The online racing simulator
Yep, gtr has no center diff. It gets 2% front torque split, and then the 'computer' is changing the amount of power on the wheels according to spin detection or something similar. Looks like older WRC car with lots of electronics managing very wisely the torque split ... everything at a rate of ms ...
More, there is no lsd at the front if I am correct, it is the famous electrical differential : electronic is applying brake on the spinning wheel. Same for awd Lambo, but there the cars have a 'mechanical' central differential.
Quote from ACCAkut :which car does currently use EDL?

The z4 road going version has it. Probably one/some of the latée as well.

It's crap compared to real WRC drivelines.

Old AWD Lambos have viscous center couplers. New ones (Aventador and later IIRC) have active clutch pack couplers. Either way there's no center diff, just like GT-R.
ah ... bad cars ... Big grin Thought it was something more elaborated/rustic (depends of the pov), even if obviously the goal of Lamborghini is not to make a subaru impreza with more hp Big grin
I did a steam verification thing, and forgot to change the "max_frame_latency" to 1, but, either it was all placebo before, or it's no longer needed to be at 1? It felt amazing, no lag, dare i say it was even better at 0..
Woo it's downloading

wohoo just started here

first task: decrypt Alfa physics to make Turbinchen AWD Big grin
downloading ... over 2 hours left ...
Kunos changed the ACD encryption, was to be expected Wink
A couple of minutes and I can play the dream pack Smile
Do some validation first!
LFS at AC running nordschleife touri with dlc cars. You guess the password!
Doing some testing, ~1h has gone bay, didn't touch the DLC content jet
How much more FPS you guys are getting?
I'd say not much more than ~+10

Try a full AI grid with smoke turned on. My fps almost doubled.
Yeah my fps has risen a bit, I seem to be able to handle reflections better, and I'm glad they fixed the smoke!
Laser scanned Nordschleife isn't exactly life-changing. Other versions are just as much fun, even if not nerdtastically accurate.

I think the "weather" effects added recently are quite pathetic. They're not going to do rain and night (because they didn't think of those things when they made the engine (apparently), which is just laughable in itself tbh) so they do dull and foggy and call it weather, as if that somehow is equivalent. The fog looks pretty crappy too, I think.

The old Alfa is okay, the F1 GTR is quite good. Online still sucks, apparently.

Overall, £7 is a fair price. AC is still not brilliant.
I think I have a new favourite combination.

190E Evo DTM on the Nordschleife. 7:45 is my best time up to now, but I guess that time is crap Big grin
- 190E has awful interior sounds, but is a fun car.
- 155 required significant setup changes for it be fun, but that it is.
- GTA is a rather dramatic car to watch from external cameras, the suspension appears to be made entirely out of marshmallows.
- 4C's alright.
- M235i is probably the easiest racing car to drive, in the history of ever. It's a car that immediately made me think "I could easily do 24h in this."
- GT-R is a great GT3.
- Didn't like the 'Vette at all.
- P1, F1 and C9 are all seriously quick, but not my type of cars.

Solo hotlapping I get a consistent 62.5 FPS (limited), but online I was hurting at times even when there weren't other cars visible Frown.
Why does the menu map show the Südschleife? Is there any way to access it?
Got a 6:06.1 on Nordschleife Tourist in the P1. Seriously quick car...
What the hell happened with the sounds.. have i double clicked on rFactor icon??
Quote from Oliver Feistkorn :Why does the menu map show the Südschleife? Is there any way to access it?

Because kunos does what kunos does. And no. They can`t even get the GP track done properly (what with all the badly done trackside objects and the totally unrealistic KS/AC banners and flags every 2 seconds around the length of the circuit), how the hell would they ever get the long gone sudchleife made? :P
This car is too good
