The online racing simulator
Quote from kiss me :they make you lose races etc..

No. Crashing in the first place makes you lose races. In a normal race the barriers are a non-issue.

Furthermore you seem to be assuming that any "bug" can be fixed with the same amount of work put into it. That's wrong. Seriously wrong. Collision detection is hard and takes a lot of time to get right. That's why the smaller things that can be fixed easily get priority over it.
i keep getting joos-car whenever i try to join certain servers how can i fix it?
Quote from chavm481 :i would love cruise sontrol even though id not really use it, but pace cars can.

Cruise control is easy, just set 2nd gear(or any one really) to max out at your intended speed. Boom, cruise control.
Quote from kiss me :there is 1 thing i dont get,
scavier keeps improving the game, implenting new cars etc...
but they just don't fix bugs that have been in the game for many releases.
i'm talking about the barriers...
they make u go places people have never been before...
they make you lose races etc..
when will they be fixed??
they really mess up the game

greetings,

I think the community would go wild if they would spend all their time on fixing these 'old' bugs. This community has no patience. My guess is that they are working on stuff like that in the 'background'. I think it's nice the devs try to deliver good new content now and then, I really understand how much work things like a the new Scirocco are. I guess the barriers bugs and such will be fixed when there isn't a 'we need something new!!' thread for a few weeks, meaning 'everybody' is happy with the state the game is in. Who knows, maybe we will experience something like that when the Scirocco is out?
i know..
new features are nice, but old bugs prevent you from fully enjoying the new features...
instead of making new interiors for ex. they can make people vote for custom interiors and choose those.. the community's makes nice interiors, and instead of spending time making them self, scavier can use that time to fix old bugs
i know its easy for me to say, since i dont have to do any of the programming.. but still

greetings,
I seem to be missing a language pack i had Z9 worked now Z10 wont work?

Don't bother, it's a common problem :P. Those very small holes between the tire and the rim is a known(propably) bug and I assume it will be repaired when FXO body will be updated .

Not a problem! And reported a lot of times since first patch, including in this very thread.

Please, stop talking about this.
Quote from bbman :He's not talking about the missing brake discs, but the little holes that appear between the rim and the tyre when you activate anti-aliasing...

Sorry then
Every time I see a screenshot of this custom view "wheels without body" on a test patch thread I go crazy
Now I've noticed this in the game too. I've never seen it before. It happens with antialiasing on and off too. Only seen it in FXO.
Sorry again.
Just tested Z10, on VISTA ultimate service pack 2. 64 bit operating system with amd athlon 64 x2 4400+, 2 GB RAM, geforce 8600 GTS.

Everything looks okay.

ABS works. But i never tested in real car with ABS, when you drive in reverse and you hit your brakes fully, front wheels of car locks up or not?

In LFS with ABS ON when i drive in reverse and hit brake pedal to metal front wheels locks up.

We got a lot of snow here, i think i'll test how ABS works when i drive in reverse and hit brakes, tommorow

Never had it before Z10

O.o... Z10 didn't change anything with FXO so it should be a problem from the beginning... maybe O.o
As someone mentioned a few days ago, this is a pretty bullet-proof test patch, as i cannot break it, nothing goes wrong etc.. It is spot on!

+1.....same here, no problems, glitches etc. found on two systems

patch is no more online compatible, cant connect to servers with older version.
ye tried to connect with Z9 but then installed Z10, works.
anyway hope to drive that scirocco soon

This is intentional, to minimise the amount of bug reports coming from an old test patch. Using anything but the newest patch and posting here is a complete waste of (Scawen's) time
LFS has freezed a couple of times when I used ALT+Tab or win button to go to windows, and then back to lfs. Had to boot by pressing reset button, because anything else didn't work...

It has never done that with older patches.

Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
Intel 9550
Ati 4870x2
and ctrl + alt + del didnt work??
i had that to a couple times.
You shouldn't use alt+tab. Use shift+f4 to make LFS windowed instead.
Using alt+tab with games is just a bag of hurt and should be avoided.
