As for FPS, some people are claiming as much as double the framerates they were getting. Not bad. I'll fire it up tonight and try it myself.... Lookin forward to meetin some more cows!

I'll always call it Mosport, same as how Mazda Raceway will always be Laguna Seca, Infineon (didn't they go bankrupt?) will always be Sears Point, and the Rogers Centre will always be the Skydome... but it's still sad to see it go. What happens when CT drops the contract? It will, inevitably, at some point come to an end, and then what?
Mosport Renamed?
So another iconic name is now gone from the world of motorsport. Announced today, Mosport International Raceway has been renamed Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. As much as it's nice to see a cash influx into the facility, I'm very sad to see the name go.
I really hope this will result in upgrades to the facility that bring many more major races to the circuit. I guess as long as the track itself isn't messed with this will be a good thing.

Not just the tub, they're using essentially everything except the engine and bodypanels. Chassis, suspension, tub, gearbox are all being used.
Have to say, I never played their previous titles (though I loved the art style of Grim Fandango), and I probably won't play this one, but I'm very happy for them.

As far as baseball goes; playing it I found to be ok but I couldn't watch a game on TV. I like going to the Blue Jays games, buying the cheapest tickets and then just going into the bar on the 200 level for some of the best seats in the building and get beer brought right to me. Not bad for $9... plus beer.

In my region, "football" generally refers to Canadian and/or American football, and soccer refers to "Association Football." Read up. "Football" is not one sport, it is a term for a group of sports. Much the same as a Panther is not one kind of animal, it is a designation for several different large cats (Jaguar, Leopard and Cougar).
That's a fairly sensible point of view. I still hate basketball and soccer, but it's a sensible point of view.
I grew up with NASCAR (among other motor sports) too, and I was big into it when I was a kid, but I just don't give a toss about it now. I find it dull now. I also grew up with F1, but I haven't payed much attention to that, either, sicne about '98 or so. At the moment, the thing I go most out of my way to watch is the WRC. I find it more exciting. I also still love my endurance/sports car racing, I like touring car racing and V8s (barely touring cars...) but I don't watch any of them much anymore. I like lacrosse but I never watch it on TV, don't know most of the rules, and I've only been to two games live... which were both awesome.
It was +7 and sunny here yesterday. This weather scares me... it gives me hope that Spring is here but I know one morning I'll wake up and it'll be -25 and windy as all hell, and the streetcars will be broken and I'll have to walk my tired, miserable arse to the subway station and be late for work.

We had a small super bowl party... mostly an excuse to eat a lot of junk food and drink beer. Not than we need any excuse to drink beer in Canada.
Honestly... I hate the NFL. It sucks. The CFL (Canadian Football League for those of you who aren't in Canada :P) is much, much more exciting to watch. Longer field, one less down. More difficult. It results in more attempts at long passes or long runs, and just more action in general. I went to the Bills game in Toronto, the first one they played here. It was absolutely terrible in comparison. The Super Bowl games aren't much better, either.

Why is it called the 'ALMS' pack if none of the cars in it are in the ALMS? The R18 AFAIK only ran the Sebring round of the ALMS, so it's not really part of the series, just did one race. The Abruzzi only did a handful of laps... The rest are classics that pre-date the ALMS or street cars.
