Lazy? Seriously? You are going to say that? Let me clear my eyes. Yes, its seriously written by you. What a retarded insult is this.
First of all, its barely three pages. How do you react when you see a book?
Lazy. Posting a propaganda Hollywood video of Schwarzenegger, thats what I call truely lazy. This is insane and hilarious at the same time too. Now I know for sure that any time on LFS would be a total waste, thanks for this great comment.
My last sentence is not really cryptic. Ukraine is not a football club where everyone is of the same team. Ukraine is recently formed but its a mixture of Kiev(Rus)-Polish-Lithuanian-Greek and some small other 'nationalities'. It's being approached by the mass as it has one culture, like its one centuries old nation. Its not. Wake up. Read more, watch less propaganda videos. Realize its bigger then Great Britain where you even have your little old conflicts with Northern Ireland and the Scottish do not team up that well also lately. Try to see a broader perspective.
I wonder if you can detect the Schwarzenegger propaganda at all. Do you really think that video was made for the Russians? Lol. Its for the silly naive American. Meanwhile driving around in his eco car in a state which was totally made bankrupt. (its the one on the top, to be clear).
Seen a s.load of video's by now which genuinely cannot be verified but most video's from Patrick Lancaster look real. Or there are all of a sudden a whole pack of top of the bill actors discovered.
What is with this talking about Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine all the time? What actually is "Ukraine?". One nation you think? How was it formed? Its only three times bigger then Great Britain.
wrong again, I am just telling some personal experience. You are the one making assumptions out of it.
And this is the key element in this topic, assumptions. Stop making them and you get somewhere. This is leading to nowhere.
This for example;
Assumption. All based on this corrupt city mayor. If you cannot see that there is a constant stream of lies coming from that area its better to turn off this stream of information and focus on your own work expertise (whatever that may be) instead of starting to chant all kind of weird stuff which has nothing to do with your own culture.
I was there myself exactly a year ago, driving through complete Ukraine with my own car. Experienced sadly enough enough "atmosphere". Especially in the south and quite weird in the northeast. I don't know what happened in the Chernihiv area (historically speaking) but its not 'normal' how people interact there. I wouldn't trust some people from the Ukraine, let alone call it family (idiotic prime minister said this). It's quite ridicilous that a majority of western people are all of a sudden pro Ukraine while most didn't know where it was located in the years before. Let alone know anything of the culture, history and especially what happened from 2014 onwards.
Hmm OK.. I finally would like to know where this appalling lighting (?) is coming from because every time I get confronted with LFS this disturbance also shows up reminding me to stay away from LFS.. Its especially being seen on the track decorations but also on the road surface
what setting do I need to change? It alrready shows up when I am standing still and turning the steering wheel.
This only happens @LFS ... When I am for example moving/looking around @CS.GO everything is fine.
But the video shows small GTR style cars on gravel. Selection of tires @LFS is ranging from 165-215 already? Rallycross in the big GTR class is a funny bonus but not a real life situation or am I missing a competition?
not trying to delay this patch release but I am wondering if this feature could fairly easily be extended by showing GPU load percentage as well? I am not into C++ programming at all but there is something called D3DKMT_QUERYSTATISTICS_PROCESS_NODE being used in for example a tool called "process hacker" ( https://github.com/processhacker/processhacker/blob/master/plugins/ExtendedTools/gpumon.c )
seems to work pretty reliable. The reason I ask this is, is that it maybe also helps debugging any performance problems in development during the other ongoing bigger patch development?
What about a keyboard shortcut to toggle this debug overlay? Maybe I put too much importance in this feature but I am quite convinced it helps people to improve their driving experience.
I knew about this MIPS setting already, I just find it odd that if I switch from GPU on the same machine, keeping the same LFS settings... The "superior" Nvidia outputs a worse image while the device driver has everything for LFS being set on "application controlled". This shimmering has no relation to this patch, although its an high annoyance, it's always been there throughout the years. I expect the upcoming big update has some positive effect on this as well.
I was just surprised to see how busy the CPU is with "Draw" in case a GPU is used which cannot cope with the demand and this gets totally "fixed" when switching to a better performing GPU. Or further limiting (100->60) the FPS what I've just learned. I was assuming graphics chips by default almost offloads any CPU of everything related to graphics but apparently you can still overload the CPU as ignorant computer user with incorrect graphics settings. Only thing I know from other games/sims is that FXAA is done by CPU. But LFS doesnt have a FXAA setting.
Hmm it was capped on 100 fps (to be in sync with physics) a value which couldnt be reached with the on-board GPU in openX mode (non open layout is probably a different story). Interestingly CPU usage(/Draw) massively drops if I set it on 60 fps. So, if I understand correctly the CPU gets overloaded if the system gets a request for a FPS value which it can never achieve. I wonder if this situation can be automatically detected and can produce a warning as only a few people are being busy with this CPU/GPU nerding
well.. this building is heated by electricity so this doesnt really make much of a difference. Need to wait some weeks before sun starts to do its work but I do get the point.
One thing to still figure out is why there is still so much "shimmering" going on (barriers), even flickering textures.. In external GPU mode. I only now noticing the internal GPU producing a much smoother image. But this is patch unrelated.
This small little CPU debug thing is very helpful in understanding hardware/configuration limits, liking it!
Hhmm this feature is misleading when you have a CPU with on-chip GPU combination. (i7-6820HQ HD 530 - Nvidia M3000M combo)
"Draw" reports 90 (percent I guess) CPU usage while it is actually the GPU part doing its job. If I switch to the external GPU chip, "Draw" drops to 12 and "sleep" takes over with 70-80.
This misleading display of "CPU" usage cannot be changed I guess? Its not such a big deal if you know whats really going on but if it can be easily altered then take this into consideration.
edit: actually I hope its the GPU part otherwise I get the feeling there is seriously something wrong with LFS performance. Its mostly the full scene AA causing this by the way.
This delay is a security measurement as packets from a previous session can still be alive.
I do not think it is good practice to just ignore this and reinstate a fresh session on the same port and accept any TCP packet which is still out there.
Can be, it actually would improve the situation as it was always confusing on South City layouts.
But what if it gets removed but it can be replaced by ... Lets say.. Invisible movable layout objects, so sections can be marked to the own desire of the layout creator / InSim manager?
Would probably lead to the request of a higher amount of maximum layout objects but that has always been the case anyhow.
It is, censorship leads to unofficial ways of playing or no playing at all because 'leadership' gets very unreliable. If a comment doesn't fit in, it could be moved, agreed. But censoring is an extremely bad idea.
Above all, this lockdown nonsense is not offtopic its very much ontopic
censoring is not related to communism, look for example at your neighbor country (Turkey). Censorship is just what it is, aggressively controlling your own point of view no matter what. I think these lockdowns are total b&.sht and only one specific group of people are highly benefiting from it in the long run.. Which is not LFS.
But there is no place for such a discussion on this forum apparently. Can only talk about some internal sim update about every six months, very dynamic!
I don't visit this very often anymore but the right to defend yourself is a basic law which you can find in countries which has gone trough basic civil development.
And with such false and very wrong allegations it's very much needed. Especially with a corrupt judging system.
Pulling the racist card is very much 2005 anyway, very lame. Especially against someone which ran a global server for years with tens of thousands visitors. Beyond stupid.
Pretty much! It exposes the future of LFS. If a main developer shows its real face. Quite a disgrace.
