on topic - i saw Toy Story 3 over the weekend because i loved it as kid. i thought it was great.

let me post some after effects of taking marijuana in large doses:

- you will get hooked
- you will have mental problems, such as memory loss, loss of focus / concentration, depression, and schizophrenia.
- you will have a shorter, harder life
- anxiety, paranoia

and also, take this into consideration - making a drug legal in drug addicted countries is like giving terrorists bombs. you're asking for trouble. there are all kinds of abusers, and smugglers out there that would take advantage of all this. sure, there are people who will use this drug wisely, but there are more people who won't.

schizophrenia - the illness where you have voices in your head telling you to do things. bad ones being taking illigal drugs, robbing, killing others and suicide

physics and damage modeling are what i think would be the hardest elements of a game to program, and LFS has both. what the devs are doing is hard work, and i don't think they deserve to be yelled at for it. that's like yelling at an average elementary student for not fully explaining the theory of relativity fast enough.

note - i had no idea where to put this thread, so if it is in the wrong place i am sorry!

i have a bad system, so i decrease screen resolution to reduce lag. it works, but LFS is in the correct resolution but not stretched to fit the entire screen. basically, if a set it to 800X600, LFS is a 800X600 square surrounded by black. this bugs the hell out of me. it lags less, but a have to squint just to see what gear i am on, and by then i am off the track, more than likely about to crash into an AI driver. i was hoping that some of you would know how to fix this problem. i use vista if that helps at all.

EDIT - this happens with other games too, not just LFS. that's why i didn't post it in the "Bugs" section

in my mind, LFS is not dead. it's in hibernation, like some people have already said. i just don't really play it anymore. i just moved along and found something else, which clearly appears to be something this forum cannot do. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, PLAY SOMETHING ELSE! DON'T WHINE ON ABOUT IT!

EDIT: lots of forum members probably have switched to another game, in which case ignore my comment. but many posts in here could have been avoided easily.

sweet. nice to have a layout dedicated to my personal favorite car.

i have noticed something. hacking is too easy in LFS. not as easy as some games, but still. all you need is the right program, a few commands, and you can get your car up to 300 MPH! i think LFS should be more secure, it shouldn't be able to let other programs get into its guts so easily (yes, i am talking about tweak). still, people will find out, but at least only the best Hex editors will be able to hack LFS, and i don't think there are too much of them on here.

EDIT: example - in about two minutes, using a cheat-o-matic, i can accurately recreate NOSmod and use it online you know, handbraking for speed?

i've noticed that compared to real life cars, LFS cars are made of platinum! i was racing in AS4 and i crashed into a wall in the huge straight, going 201 mph. the car looked like it had hit the wall at 50! i was even able to drive away afterwords! I'm not suggesting a new damage model altogether, but a modification to the current one. maybe slower impacts could induce more damage on the car.

• stop abusing LFS with a cheat-o-matic (it's a bad habit)
  
• calm down on the hotwheels collection (i can't stop. seriously)
  
• boost them grades (all A's, i hope. it'll do good for college)
  
• set, or come at least 0.5 seconds within a world record (must i say more?)
  
• become less of a kid in a teen's body (as you have clearly read.)
  

it would be really nice to have a long road like that. it would be revolutionary for all the cruise servers out there.

EDIT: all those demo carpark crash people would also have fun crashing each other off the edges!
