August round marked itself in top of several charts - it featured the longest track in RandomCar history. With 10.68km the custom track in Kyoto was more than 3.5km longer than previous longest track, logically marking also the lowest lapcount in one race and since the average speed of the course was very high - it was also the longest race if not counting the 1 hour long season final races. With the race speed, this was the fastest average race speed of the season and 3rd fastest all time. Unfortunatelly this was also least attended round of the season and 3rd least attended all time.

Despite the high average speeds, the car on results top was the least powered of the cars list - the 182 horsepower Stellar was benefitting from it's low weight (just 825kg) through many fast turns and with Trespasser's guidance set the fastest laptimes in both sessions, including leading all 8 laps of the race. While closest drivers were busy with disputes who will run in what position, the lithuanian run away and started his run to his 2nd RandomCar race win. The 2nd position in season standings raced himself up to 2nd place in race results from 4th position in grid - Thehemuli scored his 1st RandomCar podium finish since the 2 wins late in inaugural season, running the only rear engined AWD car in the series for the 2nd time. Another lightweight low power car took the bottom step of the podium - Acosta Starlin was run for the 2nd time by Madjester as the portugese driver finished 3rd for the 2nd time in the season.

Without standings leader in the field,it was expected to have new leader after this round - with the 2nd place finish Thehemuli jumped into 11 points lead over closest follower TJ,who finished 5th in this round with the heavyweight Fend Torus. The unattending previous leader R.Kardol dropped down to 3rd position and is now 17 points behind leader. Since this season only best 8 points scores out of 10 rounds count towards drivers total points count - after 8 rounds all drivers with 8 scores already can only upgrade their lowest counts (double points season finale however is an almost guaranteed improvement),so both closest chasers of the leader still have good chances.

Lead change happened also in teams championship and also for the same reason - none of the Team S1dus drivers attended this round,so the defending champions Born to Race jumped into lead without very high points score from this round, taking 12 points lead in standings. RGA is still 3rd,42 points behind leaders and has 2 teams closing in for the podium. No real changes in nations championship - the defending champions lost another 3 points from their lead, but Finland has still lot of advantage to not worry about title defence as they're still 49 points ahead of Lithuania,Poland in 3rd position is now 95 points behind and effectivelly is out of title race. XRT still keeps their lead in best car award table with the 4 good scores from 1st part of the season, however it's lead is now just 6 points from the new closest chaser Acosta Starlin. Fraud Wheeler has been pushed down to 3rd and is still 14 points apart from leader.

25 different cars were drawn to 35 drivers for this round, however just under half of the drivers attended,so only 13 different cars were actually used. Most drawn was the freshest car of the series - Cammera 773,which received 3 draws for this round resulting in 4 total, having also the 1st participation in this round. Most drawn still is Acosta, receiving it's 57th all time draw,Talot with 3 less is 2nd. Another noticable fact from draw - T.Soini received URC1 for the 4th time,so he has already 2 cars received for 4 races, noone still has drew same car for more than 4 races.

With only 17 drivers attending, there are still lots of new best results for cars - 7. Most notable of course is Stellar's 1st pole position and 1st race win by Trespasser, who beat his countryman's Loco's best results with the car - 5th in qualifying,3rd in race. Also 2nd place finisher Thehemuli improved best results for the FZ70 - 4th in qualifying and 2nd in race, improving Madjester's qualifying effort by a single position, but race result of 6th position was previously shared between Madjester and Thehemuli himself. GT4tube set the initial best results of Cammera 773 - 7th in qualifying and 4th in race. TJ was 5th in both sessions with the Fend Torus, improving R.Kardol's best results of 10th position in qualifying and 11th in race. Twincam improved best results of Dash 46 - 10th in qualifying and 6th place in race, previous best results were shared by Aplazt and Jsk as both qualified the car in 14th and finished in 11th. Sobis beat previous best race result of Madjester by a single position for Bavaria A34 as he finished 10th. Also Rony improved his Poscher Caynam best result in just 1 session - he qualified 2nd,beating 5th position previously achieved by 2 finns - Unite and Arska.

Trespasser used his 2nd and last track selection for the season and selected another high speed track for 9th round - Aston Historic. Race distance is set for 11 laps, which will result in new highest race distance besides 1h season finales and race average speed once again is expected to exceed 130km/h,getting close to all time highest of 139.6km/h.
