Yes, Throttle, Brake and Clutch are "invert 1" and working correctly, all this by default. Steering is "invert 0" and is working correctly, too.
Well, it's not really a problem for me because it's easy for me to configure my controllers properly, but may make some confusion for new players. For sure it's an older wheel, but someone might buy a used and good one for less money.
EDIT: By the way, for the testing and since I use this wheel with LFS, I used an official Thrustmaster driver called FFD_2009. It's a bit old but worked great. Today I checked the support page and a new driver popped up, it's called FFD_2016_v2 and it's completely messed up in the Windows Control panel and in LFS, too. In LFS, no buttons are assigned and the axes are not configured at all. Also, it shows "Thrustmaster force feedback wheel Joystick". I advise all Thrustmaster RGT FFB owners NOT to use the new driver as it's a piece of crap. I suggest using the 2009_v1 drivers, I also reinstalled the old ones. (You can download the old and great drivers here, from my Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxfZQnI9G54vZGVmYXQyR1A2WDQ/view?usp=sharing)
- What are the axis names, e.g. X / RZ / Slider0 - I need these rather than the number Throttle pedal is the RZ axis and was incorrectly assigned to Brake function Brake pedal is the Y axis and was incorrectly assigned to Throttle function Clutch pedal is the Slider 0 and wasn't assigned to any function
- Are the axes inverted?
Nope, all axes seem good.
- What is the name of the wheel as seen in the list of controllers in Controls Options?
RGT Force Feedback Pro Steering wheel
- Were the button mappings OK?
Not really, attached a picture.
Also, as LFS didn't recognize my clutch, the "Clutch axis" setting was set as Button, not Axis, as expected.
Yep, we can all say we don't have to depend on Setupgrid now. I'm sure that after some time there will be a lot of fast and good setups available here.
After he won the championship again in 2015, Norbert Kiss made a big change this year in FIA ETRC - he will drive a Tankpool24-Mercedes this season, leaving the Hungarian OXXO Racing Team. The twice European champ from Hungary will be teammate of André Kursim in 2016. I just hope Norbi and his team will get used to each other really fast and he'll have some great success this year, because he raced so well last year with MAN and OXXO Racing Team.
I looked at those formulas and thought whaat?! My brain hurts Anyway, it would be great to have a great and accurate rating system because, as I said, most of us decide by ratings.
A small suggestion: could we see the number of votes next to the rating stars? I think a solo rating without the number doesnt do much as it can be an 5-star based on a single rating and also 4-star with 20 ratings. It would help a lot in judging whether a player wants to download that setup or not.
I imagined it this way:
I really like it! One small suggestion, when the public browsing will be available, it would be good to be able to post comments and feedback on a single setup's page.
My keyboard layout language is Slovak, abbreviated SK in Windows, called Central Europe in LFS.
Found a mistake ("-" and "=" swap) and a missing character, attached a picture. The missing character is ' and for the first time nothing is shown, the second time its doubled (´´), so it should be red like in other keyboards.
Yeah, added a [LEFT 0 - MID 1 - RIGHT 1] monitor config in View options, added the correct widths (1440, 1920) and it seemed great (first picture), except the 2-3 pixel wide line on the right monitor while in pits/main menu (second picture), which is probably the scaling issue. Part of the UI on the left screen is also out (upwards).
Again, I just test it, I don't have any real goals with these two monitors together for LFS.
Now, my post may seem completely unhelpful but I just want to post my situation as well. I don't really know what to expect from the borderless window on multiple screens on this config but maybe providing some kind of test info will help you in the development of the borderless system. So, if on this weird testing environment it works as it's supposed to work, then everything is OK.
So, I have a secondary screen on the left (1440x900, connected on VGA to the notebook) and the built-in, primary screen on the right (1920x1080). When I choose the borderless window (multiple monitors) option, it looks like this:
Agree. Clear morning looks very nice but I miss Cloudy Afternoon, it had a great English feel - not that the new one doesn't have it It would be great to have both.
Yeah, a brilliant idea. As you said, Setupgrid is outdated now (no Rockingham and still old Westhill setups, IIRC), but at least it's available. It would be awesome to make a database owned by LFS, so we don't have to rely on 3rd party sites when we need fast and good setups. A searchable database in-game would be the best (so you can search for and download the setups in the pits), but I would be happy to use a database on for example LFSWorld.
Hey, I was hotlapping with Lazy running and I have a "feature request". I want my car radar to be hidden in hotlap mode as I dont want to turn it off completely to hide it ... it's useless in hotlap mode anyways .
