Before upcoming round there is a single update in balancing:

GT-V34 has been known for lacking the pace, especially on straights due it's higher drag, however the car has been drawn rarely and used even less,so a proper competition based confirmation was still lacking until previous round. Now 1% of air restriction was removed to give the car a bit more acceleration and straight line speed,so the new balancing for the AWD coupe is 7%.

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

The event with number of days of a normal year was run in track that from first view might seem very odd, however from closer look you can find 2 rather slow and technical sections which are connected by 2 long straights, each 1 kilometer in length. The track has already a history in RGE hosted races, the 3rd race here was featured in livestream for the first time and run with the heaviest LFS default car FZ5. With it's weight and over 300hp power it was a tricky challenge,as the car is everything but agile which would be best for this track. 26 drivers qualified,2 of them left before start, but from 24 starters everyone was classified as finished (100% finishing rate for first time in latest 13 races),however one retired with 2 laps to go - the only one not completing the full race distance.

Even if the track was different, the name on top of the tables was not - once again RTFR's most successful driver was the one to beat, even if his performance was not dominating,Gábor still was able to bring home 45th pole position,46th race win and 84th top5 finish, starting his record extending 9th winning streak. On the way to victory lane, after completing 7th lap Gábor reached another previously unachieved milestone - he led the 1000th lap in RTFR races during the 57th race in which he led at least a lap from 109 race starts. His closest rival was someone who thinks it's funny to use different names each race - driver we know under real name of Niko Puntola was a true number two also in the race, qualifying, racing and finishing in 2nd position, taking the fastest lap of the race in his penultimate lap - that is his 30th (2nd driver to reach this count),while he also added 98th top5 finish to his stats. For Madjester this was the best race in RTFR ever - he started from 5th position, but quite early progressed up to 3rd position and kept it until race finish to score his 1st top5 finish (previous best race result was 6th). Michal repeated his best qualifying result with 3rd position, however lost a position during the race and had to work hard to defend the 4th position - success led to his 15th top5 finish. The challenger was Lorenzo, who could not find the way towards better position,so he had to settle for 5th place finish, which is his 4th top5 finish.

VOD at Youtube:

From coming 3 tuesday races,2 will be held on same track, the normal RTFR in 2 weeks will be different though - it will be a return of previously used slick tyre mod, which will feature a race in Westhill. The mentioned track will be used on coming tuesday in RandomCar and in less than 3 weeks time in RTFR XL - both will be run in a Kyoto configuration which uses both GP and National tracks, connected by a concrete bridge which creates an unique crossing. In RandomCar it will be run as usual with the PL200 class cars while RTFR XL will use also a previously used mod - Prototype 2.

Only thing that's ruled out is manual clutch operated via button. You can still set to autoclutch and if so much needed - you can still use button to engage clutch.
It's set up to avoid misuse of instant clutch (on/off) which then has advantage over people who use axis clutch (or also auto clutch).

These short names are created automatically by very simple system (4 or more words take 1st letter of first 4 words, with 3 words - first 2 letters from 1st word, one letter from other 2 and so on) and seems like never meant to be an unique identifyer.
Same case is with all 3 Houssem's Bavaria Axx N Power cars - all are BANP.

Quote from CRAAACH via RGE discord :Session: 104th RTFR XL - Race
Time: 1st lap from 0:40 to 1:00 minute
Involved drivers: CRAAACH, [MVR] P.Neves
Describtion: After nearly overshooting 1st corner, P.Neves cuts throught the grass just to KO me out. I'm disgusted. Later on he just specs himself not completing even one lap...

P.Neves whole 1st lap was review and driver has proved his unwillingness to learn from previous incidents - despite being almost 6 seconds off leading laptime and more than 2 seconds off laptimes of majority of drivers, the driver still goes for overoptimistic overtaking manouvers not avoiding contacts to other drivers, but retires when noticing he cannot keep up with the field. This raises questions about drivers attitude towards longer races,so it has been decided to time out driver from our competitions.

[MVR] P.Neves (lfsw: PedroNeves110) - receives a DISQUALIFICATION from this race and additionally is banned for 3 months from Race Green Events organized events.

Quote from Eric :I like the layout! Kudos to whoever came up with that idea.

Thanks! Interestingly the concept of this configuration has came into minds of 2 people completelly independantly - the track we used in this race uses the 1st hairpin from much shorter layout (which includes oval's turns 2; 3 and the closest infield section that connects both oval exits. Eventually I came up to idea to make a longest possible configuration and used the 1st hairpin from the mentioned sprint layout.

At some point (apparently earlier) the driver you can see in 3rd place of results TJ came also to very similar configuration, which features different 1st turn towards infield in same location and not the sharp hairpin and interestingly he named it RO12,which kinda suggests official numbering - it's a configuration that could eventually be a candidate to make in LFS as official configuration, not sure if that would have been supported in real world, but since the track is effectivelly defunct, the I don't see a problem with that. * PENALTIES :
B2マ Rubi - receives 10 seconds penalty added to his finish time for pit exit line violation.

- - - - - - - - - -

The rear engined lightweight Ereso returned in RTFR this tuesday, but now switched to the longer XL version - extended was not only the race distance compared to it's debut, but also the track as we used most of the racing surface of Rockingham in a custom configuration. Since the car hails from late 70ies,it featured a bit tricky handling due to having engine behind rear axle and lack or antiroll bar of the same rear axle. But with some practice and set up,most were able to get decent control over the car - some better, some not so good while some found out one of the weak parts of the car - if not careful, clutch tended to overheat when launching with the rather tall 1st gear. With 22 drivers this was pretty much average attendance since the anniversary race, however 6 drivers retired for varios reasons resulting in repeated lowest finishers count since 99th RTFR XL.

During practice Loco set himself as main candidate for race win in this race - he had the best laptime during practice, best laptime also in qualifying (thus earning his 1st RTFR XL pole position),during race he improved the lap record once more to score also his first fastest lap of the race and after leading his first 21 laps in the series,he crossed the finish line to score his 1st RTFR XL race win - Loco's previous best finish was 7th in the far 68th RTFR XL 3 years ago. Even if one driver run away from competition, more attention was drawn to 2nd place finisher and the several laps long race for it - Twincam eventually was able to hold off charging competitor and brought home his best RTFR XL result of 2nd place finish. His previous best was 5th which he scored twice and during qualifying he also improved his best result - from 5th to 3rd. With good start TJ jumped into race lead and led the first 15 laps until his pitstop, after that his only highlight was the battle for 2nd position, which he could not conquer, settling only for 3rd place finish which is his 5th top5 finish out of 5 total finishes. 4th was P.Koivunen, who joined RTFR XL for the first time this year and repeated his best result with his 30th race finish - 3rd top5 finish for him. For 2nd race in row top5 was closed by Thehemuli, who scored his 9th top5 finish out of overall 40 race finishes.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
Besides the dominating Finland in RTFR XL Winners club,Lithuania is the only other country that has back to back new winners and that only for 2nd time since the far 9th and 10th RTFR XL when the club was joined by Dzidoris and Fast. Now with Trespasser 2 events ago and Loco in this race Lithuania repeats 2 new winners in row record.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
...is the 5th place finisher Thehemuli, who had a 10.18 seconds long work free pitstop. He had close competition, however the 0.01s longer pitstop would not be eligible for mention anyway as the setter did not finish.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
With only 2 drivers finishing in same position they started, there was plenty of movement in the field, most of it again was the organizer, who halved his 16th position start into 8th place finish - 2 positions better progress than closest rival.

Quote from Eric :If it was FIA rules, the green car (I don't know who the drivers are) would've lost that race because all 4 wheels are over the white line and off track.

In LFS majority of admins (excluding the TRRC people 5 years ago) are very liberal regarding white lines enforcing track limits with physical track and allowing curbs as extension (good old "minmum 2 wheels on track at all times" rule). But occasionally people ignore even these, like this guy:

Anyway, from what I know, the actual question was set regarding timing as Scawen already recognized, because I recall messages in Discord saying that white car was set as winner in LFS results. Similar situation happened in AWS 2024 season finale, where I had to overrule original LFS results in favour of driver who actually reached the line first:

LFS results put the #74 YES car as winner then.

But as Scawen already said - these problems will be avoided after the big update with both 1000Hz timing and better car body tracking.

NOTE ABOUT RACE DISTANCE:

Due lack of activity in laptime testing in past for the custom combos,it has been decided to give an estimated lapcount in information. The actual lapcount will be announced after qualifying as it will be calculated using fastest laptime in qualifying (same rule as always - minumum lapcount to exceed 75 minutes).

Server will be password protected 1 hour before qualifying start to keep not knowing crowded server jumpers out of way, pass will be always the same: green

Pitting rules:
Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

RTFR 2025 season 2 started with the classic LFS mid-range formula car FOX,run in the longest configuration of Rockingham that does not use any sections of the oval. This created a fast paced racing, where drivers could press the trottle to max for majority of the track with only few rather short braking zones. Season opener raised the attendance numbers again - with 30 drivers this was the most attended race since other race in Rockingham in end of april.

After the 3 unattended off-season races,Gábor returned to RTFR and did what he did many times before - put his name on top of all tables, scoring more achievements to his account. The hungarian was fastest in qualifying to score the 44th pole position for himself and 50th for Hungary (2nd country after Finland to reach this number). He kept the race lead after few competition attempts and run away from everyone to finish 12 seconds ahead after leading all 32 race laps, increasing his all time lead laps count to 993,so only 7 more needed to reach 1000. This was Gábor's 100th RTFR race finish, from which 45 he has crossed the finish line as race winner, scoring also his 42nd fastest lap of the race and 83rd top5 finish. The number 2 of this round was Suforr, who qualified 2nd (repeated personal best result) and despite being chased closelly by several drivers also finished 2nd to score his 9th top5 finish. Only 2 previous FOX race winners attended in this race, the other one besides Gábor was J.Katila, who finished 3rd from 7th position on grid, scoring his 28th top5 finish. Rest of the top5 was filled also by experienced FOX drivers from other series - 4th was TJ,scoring his 18th top5 finish,5th was the only winless driver of RTFR in today's top5 - Rex finished in top5 for the 2nd time.

VOD at Youtube:

Next week RTFR will feature the longer version - 104th RTFR XL will also be run in Rockingham, however additionally to yesterday's configuration it will use also most of the oval and couple tricky sections connecting oval to the national configuration. The selected car has also been seen in Rockingham, however run only in oval 3 months ago - next tuesday Ereso will use also most of the rest of Rockingham's roads. The race length is estimated to 36 laps, however if drivers beat certain laptime,it can be extended. Normal RTFR will return in 2 weeks with a race with one of the default LFS road tyre cars, running in previously used Layout Square custom racetrack.

[MVR] P.Neves - receives a final warning for multiple avoidable contacts and low car control during the race - future incidents will lead to actual penalties or even race ban!

- - - - - - - - - -

July featured 2 rounds this year and the 2nd of those was run in South City - in the tricky Chicane Route in reversed direction. 2 long straights and several tricky turns in this rather short configuration benefitted very different cars, which kinda levelled things out - top5 in qualifying featured wide range of cars and their weight. With 23 drivers qualifying, this was the most attended round of the 3 latest rounds, however this race went into history books with lowest finishing percentage ever - 4 retirements from 22 starters resulted in 81.8% finishing percentage which is 3.2% less than previous worst from round 7 of 2023,coincidentally also run in South City.

The driver, who won already 3 rounds this season added the 3rd win to his achievements in this round - TJ qualified 2nd,but having advantage of the AWD car MZG Sedan, jumped into lead right at the start and left the competition chasing for rest of the race. That's the 3rd podium finish in row for the brazilian and he can now try to tie J.Holmes' record of 4 wins during a season. 2nd position was taked by Lagooga, who got the lightweigth LFS default car Raceabout for this round - 4th position in qualifying was improved to 3rd position quickly, but he had to work hard to gain another position, eventually succeeding. Only 2 cars in RandomCar are lighter than 1 ton and both of them are featured on podium in this round (besides the 1.7 ton winning car) - Loco used previous experience of the Stellar to race it from 5th position on grid to 3rd in finish.

With each of standings top4 scoring more points than the driver ahead, the standings are now tighter than before - just 10 points covering top4 with 2 others in slight distance within 1 round points score. The order however remains unchanged - R.Kardol still keeps the position in front despite 9th place finish with the Fraud Wheeler in this round. Thehemuli finished 7th with his Acosta and halved the gap to leader to 2 points,Unite scored all 4 possible bonus points from this race for fastest laps in both sessions with his FXO,5th place finish brought him to 5 points gap to leader, all of them chased by winner of 3 rounds in 4th position.

Team S1dus lost a point of their lead and is now 15 ahead of defending champions B2R,RGA is still 3rd,but already 55 points off lead,so they're racing to defend 3rd position now. Lithuania nibbled 3 points of Finland's lead, but defending champions are still massive 52 points ahead,Poland is still 3rd and already 89 points off lead. The leading car XRT did not score a point despite having 1 car in the field, but their lead has been reduced by just a single point (only 4 highest scores count) - Fraud Wheeler is 14 points away from top of the table. Raceabout is the new 3rd position, but has 3 other cars very close in the table.

19 different cars were used in this race by 23 drivers,a total of 27 were drawn, one of those to 4 drivers - Acosta now broke the tie and is now most drawn car, leaving Talot in 2nd place (just 1 draw).
Several new bests and repetitions of car results have been set during this race - TJ's 2nd place in qualifying and racewin were exact repetitions of MZG Sedan's best results. Lagooga set new bests for Raceabout - 4th place in qualifying and 2nd place in race both were one position better than Nosle's achievement just over 2 years ago. Loco qualified 5th and finished 3rd with the lightweight Stellar, which beats Mandula's result in exactly same track last season - previous bests were 7th in qualifying and 4th in race. Twincam raced the high-tech Adda to 6th position in this race, which is 2 positions better than the result Thehemuli achieved in last season's 1 hour long finale,8th position in qualifying was just a repetition of the best result. Trespasser redrew the GT-V 2600GTX when receiving it for previous round, but the randomizer stayed stubborn and awarded hin the same car also for this round - the lithuanian had no options than to set the initial best results for this car, which are 12th position in qualifying and 10th in race. Aplatz repeated exactly both best positions with Dash - 14th in qualifying and 11th in race, both set by Jsk last season.

There is a limitation of 2 track selections per season,so with 3rd race win,TJ is locked out from selection, which has been relayed to 2nd place finisher - he still has not replied and he has time until midnight of sunday to submit next track selection.
