Unfortunately this method assumes the driver is intentionally trying to take a shortcut, but what if someone hits me and forces me in the direction of the shortcut? Then my race is over? How is that fair?

I appreciate the effort to close the shortcuts, but I don't think clean racers will appreciate being forced to spectate because of an accident. Can't you guys just release a small patch with some extra barriers in the way of the shortcuts? I think that would be a more elegant solution to the problem.

I tried playing Red Alert 1 a long time ago and I couldn't do it, the graphics were just so bad. Red Alert 2 on the other hand is an excellent game, I loved it so much. I'm looking forward to Red Alert 3.

What are the specs on your computer? It's normal for an older computer to get around 50 fps, and there's not much you can do about it I'm afraid. If you have a new computer and you're getting 50 fps then I would be worried.

Lowering the size of your textures will not make a noticeable difference. However, to improve performance, go in the LFS -> Options -> Graphics menu and put all the options to their lowest values. Also, go in the control panel for your video card and under the 3D section set all options to their lowest value. Hope this helps.

First of all, ignore anything chavm481 says, his posts never add any relevant information to threads.

Second, to the op and devs, there is a contradiction between what it says on the page in John's screenshot, and what it says if you press "details". If you press "details" then it says the track is BL GP and the guy in 1st place was driving a UF1. But on the main page it says FE rallygreen.

I'm thinking that maybe the server switched tracks from BL to FE when John was on the server, thus putting it in S2 mode from demo mode. John was probably kicked from the server during this process, but LFSW still recorded the result. Problem is, both tracks were recorded, in two different places! This "race" should be ignored by LFSW.

This is my guess, correct me if I'm wrong.

Cool I'm looking forward to driving this car in LFS. My friend has a new VW GTI, I drove it a couple of times and the thing is a monster (compared to my Corolla!). It has a turbo, but it doesn't come with a boost gauge. It's nice though, and it has 6 gears with close ratios (at least it felt that way to me), which is sportier than the 5 gears most cars have. The VW Scirocco looks to be a similar car, similar turbocharged engine, similar (slightly bigger actually) body. Looking forward to the next patch...

I have a G15 myself (V2) and it's pretty neat. The best feature is that the keys light up so I don't have to turn on the light to see what I'm typing. Jack you should try the "Live for G15" program, I think it's in the Unofficial addons section.

I agree with you RS1T, I hate seeing useless remarks made towards cruisers or drifters. This negative attitude has to stop. Drifters have been here ever since LFS 0.1 was released over 5 years ago. Cruisers have appeared more recently, ever since InSim got that major update, but they are also here to stay. As for future updates, I don't think cruisers and drifters have much to ask for, cruisers don't care for physics updates (they only want the red-white barrier bug fixed already dammit!!!), and drifters only want R3 tires on the XRT (which they'll never get). That's about it, so I don't see why any mod would get so worked up about these groups asking for improvements.

Cruisers and drifters are here to stay and I will personally flame the next person who insults them as I too enjoy a good cruise every once in a while.

Phelps will definately retire after this olympics. He will win all the gold medals he can, he will get all the cash bonuses (millions of $), he will be in countless commercials (more $), and he won't need to swim anymore. He's 23 now, and by the time London comes around he'll be 27. I don't think he will be competitive at that age anymore. Anyone remember Ian Thorpe from Australia? He competed in 2 olympics then retired, and he's only 25.

You have to push the shifter down, then turn the knob from sequential to H-shifter. Then it works perfectly.

I couldn't care less about what demo users do. The longer they use patch x, the more time it will take to get used to the current version, if they ever get S2. Also, why are you complaining? We all know why they want to use the xrt in the first place, so why not let them? If you take that away they will come in here and start whining about it being taken away, and it will be just like when patch Y was released, I really don't wanna see another bunch of threads about the xrt from a bunch of crybabies again. So I say just leave it as it is, and this issue should be left alone once and for all.

Also, in-game aa/af is not a good argument because they can be forced on through your video card's control panel, so the in-game options are for all the noobs who don't know how to do it.

He clearly said they would be on 2 different computers. But anyway, even if they were one 1 computer, would they really wanna share an account? Although, LFS doesn't provide a way for 2 licensed users to play the game by alternating from one user to the other user. You would have to unlock it every time you play, then lock it back again, which would be bad.

Get the RAM, don't even think about power consumption or heat because RAM doesn't use much power or make much heat. Just make sure you get the right memory, because the way you said it you make it seem like any RAM you buy will work. Also, buy from a respected manufacturer like OCZ, Crucial, or Kingston, don't buy the cheap crap.

It would be nice, hopefully it will happen one day.
