Quote from bishtop :track looks no different on either video compared to LFS apart from ENB or custom shader,

Haven't actively played LFS for years now but start/finish lights are hanging in the air, missing objects at chicane are one of the first things I can easily spot as 'wrong'.

Furthermore, car tires do not flex, something which LFS is famous of. Bodywork doesnt move an inch. Junk.

Or a year, in your case.

Maybe it's the best to close this topic, nothing useful is being discussed anymore. The usual whining has taken over.

LFS is based on times when analog modems where still active (mentioning of 56k modem in host settings). I still have one in a box somewhere but I don't think its being used anymore around the world, maybe something for a museum to put on display but it's more a target for the garbage belt I'm afraid.

It all can use some upgrading to modern times and this costs time. It's fine, no need to ask every month how its going.

What does that video supposed to show? How bad the camerasensor is?

Hah.. Ye, very true. Only the parking garage has lights. Randomized lights (going on and off at long intervals) in the apartment / office blocks? Would be funny.. But.. Not much to do with a racing sim anymore. Difficult.

Quote from MacedoSTI : looks incredible on ac graphics lol

incredible? it looks exactly the same to me. Only the smoke is different and it shows how bad the engine is mapped (unburned fuel in exhaust). Stuff for kids.

Quote from Eclipsed :But like anyone cares in haxxors world

its a port but not really interesting. (not worth to spend juridical attention to it, ports are being made by the community. => private person).

Last time I started AC with some DLCs was years ago. (Yes March 2015, thnx for the recording Steam). Can even see this as marketing for LFS. Fern Bay gets updated soon(tm) anyway Smile

It seems the request is specifically for rallycross.. Hmm okay.

this (below) doesn't meet the criterium of

Quote from Racon :Yeah, an alternate route that just adds a few seconds to a lap. Everyone has to take the joker once, but on any lap. The choice of when to take it brings a little strategy into a very short race.

OK but Fern Bay already has this then.

I needed to search for joker lap, but its an alternative piece of road to skip some part of the track? Whats the goal of this?

Its not possible @LFS because of some roadblocks so its not the same situation

Used for commercial purposes? Smart.

But okay fair enough.

Quote from Eclipsed :SO0 South City Normal for everyday use if that is so improtant for others.

It's being created after Eric looked what cruise servers are doing I guess; placing a gazillion objects on the center of the road to prevent wrong way driving. Nice, but not handy for racing.

Maybe the appearance of these objects can get triggered by the cruise flag. (letter C @lfsworld)

[attachment] I also noticed this gray area, normally this is a section where you would expect an object. A place for pedestrians and or people with bike to pause when crossing the road, but its entirely removed here. Either coincidental or this is really a different mode where some object is removed.

Kinda weird by the way to have lightrail trains scattered around the racing/driving area. Normally they would be parked in a depot during an event but hhmm okay, nitpicking.

Quote from mbutcher :This.

Hmm I do not fully agree. X/Y determines the start/finish direction.

edit: but, hhmm.. On South City its not so important it seems.. Only SF-line is positioned wrong, there are no grid slots and traffic lights work in both directions so can create a custom grid field if you want other direction in the end.. I guess.

Its a bad idea to have it in normal race layouts but also in the open world version it would be bad as it would massively limit the so called open racing layout creativity. But, I do not want to jump to any conclusions at this point. First patch-test release the whole stuff and see how it goes. Some kind of track loading switch would be nice but we will see. (Same kind of worries drifters had/have earlier @AutoX)

Quote from Flotch : and so not removable ^^ .

sure it is.. Never seen vandals doing their "job"? In minutes its gone. Im pretty sure if some street circuit race is going to be held at Monaco/Vietnam/Singapore/Azerbaijan the same stuff is being done. Its not much work to remove it temporarily for a race.

Quote from SimulatorRental.com :or it will cause the ESC or BACKSPACE button to be pressed on the host screen, pushing the menu or virtual keyboard to pop up on the screen and go away randomly. NO BUTTONS are programed for ESC or BACKSPACE, and it happens when no one is near or touching the keyboard.

Right.. Why you think LFS is causing it, it sounds to me like there is interference. All cabling is digital though?

Install a key logger (deactivate virus scanner if you have one running to begin with, not really needed in a static environment causing only performance issues) and analyse if it are actual keystrokes or not.

Ask Trump, he likes to fk around with trading tariffs. But its mostly a badly tweaked Nissan Navara. Pretty skeptical UK woman; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Nm97mO7e1A .. Enjoy.

Quote from Eclipsed : you Many others no races anymore consisting [teams] they you're YOUR you're they

I summarized your "they vs you" ranting. You obviously show that you have zero understanding about what that link was about. I gave a slight hint in the quote edit. There is no teamracing on anymore, it's all about individualism so it's very wrong to talk about "they" because there is no they.. Just a bunch of unorganized "you's". And thats exactly whats going on in today's society. Facebook, Twitter, Insta, all that other crap.. Just a big bunch of "you's".

All these type of threads look back at a "we"-history and that is what is correct, it's history. Enjoy the bunch of you's.

I joined this morning and I got a general idea what you are on about. Thats why the update delay on servers like [TC] citydriving is longer of course..

I think we are years away before these kind of requests will be honored so don't hold your breath

Quote from iceman121 : too little?

Depends on the level of efficiency. 27 buttons a second per player sounds pretty extreme to me. Are you sending/deleting/sending buttons all the time? This is not how it should be done, only updates should be send. And there is also the global button (send to all connections).

Quote from Bose321 :I've heard that the Index is sold out in a few parts of the world because of the new HL game. Seems like there are one or two people that are willing to spend money to sit with a stupid helmet on their head, who would've thought. Smile

The what? Oh this is that thing with towers what Scawen has. Yes, uninteresting. Well you know the difference between buying and using? If something is "sold out" it doesn't say anything about if it's actually being used. A lot of people are like that German guy is doing on his Youtube channel. Buying everything and put it on a shelf for display, wauw, thats useful.

Quote from just2fast :The funny thing is in most of the games you don´t even sit but stand/move Smile

and be in your own isolated world yes, not a good direction for the world to head to

Quote from Bose321 :Call it whatever you want,

No I do no want to be called anything. Especially the Dutch population are world champions in doing that.

I ask a question about how its going with the whole VR situation. Are there any significant developments, the answer is no.. And I even had to answer my own question. Typical.

Quote from Bose321 :Are you serious? Do you have any idea what kind of R&D is going into this? Any idea what the hardware costs? Also did you know it's not meant for consumers right now?

yes, something to do for some people I dont see the problem, doesnt matter, no but thanks for pointing that out. Still not the best method to promote a new product.

Quote from Bose321 : I don't see why you're so negative about it.

criticizing != negative

But to get back on topic, nothing to expect from Microsoft then. Anything else, or is this all?
