Personally I find it annoying to see Scawen getting so much off-topic requests/incompatible stuff asked about in the `Test Patch` forum area. People complain that they want to know what the devs are up to and when they do it turns out to be wasting more of Scawen's time. I remember people posting things like, "only a little paragraph every so often wouldn't take long."
Well Scawen is keeping everyone well informed and even taking good suggestions into consideration but the amount of people repeating what's already on the list or asking for things that just aren't possible in the compatible patch is crazy.
Read previous thread, there is no reason to close threads. Whats the point as people should use the search function and add to it if they have a similar problem. If the mods close them people will search and find it but in the end need to make a whole new topic.
Moderators have lives they don't have time to look at every single thread and decide whether it's in a state the discussion is finished.
So far your problem isn't solved anyway and you seem to continue believing that LFS is at fault ...
Why should it be closed ? In the end if someone searches finds they have a similar problem then they can add to it ...
Just don't go trolling through questions trying to confuse others with a problem which is obviously not the same. You have your own topic where you've ignored all the advice thrown at you. In the end the guy broke the fan off your card, end of story. I wouldn't have accepted it if I witnessed the guy break it, even if he told me.
You think he is going to admit to having damaged it? Sorry but you seem far to gullible and no wander the guy is trying to pull what it seems a quick one.

Yellow flags are more than sufficient and probably quicker than the average person having to fetch there keyboard after a crash. If I see a yellow flag I'll usually look at the little map and try get an idea of the accident ahead.
The only thing that I can think of being between the fan and the heatsink (guard ?) would be a rubber bushing which is hardly going to fire off into the fan.
Faster111, the guy who has fitted it has broken the fan. Chances are he might have damanged something else while putting strain on the card or fan. You should be getting in contact with him and putting pressure on him to do something about it. Even write a formal letter threatening legal action. Obviously if he fits these things for money then thats what you should do. If he is a friend then thats tricky and I guess you'll end up just having to buy a new graphics card ...
The fact is if it's broken you should do something about it. The problem can only get worse and where will that leave you? Well by that time you may have no warranty left at all and will defiantly have no come back against who ever fitted it.
As someone has already said fans just don't break themselves. They may stop working in which case they just stop working but they don't snap. In R/C racing we use fans to keep the motors cool and even with stones hitting them at times they will survive others they break.
No way would a wire break a fan in half, it would have to fall into the fan once it had spun up to full speed and even then it's still seems a bit far fetched for me.
Personally I don't think you should have paid him for the component nor the service once he broke the fan. Problem you have is must people like this will have a disclaimer on the recipt stating that any problems must be notified on site.
If your not joking then you deserve to get ripped off. Sorry but it's the truth, I can't stand people who fall for more than one scam/rubbish service more than once and moan about it. If you get ripped off once you learn from it.
Personally I still think Schumacher deserves to get DQ'd and by the sounds of it drivers aren't all that happy with him after all that contact. I've been wandering if Fisi's crash was related to Schumacher hitting his front wing off his rear tyre as it was that corner of the car that forced him to spin.
Quote from Pedro in the press conference
Q: Sorry to go on about this, but the first time it seemed as if he backed off and realised he had taken an advantage and was going let you go and then decided he wasn’t after all?
PDLR: That nearly cost me a crash. I overtook him and then he jumped the chicane, ok, he came back and he backed off and I went into turn eight on the inside just thinking he was giving position away like he should and he suddenly accelerated and so I jumped over the inside kerb and we just crashed wheels and I really didn’t understand it – it was interesting and that was that.
I can't believe that it looks like Schumacher is getting off with all that contact. Alonso nearly hit him while Schumacher was defending under blue flags. Schumacher ran into Fisi a few times by trying to defend too late and to top it off he hit Fisi's rear wheel breaking his own front wing off. He then went onto cut the chicane countless times and nearly took Pedro out when it looked like he was going to let him pass to counter out the advantage he gained.
How many people this year have been given penatly or lost there best time in qualifying for just ignoring blue flags? A lot.
Personally I don't think he deserves the point he gains from the BMW retiring. If he is going to get off with that I can't imagine what he'll do if it goes down to the wire. 97 anyone ...
How many times do you actually see smoke coming from the exhausts of racing cars, actually even road cars for that matter...
Why are people obssessed with improvement suggestions that involve damage ... personally I'm not aiming to hit the wall at 160km/h. Sure it could be and will be improved in the future but to me it's nothing major ...
You did actually buy the game and aren't just thinking that you can get S2 for free ? i.e just thinking you can enter your login details without buying a license ?
You are using your GAME password rather than your WEB one?
LFS has only ever had 3 demo cars and can you imagine what it would be like if you gave them the BF1. I can't see a company like Intel & BMW being fussed if it's included in a demo or not. They aren't there to promote the game in the end, they are just putting on a show for the fans and trying to make them think `BMW` for there next car.
I think it's just ISI trying to appeal to a wider audience now that they have a real car to place in the demo. They really need it in there as well, that small car is just terrible in my opinion.
I still maintain that the FFB gives little information on what the car is actually doing. I locked both the BMWs fronts when I just touched the pedal and didn't notice till the car was unstable on the screen.
Also don't press F :/ seems to put the game in fast forward mode :o I hit it by accident and found myself flying into a wall
My guess on the whole deal is that Eric didn't want to model every car update which ISI seems to have done.
It should be an option if it's implemented. When servers are busy I don't want to join the vMax server and find people constantly asking me to kick or ban so and so.
Telementary and skid marks show that he saw the deer and made an attempt to brake. He brought the car down to 90mphs according to the team before he hit the deer.
They do, but it's just one of these things. The marshals might have been a good bit away and just seen it as it jumped the wall onto the track into Da Matta's path.
I don't want the random effects in LFS that GTR2 has. They mean nothing and are there purely for the immersion factor. The whole idea behind the physics driven FFB is to give an accurate representation of what the car is actually doing. ISI just throw together an event driven FFB, if understeer play this understeer effect etc. Many of the things you feel in ISI sims are things which you wouldn't really feel through the wheel but through your body.
Animals are hard things to keep off tracks. You need holes in the walls etc for marshals to access the track so it's not hard for them to find a way onto it.
This reminded me of my near miss with a segal. What a scare that gave me. Was probably doing 70 odd mph in a kart and this segal was about to land on the bit of track in front of me. It must have been such a close call, naturally I closed my eyes.
