Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

After 2 well attended rounds, this one suffered a minor setback - the LFS classic XRT racing in a custom circuit layed in the Layout square did not seem to be an appealing combination for many usual RTFR guests. 22 drivers started the race, marking the lowest number of this relativelly new year, however most of them had their share of fun during the race as you can see on livestream recording - there were plenty of battles for positions.

To defend the honor of track builders, team S1dus arrived with 3 of their most regular drivers in this racing series,2 of them were main favourites for taking the race win and keeping the team's winning streak in races with XRT alive. R.Kardol was beaten in qualifying,so he had to start from outside of front row, however he kept following the polesitter early in the race until he found a way past him - the dutchman took over race lead on lap 8 and kept it for the remaining 11 laps to score his quarter-century race win, setting also fastest lap of the race when trying to run away - that's R.Kardol's 18th of those, while he also started the 2nd century of top5 earning by scoring his 101st. Gábor was the fastest in qualifying, scoring his 39th pole position, but unlike in most races latelly,he was not able to use it to score another win in his 100th RTFR race - the hungarian had to settle for 2nd place finish, scoring his 76th top5 finish. However he put this race in history books for other reason - finishing just 0.3 seconds behind race winner, this was the 18th closest finish between all 353 races. Adam scored his best ever qualifying position by being the 3rd fastest in session, improving his personal best by a single position, despite some struggles during the race he returned in the same position for the race finish, repeating his best race result and scoring his 6th top5 finish. Also Thehemuli started his 100th RTFR race and also he was able to put the anniversary race into top5 counting position - he finished 4th being included in same position fights as both in front and behind him drivers, scoring his 18th top5 finish,top5 was closed by the slowest trackowners driver of the day - Unite scored his 93rd top5 finish.

VOD at Youtube:

Next week RTFR takes a break and leaves the server free for some RandomCar action - round 2 of the season will be run in a custom track at Fern Bay,which is very similar to Black Alternate configuration, however it does not use the track part with original starting grid and pitlane, cutting the track over Cadet's connection between roads. In 2 weeks RTFR will return as usually with one of the slick tyre cars - some information about combo can be heard in the livestream recording in video above. In 3 weeks RTFR XL will feature one of the most difficult cars from approved cars list - the wild McLarry D8M will be make the list complete by being featured now in all 3 RTFR versions (including the neglected RTFR CCCC). The drivers will have to tackle Aston's 8 kilometers long Historic configuration for estimated 33 laps (lapcount will be calculated using fastest laptime of qualifying session).

The 2025 season started with a very slow and and also finished with very similary slow car,but unlike season opener, this was a well known car - the 660cc engined K-car with AWD drivetrain was run in Fern Bay's Rallycross track for 2nd year in row, however the attendance was significantly lower than last year as only 9 drivers arrived to tackle the dusty course. With championship on the line, the top6 drivers arrived and raced for their final positions in standings, however just one of them was successful with position gain - 4 drivers just defended their positions.

The 3-time AWS vice champion and (before the race) tied winningest driver in league's history came into final round as standings leader. He needed just a 2nd place finish, however he obviously wanted to finish the season as a race winner - Dzidoris started the race from pole position (his 11th - now all time most) and led every single lap to score his 12th AWS race win,4th this season, leaving no doubts about championship outcome. Thehemuli qualifed just 4th,but found pace during the race, setting also fastest lap of the race when chasing leader late in the race, finishing on podium position for the 1st time this season. The defending champion was the number 3 of the day - he qualified 3rd,finished 3rd and that being 3rd in standings, successfully defending the position.

Full season recap will be posted within 2 weeks.

Back then in Aston it wasn't that noticable, but today we're racing in Rockingham and something stung in my eyes right away - car's shadow (raised the car so it's better visible). I guess for better quality some LOD2 improvements are required.

Quote from TheStigUSA :Don't insult me because I happened to be born in a place where they use mile, that's not my fault.

Wow,chill, you should not feel personally insulted by a joke about a country stubbornly sticking to non-SI units.
Quote from TheStigUSA :I have an engineering background in the real world

...and yet you talking about downforce while editing drag. Razz Sorry,no intention to insult, just pointing out some misalignment of definitions - removing the negative lift surely also helped to make the car more realistic on technical side. Even of your calculations are correct - I'm still wondering if it would be really possible to reach 380km/h with 560 horsepower motor with car like this,as it is quite a large block. I wonder if Tesla made the announced Cd a bit better than it actually is. Uhmm

I did not vote, but checked the car in garage and here's what's wrong from first glance:
- as many do,also you sinned in aerodynamics part - the car has such extremelly low drag, that it allows to exceed 400km/h (translating to your ancient units, that's 250mph),which is way past realistically possible for such car. Also you have added downforce, however I seriously doubt if a sedan type car generates anything more than the amount that counters car's natural lift from air that gets trapped in wheel arches.
- power seems to be higher than real world's counterpart has - quick research led me to 365kW max power available, however this depends if you're going for proper replica.
- also regarding quality - LOD2 has holes in model, probably looks very weird from distance,LOD3 seems to be autogenerated by editor, you should tweak it closer to actual form of body.

Round 6

Sunday, 3rd March
18:30 UTC / 19:30 CET / 20:30 EET

Just like last year also this year round 6 is Jamaican Trophy where a car with K-car background will be raced around Fern Bay's rallycross track, the big difference is - last year it was the penultimate round, this year - the season finale which will decide fate of 3 individual titles. 740 kilograms weight coupled with 660 cc engine does not sound like a proper racing machine, but it's still a challenge to be fast - finding the tenths gain over rivals will be crucial in qualifying, keeping the pace through 59 kilometers race - deciding factor for good season ending.

Both non-individual awards have found their new (and also old) owners, but there are still 3 individual awards that need their holders - with 4 points gap between top2 in drivers championship means there's a lot of intrigue for season finale, while in case of some failure, there's the 3rd driver, who can still upset top2. Also Cross challenge award is still up for grabs as this will be 3rd and final round for the award. As always only drivers with at least one point scored from previous 5 rounds can take part in final race - this year only 18 drivers have qualified for round 6.

Round info:
Track: Fern Bay Rallycross (FE5)
Laps: 29 laps (59km)
Car: CHORUS ATTENDANZE XT-Z 4R

It's been a while since a high difficulty car was featured in RTFR XL,this week it was the 6 running of the fastest aids free standard LFS car Formula V8. There were few more powerful cars latelly, however with low weight the 450 horsepower single seater is known being quite a challenge and Kyoto's longest standard configuration in reversed direction added plenty of spice to this challenge. 21 drivers qualified for the race (repeated lowest in latest 5 races),all of them stood also on grid. 5 drivers retired from this race, interestingly all within laps 6 to 9 in the race - all others run until they saw chequered flag,10 best even after completing all 39 race laps.

This race went into RTFR XL history as a driver managed to set a new all time record - for the first time ever a driver won more than 4 races in row. Gábor Was the fastest in qualifying by almost a second, scoring his 17th pole position and setting himself on path for the new record. The hungarian led the first 14 laps until his pitstop and regained the lead after his closest rival's pitstop, keeping it despite his 2nd visit of the pitlane - eventually everything was clear as Gábor crossed the finish line as race winner for the 5th time in row,15th overall, scoring also his 16th fastest lap of the race and 25th top5 finish. The combo selector used his selection to improve his best finishing result for the 2nd race in row - he finished 2nd this week, beating his last month's result by a position. The lowest step on podium was taken by fastest finn of this race - Thehemuli repeated his best position and added 6th top5 finish to his stats. Ohnifus scored his 3rd top5 finish by finishing 4th,top5 was closed by the only other driver with lead laps - Zesty scored his 5th top5 finish from 10 total race finishes, climbing a position in final results due his teammate's penalty.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
This was the 6th race with FO8 and 3rd with FO8 in Kyoto - interestingly all Kyoto races are noticable in FO8's attendance chart. The first ever visit resulted in car's lowest ever attendance number (7),the other 2 are 2 highest attended FO8 races, this week's race being just 2nd highest. It was also 3rd race in Kyoto GP Long reversed configuration - all 3 of them have been run with 3 very different mid-engined cars.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
Seems like it could be possible to finish this race without any pitwork, however noone attempted it and mention simply goes to owner of shortest legal pitstop time - 8th place finisher S.Martin got a new set of tyres and some fuel during his 10.06 seconds pitstop, improving also his best result in both sessions.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
9 positions gain during the race is the best progress, made by Jsk,who qualified 16th and rallied up to 7th position,3 positions higher gain than the one of 2nd best in this chart.

VOD at Youtube:

For the 2nd race in row the top2 finishers are locked out of combo selection,so 3rd place finisher is the one to select what we will race in 4 weeks. Thehemuli however has not submitted his choice yet - he still has time until next tuesday - once known,it will be announced in our Discord server and in next RTFR results. Winner of it however will not be able to select combo for 100th RTFR XL - this honor will be relayed to community as there will be a public poll to decide car and track for the 100 minutes long centurial race. Next week RTFR will return to it's usual 30 minutes + 1 lap distance in 353rd RTFR,running a standard car in custom track. Tuesday in 2 weeks will be mixxed cars field as a result of randomising car selection - yes,it's time for 2nd round of RandomCar!

Today guys pointed out an unrealistic laptime in stats of RTFR server,so I downloaded the mpr (attached also here) to check how it was done. Well,in this case it's very obvious and if noticed,it's a simple ban from server and case closed. What worries me - if something like this is possible in such large scale, maybe it's also possible to improve laptimes just by a little, gaining a second or two per lap, hidden behind latency from other continent,it might be even unnoticed to server admins. Is there any solution to detect this?

Pitting rules:
Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

Quote from ZFRL•Thehemuli via RGA discord :Session: 352nd RTFR - Race
Lap/MPR time: Lap 2 - 2:45.00->
Involved drivers: 184 Charlie, Thehemuli
Description of incident: Charlie is off the racing line with lower speed than usual into the chichane. Thehemuli is going for an overtake on the slower car, but Charlie turns into him and sends both of them into the wall causing massive suspension damage.

Charlie enters the turn from outside and dives straight to inside with car already there, causing collision under braking.

184 Charlie - receives 30 seconds penalty added to his finish time for avoidable incident on lap 2,last chicane entry. The penalty results in loss of last completed lap.

This tuesday we had yet another proof that GT3/4 racing is the most popular these days - the 36 qualifyers is the highest number since 13th february of last year, however 3 of them decided not to start, while starters number was increased by one previous winner, who are allowed to start without qualifying if there are free grid spots. Just like many previous times,Blackwood's track was a venue of fast paced racing with plenty of close encounters, which in many cases were too close, heating up tempers of some drivers. Despite plenty of paint trading, there were just 2 incidents needed a review - everything else was left unreported and with that regarded as racing incidents.

Not much fun facts about the winner as it was the driver winning lots of RTFR races latelly - despite losing lead after 1st turn,Gábor regained it on back straight of first lap and run away from compatition towards another race win, taking home all the achievements from this tusday's race. This add one more in each cathergory, resulting in 41st race win,38th pole position and fastest lap of the race, and also 75th top5 finish. Suforr tried to challenge the hungarian for bith pole position and race win,but ended up repeating his personal best results in each session - 2nd place was his 5th top5 finish from 10 total finishes. El Nano repeated his personal best in qualifying, but was able to improve a position during race to finish 3rd which is 2 positions better than his only previous top5 finish. Also 4th place finisher scored his 2nd top5 finish,Dodislaw's 4th place however was a position lower than best achievement,top5 was closed by 6-time RTFR race winner S.Kapal, who found a total of 9 positions improvement during the race.

VOD at Youtube:

The XL version of RTFR will take over the server on next tuesday, where LFS's own fastest aids free car will be run in Kyoto - full event info will be posted shortly. Also next normal RTFR race in less than 2 weeks time will be run with one of the original LFS cars, visiting the least used environment, some details about combo can be picked up when watching latest livestream recording. Week after that the randomizer will give out some random cars for the racers for the 2nd round of RandomCar Series 2025.

(browse for various championships and single round results)

The fastest race of AWS returned as penultimate round of 2025 - Winter 200 as always was a 200 kilometer race around Kyoto's oval track with FXR. And as always cooperation was the main element of success. Quite early in the race it was clear that only 5 drivers are candidates for race win as other 4 had or got involved in some trouble, losing touch with leading five. First both front row starters got some gap to rest early on,but around half distance all leading 5 drivers were running together until next split happened.

The 2-time polesitter of Winter 200 Falcon got a great lap together and scored his 3rd ever AWS pole position and led 6 laps during 1st half of the race, however 2nd half a lot went wrong for championship candidate as he lost contact to leading duo and eventually lost connection due power issues. The defending drivers champion and Winter 200 winner Sobis led his first lap in this race just in 2nd half of the race after the "reunion" on the track - eventually he together with M.Kapal run away from competition with effective bumpdrafting as both set the fastest lap of the race on same lap. As always in such situations, everything came down to decision on the final lap - Sobis stayed behind M.Kapal before last turn, got a great pull over the start finish straight, which was enough to pass his rival by length of car's nose over finish line, clinching his 3rd win of Winter 200 (only driver to score more than 1 win). Despite leading more than 3/4 of laps during the race, the 2013 race winner M.Kapal had to settle for 2nd place finish. Late in the race Rony was able to drop off his teammate and run the 3rd position home to score his 7th podium finish of this round.

Both championship leaders did not appear on podium for the 1st time this season, despite one of them losing connection, there was not a big difference of points scores for both - Dzidoris finished 4th and Falcon was classified 7th,taking also the bonus point for pole position,so the gap between both leaders was increased by 2 points, reaching a total of 4. This means that 2nd place finish in season finale is enough for the 3-time vice champion Dzidoris to score his 1st series champion title of AWS as with 3 wins he wins every points tie situation - setting fastest laptime in qualifying for last round lowers the requirement to 3rd place finish to clinch title. Falcon however needs to outscore his teammate by 5 points. The defending AWS champion Sobis is the only other eligible driver for championship win, however with 11 points gap he needs huge failure of his countryman for any chances for another title.

Oval trophy has been now concluded as Winter 200 was the 2nd of 2 rounds for this award - by winning the last race,Sobis repeated last year's success and scored his 2nd Oval trophy award in row,3rd overall, winner of 1st round for this award Falcon was classified just 7th in this race, pushing him downd to 2nd place in Oval trophy standings,3rd is Dzidoris. Rookie of the year award is also pretty much secured - leader Cyk needs to score just 2 points in final race in Fern Bay to clinch the award without caring if his main rival Madjester wins or not - the gap between 2 only active rookies is 16 points.

Even if the Teams championship has been secured,RGA still scored the most points of the round between all teams, even if it was the smallest amount of the season. Yes motorsports is in clear 2nd place, however still needs to score few points to make sure 3rd place team Zafiralis does not pass in the final round. The 5-time Nations cup winners Lithuania added another success as they clinched the 6th title after this race - their points gap now is 64 points which cannot be decimated anymore. The defending champions Finland was a weak competition this season as they barely can hold their 2nd position over single driver nation Canada which is just 2 points off 2nd position.

The season finale of this winter league is set in the winterless island in the Carribean - Fern Bay will host the final round in it's rallycross configuration, where the low power K-car Chorus Attendanze will be used as the transportation around the 2 kilometer mixxed surface track. Last season it was the most attended round of the season with 17 drivers standing on grid - this year 18 drivers have qualified for season finale (1 point in standings requirement),hopefully most of them will join for exciting end of the season!

The 3rd season of car randomizer series started in South City under typical english weather, only rain was missing. What wasn't missing was the action on track - as always different car characteristics gave chances for some drivers to progress through the race, for some it was trying to not lose positions. From 26 attending drivers,2 retired, but only one before reaching the 50% distance completion required to be classified in results.

This exact track has been used before in RandomCar - in the inaugural season the round 7 was held here and also then there was the same winner. Just like 2 seasons ago R.Kardol led all 17 laps, this time with slightly faster car as the dutchman finished the distance almost 11 seconds faster than in previous race, giving organization the thoughts of possibly adding another 1% of restriction for the Nortz XRT2 in future. Dodislaw drew the lightweight mid-engined coupe Acosta Starlin and deffinitelly used well it's great handling to finish 2nd in the twisty track, allthough losing a total of 16 seconds to winner over 17 laps race. Last step on podium was taken by Nosle in the classic LFS car XRT.

By scoring all possible points out of this round,R.Kardol takes 3 points lead in the standings over Dodislaw,Nosle is 3rd with 5 points gap to leader - after 1st round everyone else is lined in same order as they finished the race this week.

The lead in teams championship has been taken by inaugural season's champions RGA,who leads Sosiski Racing by 11 points and Team S1dus by 12. In nations championship there's an unexpected leader - nation that has been actually banned from most international competitions due certain military actions, closelly followed by race winner's nation Netherlands in 2nd position and defending 2-time champions Finland in 3rd. The constructors championship has been renamed to Best car award and is currently led by the winning car Nortz, which leads Acosta by 3 points and XRT by 5.

A total of 25 different cars were drawn for the season opener, spread over 37 drivers,11 drivers did not attend, taking 3 cars away the chance to score some points. 3 different cars were drawn 3 times, however only 2 of them had at least 2 drivers. Talot remains the all time most drawn car, despite having just a single draw this time,2nd most drawn is Acosta, which got 2 draws this time.
There was another addition to drivers who got the same car for the 4th time - Three Jump received the FZ5 once again, scoring also his best results with the car in this round. The newest addition to RC cars lineup is MZ-S Roadster, which was drawn for 2 drivers, however only one of them attended and set the initial best results for it - 9th in qualifying and 10th in race were achieved by defending RC drivers champion. Houssem was the 2nd driver to receive Hiro CCF2 and also the first to use it,setting the initial best results for the car - 18th in qualifying and 13th in race, interestingly finishing one position behind his own made car.

The winner has already selected the track for next race - we're going right to the next track in list, where a rather unknown configuration has been selected. The Fern Bay Silver Alternative has been used in RTFR 2 times in it's early times, but in reversed direction,so technically it's a new track in Race Green Events hosted races - layout is yet to be properly made, measured and tested before announcing race distance. Also the winner has nominated Coquette for voting that will take place between rounds 3 and 4 - the car will join Cammera in popularity contest to get selected for RandomCar.

Round 5

Sunday, 16th February
18:30 UTC / 19:30 CET / 20:30 EET

After race with longest lap comes the race with fastest race speed - welcome to AWS diversity racing! The Winter 200 is the most classic AWS round as it has been in schedule in every single season, often even as season finale. This year as penultimate round the race at Kyoto Oval will once again benefit drivers who can cooperate with others - 2 cars have twice the engine power, but less than twice of wind resistance! With high speeds, any errors can be costly,so winning this race has proved to be difficult on regular basis - event's history shows only a single 2 time race winner during 13 years.

As always in the oval rounds we will use hotlap qualifying to ensure solo effort being decisive in order to take high grid positions. The running order of qualifying will be decided from Drivers Championship standings - lowest placed drivers will start qualifying while standings leader will take his run last. Everyone will have to run 3 laps - outlap and 2 timed hotlaps, after which driver should spectate, only fastest lap counts of course. 2nd timed lap is optional - theoretically cars are faster in 2nd lap,but in case of a mistake, driver can spectate without finishing 2nd timed lap.

As usual,to avoid many questions,Race Green Events' statement about bumpdrafting:
"With closed wheels cars it is not forbidden, but in case of any reported incidents it will be treated as intentional contact,so everyone has to make sure that he knows what he is doing!"

Previous round pretty much sealed the championship of being a duel for title with 3 outsiders still eligible, but all of them need high points scores and hope for both leaders to have a bad race - if any of the leading 2 wins,it will pretty much rule out of championship the positions 3 to 5. Also the minor award Oval Trophy is at stake this sunday where one of the drivers will enter round with 4 points advantage over the only 2-time winner of Winter 200.
