x, 8xQ, 8x, 16xQ, 16x, Gamma correction...
I didn't realise there WERE more options! Not sure if I'd be able to see these anyway
I've had issues with nHancer and the latter version of the nVidia drivers, ie. certain functions not seeming to work properly, but using the nVidia control panel DOES work. I've uninstaled nHancer.
Thanks. I wouldn't try & con you, I've give the names of people around me on the server and it would be too easy to dis-prove. Unfortunately as time has dragged on people have forgotten.
Ok, thanks for the replies, I understand what you're saying too. Unfortunately I don't have a replay either as a result of being dumped from the game . I asked for people in that pool to come forward, behind me on the grid was Harjun, in front was Phoenix132, MikieH and JonathanRuss...
I wanted to bring up a query I had for race 5, pool 6; I was expecting an email/PM etc. before now.
I got -40 points for a 'did not show up' where in fact I DID show up but dropped on the grid due to lag. I was hoping for a DNS instead of DNSH.
Solar Hydro posted; "The horrgakx Pool 6 question is under study by the OLFSL staff. This is a low priority case, but it will be addressed."
T1ger posted; "Please bear with us, we have not forgotten you and a decision should be made soon. I would hope that this will be made before the next race. Thanks for your patience."
AtomAnt suggested that I got hit on the grid (I'd dropped before the start lights went on).
I assume you like the top picture but the bottom one is the result of nHancer tweaking?
Go back into your LFS profile in nHancer and set everything back to "application controlled".
Yep thats a common problem, because LFS doesn't have advanced filtering options built into it, you have to create your own with the nVidia Control Panel (my personal recommendation) or nHancer as in this thread; http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=30474
I suspect a bug in the new version of nHancer and I managed to get it working via the nVidia Control Panel.
I think I found a bug in the latest 163.xx compatible nHancer. My nVidia 8800GTS card has the latest 163.71 certified drivers.
even though I'd done the recommended changes in nHancer, LFS looked awful. I opened the nVidia control panel and looked at the LFS game profile. By changing one of the options from application preference to forced it now works - this was set in nHancer but it simply didn't work. Seems one of the options in nHancer doesn't work as it should. If you want more info and screenshots I can provide.
I've now got only very slight jaggies which are nolonger distracting.
Wasn't done deliberately, as I said in the post above it was when I'd joined the server for the race that I found a set that worked for me. I don't spend hours & hours practicing for these events and tend to improve the lap as time goes on.
