Quote from kars19 :My 1:54:940 F40 lap @ Imola

Messy lap, my goal was to get in to the 54'

0,9sec from WR, currently 7' place on RSR

What's the music in that?

Well, I haven't been around long on this forum, but I was cruising around since 2002-2003, mostly offline. Damn, that's more than half of my life actually.

Quote from kars19 :They drive around the track and do nothing...

I think devs are wasting their time and energy with Ai. And who drives with Ai these days, gt/fm croud?

No matter how good and advanced they are. They don't give me any satisfaction , when i beat them or vice versa

They drive around and learn the track, passing points and where they can improve. That's why it's called developing ai, you know.

I want a good FXR server on Aston

Please, make me laugh more. If you want to drive a single combo all day, why do you need more content?

If the layout was mode for Deko and not for any of the the drivers, then why not use that dictatorist mentality and put it in the race without casting any of the votes? Well, if you don't find any constructivism in Isaac's post, then I suggest reading it a few more times, just to be clear. The last two paragraphs are top notch in terms of "why to keep the old one". People drove there for 24 hours without complaining, at least I didn't hear any of it. I've enjoyed driving it for a day, just because my laptimes were tenths better if I got it perfectly. Now that new one, which still has only a single line to get right isn't gonna make a passing opportunity, cause one will end up in the sand for sure. Also makes GT1s think they are invincible and can get around GT2s there. That's not the case. So what did we achieve by putting in that layout? You turned a quick turn into a slow one with less challenge and opportunity to MAKE a lap. I don't see any of the advantages in using that layout, at all. Why isn't my FPS drop statement valid? That turn itself is the most resource hungry one in the whole game. That is the only turn that caused an FPS drop for me while racing, ever. So putting a layout in there would make chaos, not to mention people who have worse PC than me.

Do you think Ray's posts are better constructed, despite all of the bad statements regards the turn? What makes you think they are well-thought and formed? Reading his first post's Pros made my eyeballs roll around, trying to make anything out of that.

Quote from CrAZySkyPimp :Appereantly that users IP turns out to be in London, UK. Shouldn't he have a lifetime ban for ignoring the devs ban on his normal account?

What a surprising twist in there.

I already see GT1s divebombing in there, thinking it's a good idea. Not to mention bales and tires flying around constantly just after respawn, making it a total mess. Should I talk about the FPS drops in there? The admins went trololol with that layout.

Quote from Boris Lozac :Love this combo, went down to 7th place on RSR but actually improved my time for a tenth. Still good 2 or 3 tenths there..

Try taking the right hander before straight in 3rd gear, with slight drift. It got me like 0.3 there. I'll upload a video of that in a second.

Quote from Eclipsed :Well, there was noticable input lag, when I tried to move car at those 11fps,but now at 40fps ingame wheel moves the same as my real one (with tiny latency, but it's exactly the same in LFS). I suspect there could be some FFB lag maybe, don't know, yet to test.

Thanks,Kristi,you're a huge help,didn't know that!
Not that much of use of those extra settings,as you have to load all the time between setup menu and on track mode,as I haven't seen option to configurate anything while on track... Was hoping for help from someone, who experienced similar problems.

There is no option (yet) to configure anything on track, as the Menu Client and Game client are two separate things (which eats up tons of CPU... I hope they merge them). If you want to get the same effect as in LFS, just turn the Road and Slip effects to 0% and get Kerbs to around 20%, I think.

You know, the FFB options are there for a reason. A lot more detailed than the settings in Live for Speed.

Quote from Becky Rose :Hahaha!

Take another look at my post, you'll see an image. That image connects to a script on my server which reads your IP address and checks against a database to see what country it was issued to.

I then write the name of that country into the image and deliver it into your browser. You saw United States, someone in Sweden would see Sweden.

If I was being racist then I was doing it to the entire planet at once. Win!

Trollolol.

Also, I'm only 1/4 part Welsh. Sadly i cant show all my flags so I just picked one, i woud need 4.

You ostracized everyone in the planet at once. Congratulations, you are a genius!

Quote from ATHome :You'll find hotlap mode if you click onto challenges on the upper section of the screen where you'll end up when you click on main menu

Uh, I'm not the one having problems. I knew that since November. I was just saying how the RSR app reacts to using any other mode than Hotlap.

Quote from sinbad :My firewall asked at least 3 times to allow it access so it could be that, make sure you're in Hotlap mode too, I don't think it connects in any other.

It does connect, says that you have to go into Hotlap mode in order to get into the rankings.

Quote from Bmxtwins :Well, if you're a demo user how did you try the layout to find out?

There's a picture in the topic about the layout. It doesn't take a university to tell it's obviously an advtage to use that small bit of tarmac.

Quote from BlueFlame :I suppose you're right. Although the further back in LFS history you go, the harder the competition was anyway.

And the downfall in the competition isn't really thanks to people running away from competition. It's just the simulator dying overtime.

I don't think this forum suffers that much from racism though, so it's indeed a bit of overreaction on the case. At least, I didn't notice much of it in the past few years. I can safely assume that this is one of the high-end forums in terms of community and attitude.

The thing people don't understand about anti-racism is the most important thing, equality. Why would calling the minority's name count as racism, if calling the majority isn't? People would get banned for calling me Hungarian at any of the times? Not really. Why? Because I'm not from the countries which are considered as ridden? Or just because my race isn't targeted by racism? If any of those arab/asian/black and whatever you listed there call names on white people, it's completely okay because that race isn't the target of racism? I don't and I've never got the idea behind the logic of this. Why can't we just be people without calling names on races or calling those names out without being offended by actually naming you on your race. (Hum, that will be hard to understand for others, nvm)

Thats my 2 cents on racism, which I probably meet almost every day here in Hungary.

EDIT: The last post of Scawen just appeared after writing my post. So um, yea I understand the point about unwelcoming stuff like that. It's totally fine to suspend if you see it that way.

Which is why the Group A and race cars bounce like ****.

Definiately. It is kinda hardcore to have the E30 bouncing everywhere even on silverstone, without curbs. Made me have a seizure after a few laps. Makes the car too unpredictable.

I'm still surprised till the day, by the decision of the devs for adding the Cruise option. I always wondered why rFactor doesn't have any cruise servers. There is a lot of potential to build an epic map with all kinds of environment and landscape, and tons of road cars with half-decent physics to them. Take for example the Shift Street Mod. It's a great variety of nicely modeled cars with not-even-close to LFS physics, but still a lot of fun to drive them around. Not to mention tons of the other road car content. You can probably get something going in rF that's for sure.

As a next option, Assetto Corsa is kinda innovative with these game modes. It will be moddable and already is open to python apps. It's not a big trick to develop a cruise app for Assetto Corsa when the final thing comes out. That will probably be the heaven for cruisers.
