.

Championships:
  • RandomCar Series Champion - awarded to a driver with the most points scored through all 10 rounds - only best 8 scores count
  • RandomCar Teams Champion - awarded to a team with the most points scored through all 10 rounds (team will score finishing points from it's 2 highest finishing drivers and all round bonus points)
  • RandomCar Nations Champion - awarded to a nation with the most points scored through all 10 rounds (nation will score finishing points from it's 2 highest finished drivers and all round bonus points)

In all championships - in case of a tie, higher rated will be driver/team/nation/car model with highest finishing position,if equal - it's amount,if equal - second highest position etc. If all finishing positions happen to be equal, higher rated will be selected using same system from qualifying results. If they also happen to be equal then as a tie-breaker will be used last round finishing position. Between seasons there have been several changes in cars lineup and balancing:

ADDA AR-EIGHT V10 could not keep up with other cars,so it's restrictor has been reduced by 1% - new restrictor is 36% for the high performace sports car.
CAMMERA 730 TURBO with it's low drag is still pulling on straights away from everyone,so it needs to be tamed a bit - +1% air restriction to reach 12%.
FRAUD 040 still hasn't shown any signs of competitivity,so it's restriction is reduced by 1%,the new balancing is 18% + 180kg.
GT-V34 MINE9 also struggles to keep up with competition,so it's 10kg weight ballast has been removed and the car is balanced only by the max possible air restriction of 50%.
NORTZ XRT2 V6 BITURBO 2023 has been performing strong latelly,so it received an additional 1% of air restrictor,18% is the new needed value.
TALOT SUNS LOMIS also has been performing well,so it also gets an extra 1% restrictor,it's new balancing is 11% +102kg.

2 cars have left the RandomCar lineup, each for different reasons:

BZ30 ROADSTER has been changed by mod creator as an optimization between several versions of the chassis - it has become a base version with much less power, therefor not competitive in PL200 class anymore. As a possible replacement the BZ30 ROADSTER SPORT is listed as candidate, however it has to go through voting to be added.
IMPREZZIVE C8 "won" the voting for most unpopular car between seasons (voting planned to be held between each season),so it has been retired from RandomCar,allthough theoretically it still can be nominated for voting to be added back again.

Currently a season interval voting is being held for addition of new car - 5 candidate cars are listed and the winner of voting will become on next sunday the 42nd car in RandomCar series that will start season in just over 2 weeks time. If you want to cast your vote, please join Race Green discord server and do so in RandomCar-voting channel!

NOTE ABOUT RACE DISTANCE:
Due lack of activity in laptime testing in past for the custom combos,it has been decided to give an estimated lapcount in information. The actual lapcount will be announced after qualifying as it will be calculated using fastest laptime in qualifying (same rule as always - minumum lapcount to exceed 75 minutes).

Server will be password protected 1 hour before qualifying start to keep not knowing crowded server jumpers out of way, pass will be always the same: green

Pitting rules:
Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

Some historic stats:
Last race won by: S1DUS*GáboR - 3 wins in row
Last FUND MUTSAND GT3 race won by: 1st race with this car
Last Westhill race won by: B2マ M (86th RTFR XL - PROTECH 92 GT3 @ WE International rev.)
Most Westhill race wins: S1DUS*Botsi & B2マ M - 2 wins (Lithuania - 3 wins)

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

Once in a while RTFR offers something a bit more difficult and this tuesday the challenge was a ridiculously fast car in a lower grade track - Fern Bay. This race was all about consistency in fast paced race, where each smaller mistake could turn into quite a disaster and racing close together with others just increased the chances for disaster to happen. 24 drivers started the race and we lost almost 40% of them due retirements of different kinds during the first 9 laps, however the remaining 15 drivers kept running to finish the 32 laps race,or for most - 31 laps race, some even one less.

With a record of 2 wins out of past 2 races run with the BF1,Gábor entered this race as main favourite, clocking the fastest lap in qualifying to score his 37th RTFR pole position - that was just a start of his success this tuesday as he led every single of the 32 laps during the race, tying Botsi for all time most laps led count already after 1st one and overtaking him after completing 2nd. With this he scored the 40th RTFR race win, taking also the fastest lap of the race home - his 37th,adding also 73rd top5 finish to his stats. Suforr tried to challenge for pole position as he set a laptime just 1 hundreth away from pole position time, earning his 1st ever RTFR front row start (previous best was 3rd position in qualifying),however he lost a position early on just to regain it later - also the 2nd place finish is his best ever result, improvement by a position and 4th top5 finish overall. Thehemuli had some struggles early on,however found pace later and even tried to catch 2nd position, but simply run out of laps and finished 3rd,scoring his 16th top5 finish. Also R.Kardol had some positions regaining to do and finished 4th and last on lead lap to score his 99th top5 finish, while another RK finished 5th just behind race winner to score his 87th top5 finish, first after more than one year break.

VOD at Youtube:

Next week RTFR XL season will start in Westhill runnning a GT3 car - let's hope it does not start with a bang the year 2024 started in RTFR with another GT3 car, full information about the event will be posted tomorrow. Normal RTFR will return for round 3 of the season in 2 weeks time, which car and where can be found out when watching broadcast recording. However in 3 weeks time the RTFR server will feature a field of many different cars, randomly assigned to drivers - also RandomCar official season will be finally started!

100 laps in less than 37 minutes - that's rate not seen much, but in AWS that's nothing extreme as this was the 5th series visit to the short 600 meters oval. Even if the Imprezzive cannot get close to FXR's pace set in 2022 (best lap 20.26s),the racing was still very fast paced and not many were able to keep the consistent pace through the whole race, resulting in plenty of position swaps between start and finish as only 2 drivers finished in same position they started from.

One of these drivers was Falcon, who broke the 22 seconds laptime mark in qualifying, marking himself as top candidate for win. The canadian led every single meter of the 60 kilometers race - already from green lights he started to ease away from competition and never had to fight direct battles for race win, setting also fastest lap of the race with 14 laps left, with this he joins the list of AWS race winners as this was the first one for him. The defending AWS champion Sobis proved his experience in this specific track and found 2 positions to gain during the race to finish 2nd,during the late phase of the race decreasing the gap to leader to 2.3 seconds - the lithuanian is the first and only non-RGA driver to finish on podium during the 1st half of the season. The current standings leader Dzidoris qualified 2nd besides his main rival for championship, but struggled during the race, eventually rescuing 3rd place finish.

With these results the race for championship has returned to square 1 for both main candidates - Dzidoris and Falcon reached a tie in points count, however the lithuanian is ahead on tiebreaker (2 wins against 1),the new 3rd place in table is now the defending champion Sobis with 14 points gap.

After 2 rounds the Cross challenge standings are now led by Falcon, who is 2 points ahead of Dzidoris,3rd also here is Sobis, who also here is the defending champion with 9 points gap to leader. 3rd and final round for this award is the season finale in Fern Bay. This was also the 1st of 2 rounds for Oval trophy, where Falcon takes the lead by 4 points over Sobis, with Dzidoris in 3rd another 2 points behind. This award will be decided in round 5 in Kyoto oval. With another 4 points scored,Cyk extends his lead in Rookie of the year standings, closest rival however has changed - Madjester is currently 2nd best rookie in the series,12 points apart in table.

Despite not sweeping the podium for the 1st time in season,RGA keeps pulling away from competition with big steps and now reaches 61 points gap over Yes Motorsports, which is closelly followed by Zafiralis. Also Lithuania has set another big step towards Nations cup win as their drivers extended the lead to 32 points over defending champions Finland, which is just a point ahead of 3rd placed nation Canada.

The next round will be run in a much bigger circle in Westhill - the Westhill Street Cup will bring back the recently updated electric AWD version of XFR. The car has received more realistic aerodynamics and better suspension, making it ready for it's first assignment on fully paved surface - the 10.6 kilometers long Westschleifenring. This round will add another element to racing - it will feature 2 races each 5 laps long, however car's energy reserves allow only around 4 and a half laps of full power racing,so it will be needed to save some of it.

Round 3

Sunday, 19th January
17:30 UTC / 18:30 CET / 19:30 EET

Circuit racing is always about driving in circles, occasionally the circles are shorter and have more circular form than most and this sunday it will be the case in AWS - we're gonna race 100 very short circles around the 600 meter dirt oval, layed out in infield of Westhill's International circuit. This will be the 5th AWS race in this short track oval, however for the first time it will be run with the 345 horsepower Imprezzive B2,which in restricted form is known from RandomCar. In pure form the car is able to lap under 22 seconds,so expect to have a fast paced race where errors might be costly, either in form of time loss, position loss and damage with pace loss.

First 2 rounds had a repeated podium order, resulting in same order also in standings - with different track type we can expect also different results,so this round has a great potential to mix up situation in table, only question is - who will gain the benefit of it?

Round info:
Track: WE Dirt Oval (WE1X)
Laps: 100 (60km)
Car: IMPREZZIVE B2
Previous winners : S1DUS*R.Kardol (2024 / CZLS), ZFRL•Thehemuli (2022 / FXR), Trespasser (2020 / RB4), LLM.Sobis (2019 / RB4)

MPR download: Qual / Race

The 2025 of RandomCar started with a simple test race running candidate cars and few least used cars. This helped the organization to see how they perform under actual racing conditions and gave the racers the chance for a simple fun race with variating field of cars. 2 of the previously tested candidates turned out to have unnoticed updates - one received a reduced restriction, other lost all of it's balancing settings and still proved to be uncompetitive for high positions - the previously 2nd best car in voting will be moved to "tested and uncompetitive" row. Additionally 2 cars surely need additional restriction - the polesitter and race winner run away from competition unchallenged, while another car simply passed everyone on straights, allthough struggling in turns.

During the weekend a voting will be set up in our discord server with 5 cars from the candidates list - the one receiving most votes will be added as the 42nd car to official series lineup, which will start it's journey through 10 rounds of 2025 season on 11th february - the selected track is South City's longest standard configuration in reversed direction, which is a repeat track from 2023 round 7,won by R.Kardol with MZG Sedan. Full season information will be posted in less than 2 weeks - there will be few minor changes regarding drivers championship, manufacturers championship and draw procedure.

Race statistics / RTFR .mpr folder / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

Start of the new season was run with an agile sports coupe that's just over 10 years old on the car market - with just 200 horsepower it's not very powerful, however well balanced and not really heavy for a modern car. In the 4.3 kilometer custom configuration in Aston that combines both shortest standard configurations it surely felt like home - plenty of different turns deffinitelly were mastered by the car if the driver was good enough. A total of 34 drivers joined for this combo which is highest attendance in the latest 9 RTFR events,2 of them did not want to start, another 2 did not want to finish...

Different car, same winner - once again the driver with already most wins in RTFR was on top of the results tables in both sessions, including on top of the positions list whole race long. Gábor was the only driver to beat 2 minutes and 2 seconds mark in qualifying, earning himself the 36th pole position in his 100th RTFR qualifying. Leading all 16 laps gave him a total of 851 laps led in RTFR - that's just 1 less than all time leading count by Botsi. The win was Gábor's 39th,the fastest lap his 36th and the top5 finish - 72nd. Despite being the closest rival,R.Kardol was not really a competition for winner today,so he had to settle 2nd place finish, earning his 98th top5 finish,Suforr took the bottom step of the podium for the 1st time, adding the 3rd top5 finish besides one 4th and one 5th place finishes. Falcon joined RTFR for the first time for almost whole year and added 41st top5 finish to his stats by finishing 4th,closelly followed by another returnee (previous attendace was in 296th RTFR) Mousemen, who scored his 1st ever top5 finish in RTFR,improving his previous best result by a single position.

VOD at Youtube:

Currently there are no plans for next tuesday, but that might change spontaniously while next RTFR is set to happen in 2 weeks, some hints about the combo as always were mentioned during broadcast. In 3 weeks time also the RTFR XL will start the year of 2025 - the selected combo is Fund Mutsand GT3 at Westhill's shorter configuration National.

* PENALTIES :
Nejc - receives 30 seconds penalty added to his finish time for pit exit line violation on 3 occasions.

- - - - - - - - - -

Patience - that was the key trait for this round,as the most powerful car ever in the league run in such closed environment surely posed plenty of dangers each lap - even the slightest mistake could result in damage that significantly influences car handling, some had to learn this the hard way, while one driver gave up before reaching 1/3 of the race distance. 11 quite expensive cars were standing on grid waiting for green lights - surely race to go into AWS history in some different way.

For 2nd time in row the best 2 drivers in qualifying were the Race Green Autosports teammates Dzidoris and Falcon - and both were again involved into fight for race win with difference from previous round as this time both led their share of laps. Winner of opening round led the first 14 laps before making a mistake that caused loss of race lead, however the lithuanian managed to pull himself together and erased gap to leader, using his opponent's mistake with 2 laps to go to return into lead, crossing the finish line first again to celebrate his 10th AWS race win, while his 10th pole position sets him in the tied leading position in all time pole positions count. The race was simply 2 laps too long for the canadian driver to score his 1st AWS race win,so he had to settle once again for 2nd place finish, but at least he was able to set the fastest lap of the race, earning an important bonus point. Also there are no changes in 3rd position in results - just like in round 1,Rony started from 4th position and finished 3rd,this time making a position on his own without other driver's network failure.

Dzidoris gained another 2 points lead over his teammate Falcon and now is 6 points ahead in the championship table,no changes in 3rd position either - Rony is still in this position, currently 11 points behind leader.

This round is not counted towards any minor award standings, however the Rookie of the Year competition has been activated as there is a 2nd rookie driver with a race finish - Cyk currently is on top of the table (while being 7th overall) with 10 points lead over Nejc, who made his debut in this round.

For 2nd round in row RGA managed to lock out podium from competition, scoring again all possible 32 points, which puts the 7-time series champions in a commanding 45 points lead over 2 closest rival teams Zafiralis and Yes Motorsports, both represented by a single driver. The 5-time nations champions Lithuania are currently leading nations standings by 22 points over defending 3-time champions Finland, rest in the table are single driver nations, which are led by Canada in 3rd position overall,3 points apart 2nd position.

If this round could be considered as the most difficult, next one surely will be the most dizzy one - 100 laps around the short 600 meters oval might seem a lot, however with laptimes around 22 seconds, this will actually be the shortest race in calendar this season. The car for this race is the 345 horsepower Imprezzive, known for many from RandomCar,but in AWS it will be unleashed with full power, which will be controlled by knobbly tyres on a slippery dirt surface - powerslides not optional!
