Quote from broken :Stupidest excuse and you're quoting yourself... I think you pretty much said that you're stupid yourself.

Not to mention that you proved it even earlier in the post.

Yes, it's called a confession. He's pointing out that he was stupid.

In the final training lesson with BF1s around one of the long Aston tracks the "pro" BF1 spun out at the final chicane for me every time.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Therefore, Mr.Marques's slot should be given to the 17th position runner of the shootout sessions.

Err, what happens to H.Marques then?

Quote from Flame CZE :It's stated in the 1st post - you can use it as gauges on your second monitor.

Aren't there already gauges on your 1st monitor? I have to agree with Logicalx, it looks nice but I hardly see the point for a duplicate dashboard that's not where you're looking (forward, at your main monitor) and not as familiar as a regular dash like in LFS.

I want to say that most people use cockpit view and have look left/right buttons easily accessable. Like others have said, situational awareness is more than just seeing the other cars, but knowing where they were, are, and probably will end up going.

I use Cockpit view with 90° FOV (never bothered to change from default) and use mirrors often, and look left-right when mirrors aren't enough.

EQ Worry, I have a question reguarding the grid sorting. When does that occur? My guess is that it occurs when the countdown for the restart starts, is this right?

Basically I'm asking because sometimes on IHR some faster cars are put at the back even though they have it sorted by class. I'm wondering if this would be lessened if they had a shorter countdown.

Oh, I thought it was two seperate things, the top pre-qualifier and the top in standings.

Quote from TFalke55 :Hi, I thought of a minor improvement suggestion: Why not guerantee the fastest pre-qualifier a spot in the Top 31/29 grid. This would upgrade the pre-qualifying a little bit. And the No. 1 racer has definately deserved to be in the grid. I mean after 3 days of the session he/she is No 1

Quote from Joe_Keaveney :The top 15 in the championship before each round shall be 'locked-in' - that means they automatically qualify for that round.

This sounds like it covers the 2nd part of your suggestion.

Quote from lopino12 :no ballast. as good as the idea is and as fair as your trying to make the series, no driver can possibly win if he is carrying 42kg of weight on a track where u brake 3 times.

i dunno, thats just how i see it after the last race, it was so difficult to concentrate on your race because i was constantly watching my mirrors defending because id loose 10-15 car lengths down the straight.

Quote from PMD9409 :The ballast idea ain't bad, its just alot at one time. The part I hate about ballast per race is that when you win race 2, you get 42kg then the top 6-10 is reversed and you lose positions plus you get weight added. It's quite unfair IMO.

The way I see it is that some racing series are strictly after seeing who is the fastest driver/team over a racing season, while others focus more on keeping the racing close.

Most leagues are the former, and unless there are actually more than one closely matched entries then it's quite easy for one guy to win by a mile every time.

iTCC is more about the spectral, more about keeping the racing close. It heavily restricts an already easy car to drive, making it even easier to drive, it has 3 sprint races instead of one long race, and it has ballast and reverse grids. No series with success ballast or reverse grids are ever fair, and go against the "may the fastest car win, even if it's a boring race" mantra that is most racing leagues (Schumacher, anyone?).

Like others said, this is what you signed up for, and this is what iTCC is about. PMD did get a kick in the face when he got max ballast and started 10th, but that reverse/ballast stuff kept NickC from winning/podiuming all three races and taking a huge lead in the championship. I feel for Diaz, but it did it's job in regard to NickC (Not that I wanted to see you end up retiring Nick, you deserved a good points haul).

Quote from AcesHigh :seriously?

Yeah. I just tested it using the "limit in-game frame rate" thing and that gauge matches what's in the upper left.

Quote from [d9] :hallo, why i am kicked for swearword by Airio when i say TYPICAL on AA servers?

What was the whole sentence?

Airio can sometimes pick up stuff like "push it"

Quote from Glenn67 :When you can remember the days that you would run into most of the top league runners on public pick up racing servers and you would go to join a server and you'd know 80-90% of the people in it. Oh and yeah clicking like mad on the connect button sometimes for as long as ten minutes to ensure you got into your server of choice

This can happen now, for some of them. I've seen a fair number of MoE guys on Fox Junkies and/or IHR Racing.

Good luck guys. You're one of the faster GTAL teams on the field, so hopefully you can do fairly well in MoE.

I (and I'm sure others are too) am curious, what does this mean for the controversial Martin Brunzel? Is he done with GTAL now that he has a MoE seat?

420 is the Chassis Number, btw.

As Mr. Ellis said, you can see clearly this way.

Edit: Actually, to go one better here's the bit of texture itself for the FBM, FOX and FO8.

Oh that's cool, I had no idea. Thanks.

Edit: Doing that not only zooms in on the telemetry, but also zooms in your LFSW desktop stuff while it's in the background.

For the short tracks/fast cars it's easy enough to make sense of how people are steering/braking/applying throttle. For the long tracks (especially with slower cars) it's an absolute mess of nothing but a jumble of vertical lines.

If we could sort of zoom in (timewise) on the the telemetry in the stuff it would be a lot more useful.

To give an example, it is much easier to see what I did differently at SO3 than it is at AS6. If you could zoom in AS6 to show only 5-10 seconds or even 30 second clips it would be much easier to compare telemetry.

I think XRG @ AS4 would be doable. I'm not all that fast and I'm about .75s off the current WR. That's less difference than I am off XRG @ AS3 which is less turns (and done by azza already).

Quote from dekojester :The half hour is an approximation of the race time. The distances are what is the same...50km. I did a quick look on LFSworld and some wrs, and foudn they were relatively close. But yeah the 30 minutes and 1 hour stuff is just an approximation.

d

Oh OK that makes more sense.

Quote from dekojester :Timetable of Events

This timing of events applies to both the TBO Challenge AND the Road Sport Cup. All times are in GMT

19:00 - Qualifying (20 minutes)
19:20 - Break/Grid Stacking (10 minutes)
19:30 - Sprint Race (30 minutes approx)
19:00 - Break/Grid Stacking (10 minutes)
20:10 - Feature Race (60 minutes approx)

Do you tell us how to timewarp before or after we sign up?

Are the TBOC and RSC sprint races supposed to be the same number of laps? That doesn't seem right if it's supposed to be half an hour for both.
