Quote from Whiskey :I like the idea of F4 and F11 working the same way. Everyone can use his/her prefered 'fullscreen' mode.

The album is not public. Or did you delete it as imgur suggests?

I've changed it, not sure why it was set to secret, but in any case I'll just put the images here.

Both screens set to 1920x, Bezel comp 7%

Left screen 1920x, right 1923x in LFS, Bezel comp 7%

Left screen 1920x, right 1923x in LFS, Bezel comp 0%

@Scawen, do you know what's causing my issue? If not, is there any other information I could give that would be helpful?

Quote from Whiskey :I managed to get this.

Shift+F12, main monitor at 1920px and right at 1216 (desktop resolution), I see that little stripe. Increasing LFS' right screen resolution to 1219px fixes it.

Interesting. My monitors are both 1920x so I increased my right monitor to 1923 and it "fixed" it, but then it put one little bit (1-2 pixels) of the rendered view from my right monitor on my main one.

The only solution to that is to not use bezel correction, which isn't a great solution.

This imgur album shows the three possible settings I can achieve (I believe)

Quote from Whiskey :I don't have that issue. I have the same config, LFS on left screen, which also happens to be a Dell Big grin

Yeah I talked to a few others who don't have the issue, but one guy said it happened the first time, then not after that. For me it keeps happening.

@Scawen, I have one issue with K6.

Two pixels width of screen that should be on my main (left) monitor are showing up on the right monitor.

Quote from nacim :I know that, thanks, it really helps driving but it's not preventing any kind of over-oversteering, the joystick is still used like a wheel (while I'm at 300km/h with BF1, I can turn my joystick full left and the wheels will go full left too, that's not how it should behave with a controller).

I actually mean it more like a oversteering help, so you don't have to be extremely careful with the joystick and treat it like a wheel, so you can use like like a joystick, like any other racing game.
@Scawen : To really see what joystick should behave (because I know I'm not really explaining it correctly, everything is in the feel, hard to describe, and even harder not in my native language), try games like Dirt Rally, Project CARS, Trackmania, or maybe a simple Grand Theft Auto (IV or V). Wink

I think you mean analog stick, not a joystick.

This is a joystick:

Analog stick is what's on your gamepad.

Quote from nacim :To stop horrible oversteering when going full left/right on the joystick. At least add it as an option. I'm trained to use LFS with a controller, but my older brother that plays Dirt Rally and Project CARS found this really unbearable, and I understand it really much. I'm using my older brother as an example, because he's really on the targeted player base for LFS actually, but he's discovering the game so I can give you he's feedback as a new player.

When you say steering help, do you mean smoothing out the inputs so they aren't so jerky, or what? I use Xbox360 controller as well, and maybe in FO8 or LX6 this would help, but maybe not...

Quote from nacim :Nearly every controller now on the market uses XInput. And with XInput you could add some force feedback with controllers, and make a default profile for controller so that new player can enjoy LFS with a controller, just plug and play. Wink

Are you using XBCD drivers? I use those so I have split axis, unfortunately this confuses other games that do use XInput and don't have any way for "other" controllers. I had to do some really funky stuff to get my controller working on both LFS and Rocket League.

@Scawen, XInput support would be really really nice to make it so we don't have to jump through hoops to get controllers working correctly (throttle/brake split axis is really the only major issue, but it is quite major).

Is the race today 90 minutes or 2 hours?

Quote from Gutholz :At that point maybe good to remind about this:

We have not signed up yet because teamname is uncertain, is it possible to rename team?

Pete was able to change our team from "[TC] Racing 1" to "[TC] Racing & Friends" so it's not a problem.

Quote from Gutholz :press shift+ctrl and it changes from screen-names to account-names. (works in lfs and in lfs-remote)

Well, I called some people by their first name when I knew it, so maybe that's what MikiD is talking about. For example I called sermilan "Milan" a few times, and Flame CZE by "Martin".

Quote from Miki D :I watched the entire replay although I took part in the race. good job Smile

The only problem for me was that I do not know who is who. real name / LFS user / nickname Big grin

Yes, I didn't know a lot of the drivers, so I kept the tracker up on my 2nd screen: http://tracker.newdimensionracing.com/archive/lfscart/2016/round0a/

That helped quite a lot.

Quote from Zaabis :I love how streamers always refuse to say my surename Big grin BTW I'm #17 Big grin

Haha, sorry about that. Doing the stream was a spur of the moment thing, so we didn't have time to figure out pronunciation of names we didn't know. We only decided to do it during qualifying.

Quote from bogdani.cojocaru :Oh, I knew that already but I didnt understood why is it 'included' in the game. If you can see the model with CMX loader, doesn't mean its there somewhere? Meh, its irrelevant anyway. Not like we can hack it and drive it Big grin

Haha no, LFS and LFS Viewer are different, so one doesn't affect the other. I think it was just put in LFS Viewer so we could all rush and make skins for it.

It would be nice to get an update to LFS Viewer though, so it has the new shaders for better screenshots.

Quote from Scawen :No, there isn't finished content lying around. There are tracks which are driveable but without the scenery completed, that kind of thing. If you imagine from Eric's point of view, the great thing now is that he can decide to work on a track, big or small, and when it is complete, we can release it. There's no more need to try and complete X tracks and Y cars, then when you are ready to release, realise that the tracks already need updating...

I think one at a time is a better way to do it, in such a small team, with the required level of detail being so high these days.

The way I look at it, is that this way gives us racers time to learn each new track as it comes out. Everyone who has upgraded to S3 is learning Rockingham together, rather than being overwhelmed by many new tracks/cars/combos all at the same time. I really like that I only have to "worry" about one thing right now.

It was a bit of a surprise for S3/Ro to just be out with no lead up or teasing though. Even when you did the revamp of Westhill you released some images and a video. Can we look forward to those again in the future?

Quote from Webflat :We will discuss this new option, but may be theses tracks are to short.

Yes of course, even the longest configuration is only half as long as AS6R, though it's the same length as SO4 and there's been plenty of endurance races there.

At KY3 the difference between the UFR and XFR world records is 0.43 seconds. At AS6R the difference is 1.36 seconds. It's not surprising that it's more equal at KY3 than AS6R will be.
