They've always cared about graphics (you probably weren't here when they went from S1 to S2 so you don't know about the major graphics improvements at that time), but there have always been more important things to do. Also, I don't think this patch was supposed to have graphical updates, until people started pushing Scawen for them. Anyway, as much as I welcome improvements to the graphics, my computer can't even handle AA, so these new graphics options are useless for me. That's why I'd personally like to see physics improvements rather than graphics improvements. But that's just my opinion.
Unfortunately, it is normal to have a large drop in fps on a mid-range card like the 8600 when you activate AA.

I think it would be great to have a "Points Rank" in LFSW as part of the hotlapping charts. This would be like the nutter rank, but instead of the number of hotlaps contributed, it should say the number of points each person has. This would be a very competitive rank for the fastest people in LFS who are capable of running many WRs. (Points are already given for a top-10 hotlap, 10 points for WR, 9 points for 2nd, 8 points for 3rd, etc).
How about repositioning the exit button under the rest of the buttons in the main menu?

You can use a potentiometer or a variable resistor. But the question is how would you get Windows to recognize these pedals?
Are you sure that's the account name you want, with all those numbers in it? Once you buy a license, you will have to stick with that name. Make sure you like it!

You're right, that would be helpful. I've been racing for a few years and even I still don't know what all the options do.
Please, keep your secret fantasies to yourself! When I raced on demo servers, I was never a crasher, even after I had S2. I like to show demoers that we S2 people have class. That's how I best promoted it.
It means ENGLISH only! We live in a bilingual country (apparently...) so usually products have english AND french instructions. If they don't have both, they say either ENGLISH only or FRENCH only. This only has english. If you think you can live with that, go buy it!
You should know that the 3870x2 is very limited in terms of it's actual capability because of the onboard crossfire bus. Using the latest drivers (catalyst 8.3) many people are reporting that crossfire cannot be enabled for some reason. This is a bug and will be fixed eventually, but it could be a recurring issue over time with that particular board. I'd still get a single-gpu solution to avoid such issues.

Well it's not like the graphics are amazing in LFS, no offense to anyone, but many games have better graphics and yet get higher frame rates. LFS doesn't even have built-in AA or AF. So why would the GPU slow it down if it's not being used to it's full potential?
That's quite a nice system there. Too bad you couldn't get a better video card though. Also, don't worry too much about buying a car, because even if you did, there's no way you could possibly afford the insurance on it.
Don't worry so much. This happens sometimes when their servers have problems. Try again tomorrow. If it doesn't work then, then you have a problem.
Well, on the other hand, LFS has an amazing physics engine, so maybe it's hogging more CPU than it should. Or it could also be that the GPU isn't given enough work to do.

That bloom is horrible, I hope there's an option to turn it off.
