G25 problems

I have had my G25 for aroundsix months now, and the shifter is starting to do strange things. If i shift into 2nd gear, and let go of the shifter then accelerate, and take my foot off the gas, it usually drops into 4th gear in lfs. When i pull the shifter up a tiny bit, still in the second gear, it will go to fourth. Its like the shifter cant stay into 2nd gear. Anyone else having these problems? Think i should get an RMA? Can i take it apart and fix it? I hate having to pull the shifter back all the way in 2nd when driving.

if someone's ride gets destroyed as badly as that one, i'd say chances are they were racing.

If anyone can guess what it is from that pic, they should win the car! Can we have something a little more helpful?

Weekend in hospital, $500.
No evidence of alcohol at crash, PRICELESS!"

The biggest problem with that, is its from simbin. And they always use starforce on their games. I hate Starforce! I have too many problems with the starforce drivers to even talk about. I must say, it looks good though!

LFS really do need more/better smoke. If someone goes off the track on the grass/dirt, a tiny bit of smoke is made. IRL, a hugh amount of smoke is made, and the people behind you have to drive through it, making it an obstacle. In lfs, the smoke dissapears too quickly. 2 seconds after, and there is no smoke. I hope there is better smoke in the next patch.

Hmm, I'm afraid he fled in embarassement.

He has nothing to be ashamed about... This thread has over 80 posts, and most of them are completely irrevelant, I ask you, who should be embarrased?

I suppose this is the right place for this. I have now moved back to my parents house for the summer. I cant get internet on my gameing machine because of its location. We have a wireless network setup, but my computer has not wireless card/adapter. I do have my laptop. Is there anyway i can use my laptop as a wireless adapter for my gaming machine? Or will i have to buy a wireless card, ect?

Maybe when the devs are completely finished. S3 is years old, just before lfs goes open source (I wish)

Erik does have to wait for an incompatible patch to release anything. And if he did release anything every 3 months or so, the whole community would be pissed! All the hotlaps and everything getting erased EVERYTIME he released something? Once a year is fine, Thanks.

Quote from boosterfire :Try the same thing with no image?

The people who play lfs always bash the sounds, but i think they are great. The sounds are so responsive, they let you know every little thing you car is doing. Sound is just as important to this game as the graphics or physics. And we have seen MAJOR updates to the sounds in lfs. Be thankful! If the devs stopped development right now, the game would be worth the money you pay for it. Know of any onther games (not just racing) with a community like lfs? The devs are so close with the players, we actully get what we want in the games.

IMO sound is one of the most important things in lfs. Try to race a 3 lap race with any car, on any track with no sound. You feel no immersion into the game, its extremely hard. I cant do it.

How many threads are going to be made about this? I think there should be a sticky about it. I dont think lfs is ready for this yet. There are many things that have to be done with the actual shifting, clutch, and god only knows what else first. Im willing to bet, Scavier alread has this done, in some magical version of lfs any of us would sell our first born for. But the version we have is not ready for it.

To implement this right now is useless, and extremely difficult. Anyone who has an H-gated shifter will tell you there needs to be a lot of work done to the way you shift in lfs. Putting the shifter in a gear and not pressing the clutch would be problematic now, in the game the gear does not change until you press the clutch, if autoclutch is disabled. What will the driver in the game do then? Too early for this imo, it could be done, but not yet.

I once wondered why there is no gtr from the lx class. They are the most destinctive cars in the game. I think it is because the other gtr cars wouldnt stand a chance. With 190 hp, the lx6 still blows most of the other cars out of the water.

You should be able to change certain things, tire pressure, ect. Just the easy, quick basic stuff that can be changed in RL.
Sending some one to the pits? [now answered]

How do you send some one to pits using insim? Like in the caribean cruise servers when you try to "steal a car"? Or is this done on the dedi server?

EDIT: found what i was looking for... im an idiot, nevermind.
