Nice child pictures but you didn't answer my question. But I already know the answer so never mind, you are not allowed to do that from your institute. Forget about that, sorry
I don't know about the current Win10 upgrade rules. They said that if you pretend to have a handicap (like activate the visual assistance, magnifying glass, high contrast option) that you are still allowed to update but if this trick still applies I don't know.
This is a cheap office notebook, not meant for gaming. And if I take a look at the German reviews then it even fails at office work. I am sorry to say but by the looks of it, its a fail product from Lenovo, should not waste all this money on it.
This laptop has no GPU. It has a CPU with basic integrated GPU functions (Intel® HD Graphics 4000). Theoretically the CPU can be faulty but I doubt that, Intel CPU's are of very good quality, have thermal protection and some other protections to prevent getting destroyed.
But to not let you end in misery I strongly suggest to follow Abone's advice and upgrade to Win10. Win8 has too many performance instabilities (mainly due to sloppy drivers). Some Win8 users are lucky, some not.
Maybe it fixes some of your issues, possibly even everything.
So, it has something to do with fullscreen/windowed mode and/or alt-tab if I understand it correctly. (Or, " Devices can also be lost due to a power management event, ")
I'd rather go for the 60 thing at this point. But to get back on this topic;
Why not at least mention on which USB port a device is found? It would be really silly if these ID's also change during a restart.
Example: G920 on USB1, G920 on USB2 etc.. How is this arranged in this system? A normal system doesnt have many USB ports to begin with, how many USB ports do you use anyway? 4 ports for wheels and 4 ports for audio? I have read in another topic of yours that you have force feedback problems on the wheels, how are you sure that your USB controllers are properly setup?
Yes, with a lot of flowers. Or kaleidoscopes.. Last year I did a weekend with Ayahuasca with the team leader of Genuine racing.. It was amazing. But.. In the end, it didn't make much of a difference. Still need to try the mushrooms though.
What is it with this walking up thing of yours? They can do whatever they want to do or not do. I am only saying to the people here, that based on a ten year history and a drastically changed lifestyle not much is going to happen in the upcoming ten years. If.. And that is what happens a lot these days, people compare it to other sim titles (-the best example-); Assetto Corsa. It has a massive amount of tracks and a massive amount of cars but this was only possible after some very serious shift in thinking of the main developer of the more then dead racing sim Netkar.
Now, team Scavier can do whatever they want to do but if at one day these tyre physics get released then I can bet that it would take another 15 years (minimum) before some user generated sharing system would be released. It's just keeping this false hope, aaaaaaaaaallll those years, that something serious is going to happen [which is bugging me a little].. It is just not going to happen, not possible in this team setup.
Disagree with who? Disrespect? You are making too many things up. It has nothing to do with respect blabla, I am talking about expectations of people here... And the seamingly endless thoughts like, "something serious is going to happen soon".. No.. It's not. Wake up. LFS is a nice niece old little racing sim but it will stay like that for at least another ten years. Why? Because of the alternative workflow. I am not criticizing that, I am just telling what the consequences are.
And lets be honest, if AC would have the same netcode and InSim system like LFS then everybody already would have forgotten about LFS. I foresee that somebody creates something like that earlier then that LFS has a user generated sharing system. So you can link and quote various developer talk but in the end it is not happening in a reasonable time span. Lets quote the breakable wings for example, how many years ago is this?
All these talks about development plans, its fine.. But as reader (fanboy/fangirl) you need to put it in a time perspective and have to conclude it are mostly dreams.
Nah, nothing to do with team Scavier, more the persons discussing this.. I can not understand how people can talk for decades.. Not even years.. Decades.. About something which is not going to happen. Yes maybe at some point this dreaded tyre physics gets released in some sort of simplified form and yes there will be some track updates of fantasy tracks.. But.. That.. Will be about it. LFS is a hobby project, some hours are spend on it on a weekly basis.. Sometimes.. Sometimes some month(s) nothing happens at all.... It is no serious development cycle, so how in the world people can discuss week by week, year by year... Stuff like; "oh yes and this and this is going to happen", "and then this car and track"... Come on, can people get realistic for once in their life?!
Right, hhmm.. Well, it is possible to map positions on the client side. With usernames/tags its even possible to filter only on "cops". If somebody is really into this cruising thing I guess he/she can program something like that, but its quite some work.
And, although it is possible in real life to do this... It's called tetra scanner / tetra scanning .. In real practice it doesn't work that good.
Third, if an admin finds out that you are using some technology what basically can be called cheating, you can risk a ban.
Police mobile communication is all digital nowadays and encrypted, at least in my country and the UK. So, it's not really real life anymore.
Set aside that, it is possible to program a client side insim program to send a LFS location but I do not understand the point of it. The server already knows where everybody is.
Ye. I like to add that every community has this. Although this community is extra special because so big mix of cultures, continents(!), languages and interests. Also because drift, cruise and race are not the same type of peoples.
And who put in your mind that advertisement actually works?
This website (and forum) got beefed up after I made some critical comments since the last kart UK meet. Not much more can be done. Other then joining Steam, but if you've read that topic then you know whats needed for that.
By the why.. Advertisement can actually backfire. Did you thought of that? If the major public starts to bad mouth your product then you die.
The best advertisement is patches. More specific; timed updates. People on the internet work like a clock, if they know something is coming, they return. But only when the schedule is known. Not this vague release of work every now and then. (Mostly then).
