Way to be cool Takumi...if you want to make e-friends to enlarge your e-penis, at least get some GOOD photoshop skillz. As for this thread, it started decent. Getting to 3.2ghz on a E2180 is nice, but thats about where it died...

I'm curious about the overclocking. Rumor has it they will do 700/2000 happily. I'm a little skeptical about the single slot cooler. Of course they will run cooler due to 65nm, but is the cooler up to par for some overclocking, and posibly volt moding?

Try it when your high, it really is a tripp and a half The whole concept of following exploding lines and dots on a screen to a piece of plastic in your hands is quite somethig...

Ahhhh I remember I used to do that in old FPS to the spam n00bs, or the wall haxxorz. I think I got 4-5 people actually falling for it, tis a classic trick

Hate the series with a passion. If your gonna play guitar, play a real one. It's more fun, and cheaper...

^Thats pretty stereo-typical. Vista is nice IF you take the time to set it up correctly, and configure it to a reasonable sense. But I honestly do NOT like the look and layout of Vista, seems too fruity...

Could be thermal throttling? Is speedfan setup for the right T-Junction? Sometimes they get a 15degree off set with certain chips. Just get a couple different readings just to make sure speedfan is configured correctly, nothing worse then not knowing a processor is cooking.

The Antec case comes with a quality 500watt PSU (Two 12v rails at 17amps, 85% efficiency)

As for the RAM, theres OCZ Special Ops, and Gold XTC kits going for $85.

Of course that was just a 'wish-list' I'm sure half that stuff will be chucked by the time I actually get a new PC. I've got a $150 head start, so I guess I'm getting there. But once I get my license all my cash will be going towards the car

Nice overclock, temperatures arn't too bad either. What settings do you have your RAM at? I can't remember if you can change the multi on those chips, but if you can, droping it would be useful, that way you can get better memory bandwidth and still get a high clock (333x9, or 375x8, maybe even 430x7)

I've been LOOKING into saving for something around $1,300...I know the 45nm chips are around the corner, but no need for me...
Antec Sonata III Case (2x120mm fan, 500watt psu with dual rails) $130
Gigabyte P35-DS3L $105
Intel E6550 (4mb L2 Cache, 1333mhz fsb, 7x multi) $185
OCZ Vindicator heatsink (120mm fan, 6 heatpipes) $40
2x1024MB DDR2 800mhz RAM (Haven't decided on specific brand yet) $90
Seagate Barracuda 250GB HD (16MB Cache, 8.5ms seek) $75
ATi 2900Pro HD (Might swap it for a 8800GT if they are good when they come out) $300
BenQ FP202W V3 (20" LCD, 1680x1050, 5ms response) $220

I'm still shopping around, and of course don't have the cash together. Some parts will probably change as the months go by, and if I'm lucky I'll have the PC by the start of summer, maybe the fall.

The only part I enjoy was at the very end of the first video...
"...first!"
"F*CK!!!"
*Slams chart*

The rest just seemed too forced, really took the humour out of it...

Did you end up doing the neck yourself, or buy a pre-built off warmoth or similar?

Ahh you must have missed the white when it comes to improv, or general lead, I play blues. My rhythm work is based on rock, but some funk/jazz flair.

Wow, amazing attention to detail. Should be almost mandatory. The original brake texture is just a turn-off when making videos

Ahh yes, I remember downloading LFS around that time, ran so amazing on my PC, no game could touch it. Now everything has evolved soo much, although I like how the game download size is still SOO small. Take a look at other game demos, they are nearly 1gig these days.

Holy shit are you serious? That's pretty 'up-to-date' for school standards. These are the computers we got for the tech lab, just at the end of last school year. The rest of the school has P4 Hyper-threads @ 3.4ghz, 512MB value ram, intergrated Intel graphics.

The CD will likely only have the drivers, an e-manual, and promotional items, nothing nessesary to use the wheel (you can get drivers off the net) Good to go mate Just jump over to www.logitech.com for the drivers.

Thermal throttling definitely, next time your playing LFS for a while, alt+tab into the desktop and screenshot CPU-Z (google the name for the program if you don't know what its about) If it really is thermal throttling that could be your problem, then open up the case and make sure the dust is cleaned out of it (you can use those cans of CO2 from computer stores) Make sure you focus on the heatsink for the processor.

I spent a good few weeks in Ottawa, then traveled over to Montreal, this was in July. The locals were VERY friendly, and had amazing bilingual skills. The scenery and weather were both beautiful, and we even hit up a nice go kart track, twas a grand time.

(BC Is the best place to go if you believe in the power of the plant! Ontario is also kick ass because everybody around Muskoka is down-to-earth mellow, very stoner-like)

Could anybody link me with a DECENT system requirments list? I'm hoping I'll be able to squeeze some game time on the school computers when this comes out, the ones in the tech lab are half decent...

Well my Strat was finished in a couple coats of rubbed on Tung Oil on the neck (turned out the smoothest neck anybody whos picked up this guitar has felt) I sanded the maple with a few thousand grit before rubbing in three coats. If I had a camera that could take good close ups I'd show you the finish, tis the best part of the entire guitar. I've got a crude recording setup right now, just lemme know when you throw up something. (I'm a blues freak, obey my wishes...just kidding)
