Quote from dadge :when i saw him getting shot on CSI, i contemplated getting a celebration wank. in fact, i was thinking that i could break the 8ww.

My 850w power supply unit couldn't handle the joy of watching Bieber die.
Hahaha! Why would anybody want to look like him? Most 12 year olds look older than him! And his music is so crap only 10 year old girls who are pretending to be grown women would listen to them.

Everyone thinks he's a good singer because "he showed that anyone talented on YouTube could become a 'star'!"
Suck me, dammit. (to Rustin Heiber)

To be fair, a lot of scouts are using YouTube now. A couple of years back a lassy on YouTube was offered a job by the BBC because they liked her work. She was only 17/18.
thats great that scouts get talent from youtube. Before, an underage up-and-comer had to sign with Disney in order to make it at all. Then Disney screwed them for about 15 years before they could get out of those contracts. Hence the term "Disney Slave"

Now post some damn cars already.
i will once i install angel eyes. got them today finally..
Back on topic? Just bought my first car

(Can't get a better picture atm, too dark)

"dukes of hazard exiting will be promoted in this garage"
Hopefully you won't bump into a bollard while parking because they are so unsafe that they will crumple up, and you will be killed.
Way to be on topic you goons

Tower strut bar and rear motor mount were installed last weekend. Can't feel strut yet, but it's because I'm still on stock suspension, but the piece itself is gorgeous!
Rear motor mount is ABSOLUTELY amazing; car shakes like mad at start and around 1800 rpms, but shifts are super smooth, car just feels way more solid.

Coilovers and angel eyes this weekend WOOT!

Chav.
A few more pics...

New spoiler:

Kinda sad that young male motorists from the UK are forced to buy cars like this because the insurance prices are so stupid.

"Cars like this" :sorry:

Meh well it's my first car so I'm not gonna buy something which stupidly overpowered for an inexperienced driver

I like it anyway

It's understandable that is all you were able to get financially, but if there was a 3series BMW, or A4, I know I'd take it over a 106 every time.
Tomorrow is the day where the resurrection commences, the roadster (oh ok, mx-5) goes off to get mended, its gonna take a few weeks, if not a coupla months as its going to be done by my cousins husband at his place of work (a garage) when they are quiet, so bits and bobs will be done and more progress will be made as and when he has a gap to get some stuff done, the new clutch is with the car, new springs (-40mm ones) are in the post and will be dropped off to him once they arrive, new wheels are fitted already, well, 2nd hand alloys, but new to the car, and although the tyres are far from good, they are just about MOT passable so the little eunos should come back running and tested in the not so distant future! :woohoo:

If I can afford to insure a Mk 5 Golf diesel (bearing in mind I passed my test last November, and the insurance companies don't want to know that I've been riding a bike for 2 years) then why stick to a crummy Pug 106? Ok, there's a big difference to the purchase price but the running costs are probably about equal - Any increase in prices in parts is negated by the fact VW's are more reliable and the economy is pretty good as well. You'd also get more for your money when you come to upgrade your vehicle..

It's a false economy, buying really shitty first cars. Simply because you can get bigger/nicer cars, for similar money, which are cheaper (or no more expensive) to insure. If you have a nicer car you're also more likely to look after it, and drive more sensibly.

Because all young drivers buy Saxos, Corsas, 106's etc, they are pasted by insurance companies and even if they are in the same insurance group as, for example, a Lexus, both worth the same, the Saxo/Corsa/106 will be MORE to insure.

PS Loving the new mods to the Mazda, and also Jack's spoiler looking swag
But the Golf probably cost 4 times as much as the 106 Jamie, not everyone can afford to spend £1000s on their first car.

Anyway I would definitely start off in a cheap car, then it doesn't matter so much if/when you crash it (assuming its just into a ditch and not into somebody else).
Why are you guys always "assuming" you will crash your first car...
People dont see the loopholes...

Im about to buy an '83 (Old Y reg?) Triumph Acclaim. Sure its not every 18 year olds dream car, but its a 1.3 5 door and its pretty roomy!

The Escort Ghia before that was better in terms of spec but I broke it

Both cars, on Third Party Fire & Theft, were £860 each to insure. Thats in a medium rated crime area, parked on a drive overnight, 0 No claims & 6000 miles per year.

Cars only cost me 600 quid each too!
I got a luxo barge for a first car as it cost as much to insure as a Corsa. Never crashed it. Some tart hit me with her shopping trolley at ASDA though, which was the only mark on it the whole time I owned it.

I've never crashed a car... a lot of young drivers do though, just statistics.
