Quote from michal 1279 :Event: 100th RTFR XXL
Lap: Lap 1, MPR 1:40, post-underpass
Involved drivers: [MRc] Michal, Wj/ Egorka?
Description: Egorka makes a very opportunistic (senseless to be more precise) attempt to pass Michal into the fast righthander after underpass, only small time lost, but feels like unnecessary/unsportsmanlike move.

Michal brakes early on 2-wide situation on approach to turn and is off normal speed, so the pass attempt from Egorka is valid, however the execution is bad - Egorka does not steer properly beside car ahead and hits in on turn approach.

Quote from michal 1279 :Event: 100th RTFR XXL
Lap: Lap 4, MPR 9:15, boothy chicane
Involved drivers: [MRc] Michal, /SRP/ HachiRoku, [MRc] jsk
Description: HachiRoku makes a late dive on Michal, carrying too much speed into the chicane, forcing Michal into the haystacks, thus destroying his suspension and ultimately whole race. Also involved was jsk, who got spun in the chain reaction started by this event.

Hachiroku cannot hold the inside line when entering turn with car on outside and pushes it out of track.

* PENALTIES :
[WCL] J.A.Katila - receives a WARNING for avoidable incident entering turn 1 of lap 1 - future incidents might lead to actual penalty.
Wj/ Egorka? - receives a WARNING for avoidable incident entering turn 9 of lap 1 - future incidents might lead to actual penalty.
/SRP/ HachiRoku - receives a WARNING for avoidable incident in Boothy chicane of lap 4 - future incidents might lead to actual penalty.

This tuesday on the 1st RTFR XXL... Well,it was actually just a bit extended version of usual RTFR XL - just 1/3 longer than normally - and that in community's voted combo. The LFS's own grown XR GTR won the voting by just 3 votes and that with some campaign from certain members, beating the most popular GT3 car. However the track selection was pretty much straight forward - Kyoto's GP Long config with an extra chicane had more than twice as much votes as 2nd most popular track. The longer race did not scare off the racers, even better - the 100th event went into history as the most attended RTFR XL ever with 44 participants, beating 50th and 61st RTFR XL by 1 driver. Unfortunatelly a total of 7 drivers decided not to race, leaving 3 spots on grid free - putting this race with tied 5th most starters.

We can only speculate how the race would be going if some strongest competitors would do more effort during qualifying, but in this situation Gábor was in his leading position practically unchallenged from green lights to chequered and the hungarian scored yet another race win, starting the race from pole position. After 100 races it's easy to calculate winning percentage from all time races count - Gábor's most recent win 16th, making him being successful in 16% of all races, however the percentage is more overwhelming in latest 11 races - 73% (8 from 11 races). Additionally Gábor scored his 18th pole position (20th for Hungary), 17th fastest lap of the race and 26th top5 finish. J.Katila started from 25th position and was even held up in the 1st turn incident (partially caused by his father, who started ahead), but with higher pace and a bit shorter pitstop the finn rallied up to 2nd position in finish, finishing just over 5 seconds behind race winner - 18th top5 finish earned for the 6-time RTFR XL race winner. Isaac started from even lower position - 30th, and also he was held up by same incident, but also improved lots of positions during the race to finish 3rd in his 1st ever started RTFR XL - interestingly his 31st position in qualifying is 1 position worse than the only previous attempt. The fastest driver in race (regarding single best laptime) was Lagooga, who scored his 6th fastest lap of the race (tied 4th most), but also his story is similar (low effort qualifying, held up in 1st turn) which led him to 4th place finish, adding 11th top5 finish to his achievements. R.Kardol did much more effort in qualifying as he put himself on outside of front row, however his race performance wasn't strong enough for higher position than the bottom position of top5, scoring his 54th top5 finish - that makes drivers from 5 different countries in the top5.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
Both XRR and KY GP Long with Boothy chicane have been used twice before but not in combination of each other. One of these XRR races and one of the races in KY3B were won by 2nd place finisher of the latest race J.Katila, while the 1st of KY3B races was won by Gábor - and that was his 1st ever RTFR XL race win (46th RTFR XL - BF1@KY3B).

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
XRR's fuel tank was too small for 340km and tyres could not really endure full race, so everyone, who run further than half distance, pitted for both tyre change and refuelling. Ayoub was the latest pitter on lap 35, so probably the need for least amount put him on top of the shortest pitstop chart - 16.41 seconds pitstop. Could have been much higher position if he would not lose connection with less than 2 laps to go, so the maroccan is classified just 23rd.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
With progress of 27 positions, Isaac gained the most positions during the race - 30th to 3rd, which is 2 positions better than his teammate's effort, who started just ahead of him and finished right behind him.

VOD at Youtube:

After the enduring 100 minutes of racing, RTFR will return back to it's basics on coming tuesday - just a simple 30min + 1 lap race is coming up, bringing an odd mix - race spec car with road tyres on track type the car never actually saw during it's original days. As always more details will be revealed in official announcement this weekend. In 2 weeks time RTFR server will be handed over to RandomCar and it's round 4 in Westhill, while also next RTFR XL in less than 4 weeks time will be run in Westhill - the fastest LFS car BF1 has been selected to be run in soon to be official LFS configuration, however until it's published, we will have to use open config mode for Westhill International without chicane.

After 145 normal distance races,on 24th january of 2017 RTFR saw it's very first longer version under the name RTFR XL - run with crowd's favourite XFG in (back then) just 2 years old new Westhill National reversed. The race was won by Mikke representing Air Attack team, interestingly he won also 2nd RTFR XL and no more. Now after 8 years and almost 4 months 99 races have been completed and in latest race the overall race distance exceeded 20 thousand kilometers, completing almost 4600 laps.

Since 2019 the WCL team has offered sponsorship, creating yearly championship standings - 4 different drivers have finished the season as standings winners,2 of them twice. Since 2020 we have our own forum section making it easier to check past results as each race has it's own thread and since 2021 races have been streamed live by SimBroadcasts.tv creating additional promotion to the event, boasting attendace by ~70% on average.

A total of 35 differen cars have been used,15 of them just once while FZR have seen already 8 races. The event has visited all 9 LFS environments, however both environments without actual racetracks were visited just once. 56 different track configurations have been used with 2 being run 5 times - Aston North reversed and South City's longest standard config named City Long, while also other direction of these configurations have been selected 3 times.

407 different drivers from 50 different countries have participated through these 99 events, however 36 of them never started and 140 - never been classified as finished by completing at least half of the 75 minutes race. 159 drivers finished in top10 at least once,101 - in top5. There have been 32 different race winners,14 of them being able to win just a single race. 6 racers have won at least 5 races while half of them managed to score even a double figure amount of race wins, all of them representing same team. 27 drivers scored pole position,31 were able to set a fastest lap during a race. 57 drivers have led at least 1 lap,13 of them have led at least 100 laps,2 going past even 500 laps.

In this special 100th RTFR XL race the race distance has been increased to 100 minutes (as always - lapcount calculated to minimum amount to exceed the nominal race time) and to award the drivers for efforts, also points count will be increased by 1/3 - using usual system everyone's points will be calculated like this: scored points*4/3 - rounding up/down using classic method (0.5 and more means rounding up,less than 0.5 means rounding down).

Pitting rules:
Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

Some historic stats:
Last race won by: A.Valta
Last XRR race won by: [WCL] J.Katila (51st RTFR XL - AS GP)
Most XRR race wins: 2 races,2 different winners (2 different countries)
Last Kyoto race won by: S1DUS*GáboR (98th RTFR XL - FO8 @ KY GP Long rev.)
Most Kyoto race wins: S1DUS*R.Kardol - 5 wins (Finland - 6 wins)

2025 standings after 3 of 12 races (best 10 scores count):
S1DUS*GáboR - 61
RGˆRony - 47
Wj/ dod1slaw - 45
Current rating leader: S1DUS*GáboR (+17 points)

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

A car class similar to LFS GT3 class from old times seems to be popular also in the newer times with car mods available. Plenty of grip, decent aerodynamic assistance, rather low weight and 300 horsepower engine - properties that makes the racing relativelly easy, which automatically attract more drivers. The 356th RTFR is the first for over one year to have 40 or more drivers participating, however 4 of them did not attempt to start the race. Many drivers of course increase chance for incidents and this race wasn't spared from those - exiting 1st turn, several cars collided, involving several others, however most kept running - with 34 classified finishers,it's a repeated highest number in almost 3 years time.

Late in qualifying session,Gábor found the missing few hundredths of second to beat the provisional polesitter by the smallest of margins possible in LFS - 0.01s,scoring his 40th RTFR pole position from 107 qualifying sessions. After a little shuffles with 2 drivers in the 1st lap,the hungarian settled in the leading position, keeping in for whole race to score his 42nd RTFR race win, taking also the 39th fastest lap and 79th top5 finish. Despite starting also from front row and leading few hundred meters in 1st lap,Lagooga had to work hard to regain his 2nd position - that's 22nd top5 finish in his stats. Also Suforr led the race for short while, but eventually could not follow the race leader and getting involved into struggle for 2nd position put him down to his original 3rd position, which is his 6th top5 finish. Also 4th place finisher MousemanLV finished in same position he started, improving his best result by a position with the 2nd top5 finish,Adam had a weak qualifying, but was able to climb up plenty of positions to finish on tale end of top5,which is his 7th of top5 finishes.

Next week in the plan is the longest ever RTFR event - the centurial 100th RTFR XL will be celebrated with century of minutes of race lenght. The community voted XRR to be the car for this race (also 300th RTFR was run with this car) and selected Kyoto's GP Long with extra chicane as the venue, full information will be posted later today while server has already seen some practice activity. In 2 weeks time normal RTFR will return with usual 30+ minutes race, combo as always was mentioned during the broadcast in video above.

6th edition of our annual endurance race returns the distance back to it's basics - after some consultations with community there were responses from not many potential racers,so before risking a 10 cars cruise for 4 or even 5 hours, let's set the race a bit shorter, which gives more chances for drivers to enter alone. Of course it's still possible to make a team effort in race - as always entries can have up to 3 drivers, meaning for those not keen for long driving it will be possible to take part by driving just 1 hour. Mandatory pitstop rule has been adapted to shorter distance - for those opting for single pitstop it will be 2 minutes long pitstop, for those opting for more pitstops strategy - just 1 minute and 45 seconds mandatory stand time,so it does not really matter if entry doing 1 or 2 pitstops, they should be on same level anyway. Even if there haven't been any tryers,we will still keep the "Opel Manta rule" - that allows applications of less competitive cars for entries that want to tackle the challenge, but don't want to race the PL200W (TBO) class cars.

One element of the race has been kept same - the track itself. Actually for the 1st time in 6 years history same track will be run again. The 18.34 kilometers course was not extended this time, mainly because potential ideas turned out to be not well raceable, while organization did not make the track more simple despite requests by few as the track length and difficulty is actually one of the key ideas of the event - it's not just 300km being an endurance factor but also being focused on the tricky track with all the twists and turns. The race lenght for this year will go up to total of 311.8 kilometers, meaning the winner's race time should be several minutes past 3 hours. The race itself falls on the "international Star Wars day",so may the 4th be with you!

Last year we introduced the 24 hours qualifying, where all entries had plenty of time to set their times, giving lot's of flexibility, with help of J.Palmer and New Dimension Racing we will repeat this type of qualifying also this year - NDR will provide also live admining during the race.

Timetable:
Saturday,3rd May
15:30 UTC / 17:30 CET - start of 24 hours open track qualifying
Sunday,4th May
15:30 UTC / 17:30 CET - end of 24 hours open track qualifying (started laps can be completed)
16:00 UTC / 18:00 CET - race start for the 17 laps race
* the shown CET time is current (summer) time - if not residing in CET time zone, always refer to UTC for correct time zone convertion!

Qualifying:

During the 24 hours long session all the entries will be allowed to do as many laps as they wish and can,but only the fastest laptime of each entry will count. The session end time marks the point when entries may start a timed lap. For this session different layout will be loaded in server, which has additional objects to prevent track limits violations.

Race:
Race will feature an extended starting grid - cars will be placed on grid in rows seperated by 20 meters distance between them to lower the probability of early incidents. Every entry is expected to be familiar withthe track, pitlane entry, exit and driver change procedure for error free pitstops.

Mandatory pitstop:
Race requires mandatory minimum time to be spent in pitstall, which has different length depending on amount of pitstops done. This is done to compensate extra pitlane entries as some cars require more pitstops and multidriver teams may require more pitstops for driver swaps. A pitstop (driving under speed limit, braking for pitstall and accelerating from it) costs around 15 seconds without including pitwork - this time is used for minimum pitstop time calculations:
• 1 pitstop - 120 seconds (2 minutes)
• 2 and more pitstops - 105 seconds (1 minute,45 seconds)
Entry which has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by doubling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 10 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 270 seconds penalty added to finish time (120s*2 + additional 30s).
* Entries running cars with challenger status are exempt from mandatory pitstop requirement!

Track and it's limits:
Due the low average width of the course it is important to point out about track limits - track is defined by paved surface (asphalt/tarmac/cobblestones) and 2 wheels have to be on it at all times! Drivers may not cut corners over grass and also may not run wide on grass when exiting turns with more than 2 wheels. If such event happens due a mistake, driver has to lift off throttle to make sure no advantage is gained. Fastest laps in both sessions will be checked for any violations while other drivers might be randomly checked during whole race. Best way to avoid any penalties is to stay fair!
There are serveral sections where leaving paved surface with all wheels is tolerated - glass patches which are marked with yellow and blue chalk arrows are a legal racing surface. All around the track there are posts on both inside and outside of turns - even if these have no legal use and they are just visual help to determine track limits, drivers still should avoid knocking them down.
With some help of community we named several turns and sections, which can also be used as orientation:

Cars and restrictions:
To level out performance of all available cars,an restriction table has been created - the used restriction method is voluntary air restriction in percents and added weight in kilograms. Each car has it's advantages and disadvantages, but overall deemed to have relatively equal performance after our limited testing.

Car setup limitations:

Slick tyres are not allowed!
Mods configs are not allowed to have rollcage, racing wings/spoilers,crashbars and lightbars - please select configs without these (illegal equipment)!

Some cars still have WIP status.
It is possible to apply other cars from public mods list, please check this post below for link to car applications thread.
Drivers are responsible to use correct restriction during pre-event practice! Server will have the restrictions enforced in the last week of practice and during official event sessions via PiranMoto Car Limiter insim app.
DISCLAIMER: Race Green Events is not affiliated to any of these user created cars! This means that organization of this event cannot affect existance and quality of these cars. We monitor any updates and check for their effect on cars performance to decide if any alteration of restriction is needed.

Other info:
Blue flag behaviour - due long lap very rarely such occasion might happen. Even if the usual Race Green Events' rule of "you may not block lapping car's passing manouvre" is used also here,it is advised to try not to stay ahead of lapping car and let by in safe location before lapping pass is needed. Lapping cars still have to be very patient, wait for safe opportunity to lap and not force a pass in narrow turns.

Basic racing rules - we'll use as always basic rules of clean racing and judge incidents with common sense. It is advised to avoid any contacts in any situation to ensure clean and fair racing.

Rejoins - in case of time out, rolled or undrivable car it is permitted to rejoin the race. To ensure better visibility of race positions, the rejoined entry will receive back the completed laps as soon as possible - race administration will check the replay during race. If the timeout or telepit has happened before reaching 1st split of a lap,one lap will be deducted to avoid possible misuse!

Postrace action - after the distance has been completed,3 highest finishing cars are asked to take a place on a podium for post race media, located between tribunes on the left side of Tribunes backstraight (check track map above). After top3 have taken their positions and photos are made, all other competitors also may join the area besides podium for further photo sessions.

Chatting - is limited during the race session. Allowed are short communications like appologies, thanking for letting by or between drivers of same entry when deciding when to pit and make driver swap, allthough it is encouraged to use external voice chat application (Discord,Teamspeak, phone call or whatever suits best). Race Green Events can offer a private voice channel in it's discord server if needed.
Unneccesary conversations will receive warning first and if not stopped - entry will receive drive-through penalty.
Not competing observers may not use chat at all!

Skins - specific car skins are not required in this race, allthough it is highly suggested to have a skin that displays entry number on car's side. Feel free to use event's official full logo on your skins! Also skins must fullfill lfsworld skin upload requirements and drivers may not use skins they don't have rights to use - like private skins of others or other teamskins.

Name format - entry number (may not be colored black or dark blue) required in front of your registered name, number and name must be seperated by a space.

Event server - server is online,is set in practice mode and has a custom times tracker for laptime tracking made by Jam (Racon) - check the times table with command ;tt (note that until cars list is finalized, the server does not enforce restrictions). Airio can spectate connections with very high and unstable ping for safety reasons (stable connections even from Australia should not be affected). Server will be open for public use until race weekend. For private practice feel free to use the attached layout.

Description: Rik drives into me on a straight line

(1) R.Kardol is already on inside of turn 2,contact happens because Dennis leaves too little space for a car on inside line.
(2) R.Kardol brakes a bit too late and hit's rear of Dennis' car,a minor contact which should be avoided.
(3) R.Kardol brakes a bit too late and hit's rear of Dennis' car, causing additional contact after initial one.
(4) 2 drivers not leaving space to each other and exchanging contacts without effort avoiding them.

* PENALTIES :
S1DUS*R.Kardol - receives a warning for several avoidable contacts.

RandomCar's 4th visit to Kyoto was run in the base version of the custom configuration known under name "North",previously used in other direction with additional hairpins. The track with it's rather faster turns deffinitelly benefitted cars with more mechanical grip, especially during the race granting them more pace consistency than to cars with higher weight and narrower tyres. The round actually attracted highest number of drivers since 2023 round 3 and repeated for both qualifyers count and starters count the 2nd highest number of all time in the league.

3 drivers got the LFS's own RB4 and all of them qualified themselves in top5 - this eventually resulted in all 3 of them leading the field, however the constant battling between themselves probably resulted in lower pace and also higher tyre temperatures, which very likelly cost any of them chances for race win - a brazilian driver starting from 7th position advanced through the field and took the race lead with 1/3 of the race to go,keeping the lead to cross the finish line as winner for the first time in RandomCar. With this TJ put the Talot in victory lane for it's 3rd time - this car is only the 2nd one with more than 2 race wins. Ayoub started from even lower position - 12th,but also got the pace improvement during the race, climbing all the way up to 2nd position in finish. From leading trio of RB4s only one driver made to the podium - Adam, who was the slowest in qualifying with the specific car, made it to the highest position, leading 3 laps on the way.

With the XM-5 standings leader did not show high performance in the round 3 - he finished just outside top10. With this Dodislaw lost almost all of his lead and now has just a single point advantage in standings table over 2023 champion R.Kardol. Thehemuli in 3rd also cut some gap to table lead away and is now 7 points apart leader.

In teams standings the previous leaders were "freight-trained" by 3 teams, pushing them down to 4th position - new leaders are Team S1dus,who are 5 points ahead of defending champions B2R - both these teams scored 40 points in this round. RGA scored just half of that and dropped down a position in table to hold 3rd with 10 points gap. There is a new leader also in nations standings - the defending 2-time champions Finland have taken over lead and is 12 points ahead of previous leaders,Netherlands is the new 3rd,already 30 points away from leaders. Despite not being even drawn for this round, best car table is still led by XRT,currently 3 points ahead of 2 cars - Fraud Wheeler and XM-5.

49 drivers were active in this round and randomizer drew 28 different cars, interestingly drawing 7 different cars 3 times each,Talot still being all time favourite for randomizer with 48 overall draws,4 more than Acosta - both receiving one draw for this round.
Just 2 drivers improved all time best results for cars, both setting 4th position in each session - in qualifying Twincam was 4th fastest with VPI-3 which is a single position better than R.Kardol's previous best achievement, but MousemanLV finished 4th with Dorito SR,which is 3 positions better than Dodislaw's result.

4th round will be 1st ever RandomCar's visit to standard configuration of Westhill - previous 2 were in different custom configurations, which used the actual racetrack just partially. The 4.4 kilometer national configuration was selected to be run in reversed direction, the race will be 17 laps long, resulting in the highest race distance this season. Between rounds 3 and 4 there will be voting for a new additional car for series - each of 3 race winners submitted their selections, which will join 2 best car from previous voting and a car selected by organizer, the voting will be posted soon in our Discord server.

2 cars have received adjustemnts of their restrictions between rounds 2 and 3 of 2025 series:

FEND TORUS has been scaring drivers away with it's mass and in most cases it was not used when it was drawn. Last round one brave driver used it and proved it's currently lacking a bit of performance,so the air intake restrictor was reduced by 1% - new mandatory restrictor is 3%!

XR GT Turbo also had more activity than before - with 4 top5 finishes through first 2 rounds of the season including double win in latest round it's deffinitelly one of the fastest cars in the list,so it's restrictor is now doubled to reach 2% intake restriction.

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

With 190 horsepower car might not seem to be very high performing, but with just over half a ton weight, the LX6 is the fastest road legal car of LFS,well at least in twisty tracks where it's LRF mates cannot use their superior power. With it's attributes,LX6 is surely driver's car - challenging in both fast and slow turns and Kyoto's longest standard track has all of turn possibilities. With 31 drivers in qualifying this was the 3rd most popular LX6 race in RTFR,however 4 of the qualifyers did decide to not start the race, while from 28 starters 2 were lost in first couple laps, both getting involved in incidents - there were some complaints, but no actual reports/protests,so we can assume all the incidents were settled as racing incidents without need to review.

Last estonian win in RTFR was registered in 185th RTFR in september 2018 and here's the interesting part of this fact - it was the first and until this tuesday also the only race win for Jorpa, which happened also with an LX car back then. Jorpa was the 3rd fastest in qualifying, followed closelly both front row starters until they tangled and jumped into race lead, keeping it for rest of the race - after 32 minutes of racing the estonian joined the RTFR multiple winners club, scoring also his 4th top5 finish. Gábor did chase the race leader, however despite keeping him in sight for most of the race,he had to settle for 2nd place finish, scoring his 78th top5 finish. Also 3rd place finisher improved by 2 positions between start and finish - R.Kardol finished 3rd to score the record extending 103rd top5 finish. Lagooga was 2nd best in qualifying, but after 1st lap incident fell down to 10th position,so he had to do plenty of overtakes to return at least up in 4th position to score his 21st top5 finish, setting also fastest lap of the race which is his 8th. Top5 was closed by Dodislaw, who added the 3rd top5 finish to his stats.

VOD at Youtube:

In 3 weeks RTFR XL will celebrate it's century and the combo is yet to be decided - in the currently open voting there are 2 rather significant leaders, while in track voting there's a track that gained most votes, but plenty of others are still within striking distance. Make sure to cast your votes for both CAR and TRACK! In 2 weeks normal RTFR will return with one of the slick tyre racing machines - which and were as always was mentioned during the latest broadcast. But on next tuesday the RTFR server will be taken over by RandomCar - the 3rd round of the PL200 class league with many different cars will be run in a custom Kyoto configuration known under the name North, make sure to sign up or reactivate the signup to get your car drawn on monday!

I just bough a cheap mini PC and connected it to my router, accessing it for configurations via AnyDesk - best option I could find. The dynamic IP was also not a problem as LFS hosting allows to set a range in the access control.

And neither LFS has option to put grass,so something will be different anyways. Was just a suggestion, because currently there's nothing that stops running wide in several turns.
