Simply editing the .cfg-file won't do. The extra functionality you see on some servers is made available by third-party software such as those zeug directed you to. And for the record, Redline Racing is using LFSLapper.
Here's a recent snapshot of the_angry_angel's Stats Thingy ("a simple stats page that fetches data from LFSWorld and makes 'useful' graphs for those who run servers") which I edited to add "categories":
Luckily for us, Thanks to Scawen cruise servers can easily be filtered out.
It appears as if you are required to install extra software to be able to watch the stream, I believe that might scare one or two people off. Did you consider using Mogulus? It only requires Flash which is installed on 99% of all internet-enabled PCs.
I'm really not conerned about the application not working in IE7. I might look into it later though since I suspect it has to do with how the application is embedded.
Anyway, we're half way through the race now (20 laps to go) and so far everything has been working just dandy with 20-25 viewers using 75% of my (theoretical) upload bandwidth.
Please tune in[/url] and watch the last few laps of the race!
I would greatly appreciate if as many as possible would visit my under development live server. Right now I'm broadcasting a race in the Torsdagsrace-series.
Tonight's race is 40 laps around Blackwood GP in the FXR.

Please disregard any lag - Tonight I'm pushing the server to it's limits bandwidth-wise intentionally. Also, the application under development and a bit buggy so try reloading the page or another browser if you're having problems.

Yes, something like that, along with some junior races. Though I (again, personally) don't really care what class is running. I'm mostly interested in seeing the track. Didn't get the chance to see it last year ...
I do feel the urge let you all know well in advance that a new meet is scheduled to take place in Gothenburg, Sweden during 5-7 June 2009. On the same weekend a Swedish Touring Car Championship (the Swedish equivalent of BTCC) event is held in the city.
Just like last year's meet (which had about 25 attendees) we are planning to organize a LAN, visit a pub or restaurant and of course check out the STCC races. We might also go karting, if there's time.
Perhaps this year Ben won't be the only non-Swedish/Norwegian LFSer who dares to show up!
Edit: And oh, perhaps this won't help you much but here is Google's translation of the "official" thread over at the Swedish forum.
I'm a bit surprised no one reported this yet since Seagate is quite a popular manufacturer and a lot of people are using their storage devices.
If you are planning to purchase or already own a Seagate drive in the 7200.11 family (like I am) please take note that severe issues have been reported regarding these drives.
After a couple of months use an affected disk may no longer be accessible because of a firmware issue. Seagate claims that no data is lost, however.
From what I can gather drives manufactered through december 2008 in the following families are affected: Barracuda 7200.11
DiamondMax 22
Barracuda ES.2 SATA
Still, certain drives may not be affected since they're not running the particular firmware version.
The whole ordeal is very mixed up right now since Seagate released a firmware update which was supposed to fix the aforementioned issues but instead completely bricked the drives that were updated. Obviously this update has been called back and is no longer available.
Information from Seagate may vary depending on where you look, but I've chosen to rely on this source:
Hehe. Someone once told me creative people like a messy environment.
Edit: Oi! Hold on. While browsing the thread I noticed that someone pointed out he'd post his Ubuntu desktop in a minute, which reminded me of my second desktop Tadaa! Nice and tidy!
At first it appeared impossible for me. I kept failing after about 15-20 beats with a single too fast beat (~-0.08). Then all of a sudden I guess I was able to calm down, but eventually failed because being too slow:
Are you absolutely certain that you're trying to start the actual dedicated server (available here). It sounds to me as if you're trying to run the standard LFS (client/listen server) executable.
Seeing that the Scirocco is about to be added to LFS I (well, me and others) thought it might be a good idea for me to get working on a skin pack update.
So. If you've created a skin for the Scirocco that you'd like to include in the "AI Skin Pack" please let me know.
