Quote from Chupacabras84 :I bought this wheel in a small shop near me and if wheel gets screwed i gotta bring it back to the shop I have no idea why would logitech send me another wheel just like that (Tho having the old one for spare parts isnt the bad thing).

Cause Logitech prefers doing warranty service themselves instead of the retailers. When I bought mine, it had little paper in it that said something like, if it breaks, contact logitech support, don't return it to shop.

Quote from Chupacabras84 :And yet I want to know how durable are those things.
Beside where I live to exchange something it takes like a month.
You give the thing back to the shop then wait for a week b4 they send it somewhere then another couple of weeks while they look for a tiniest scratch that might prove the damage was your fault and then another week if they send you a new one.
And I dont think i can go back to PS2 pad for a month (Well technically I could but I'd rather not screw the wheel in first place)

Err..

With Logitech, they send you a new one without you having to ship broken one to them, and shipping is free and fast (UPS 5-day shipping).

50% FF in LFS here, 101% in logitech profiler, 0% spring/damper effect.

Closest to RL would be 100% but that would make you sweat after 10 minutes into the race.

Just FYI, CUDA-based md5 crackers do ~500 MHash/sec even on mid-level GPU's (that's 500,000,000 hashes PER SECOND0.

Quote from BullHorn :b) I have no ideas on how to hard-mount the pedals, I have ceramic floor.

Double-sided duct tape, obviously. 3M's VHB one should work very well.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Show the same for me.

3 people have now said that their stock intel coolers are more than up to the job and yet you are maintaining they are rubbish.

In other words, shut yurrr face.

Yeah, all Intel coolers are totally the same. Every single one. Right?

Quote from Bose321 :How is that? Those programs just get the temperature info from the sensors, how can SpeedFan show lower numbers? How do you know RealTemp doesn't show higher temps?

RealTemp gets temperature info from CPU's thermal sensor that shows distance remaining to TJ (temperature at which thermal throttling gets enabled). Not from motherboard sensors or stuff like that.
Quote from Bose321 :edit: SpeedFan and RealTemp show exactly the same temperatures for me.

That means just one thing - your motherboard is very, very good. On most motherboards, they show different temperatures.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :So what? I've never seen higher than 55 and that was about 3 weeks ago, when I was photoshopping while watching Youtube (at least that's what I call xvideos) and it hit 54.

Stock cooler with a load of dust as I found about a week ago when I put a new HDD. Dusteh dusteh. Since then I've not installed SpeedFan or similar on my new OS :sadbanana

lol, you use SpeedFan to see temperatures? No wonder you see them so low.

RealTemp is only app I know that shows really real temps.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Works great on my Q6600....after playing Crysis for 3 hours my CPU is 51 degrees...

illepall

That's cause Crysis uses only 2 cores out of 4. Try Prime95

Quote from [RCG]Boosted :actually i never had a overheating problem with stock coolers on any cpu.
the highest i ever had was 60 C on my phenom II x3 (under long time load).
and that was during summer and a very dusty fan

You obviously have never used Intel's stock coolers. Those manage to get CPU past thermal limit even without any overclock.

Quote from hazaky :That argument is invalid.

What if the stock cooler is so shitty that it barely keeps the cpu cooled at stock speeds? U cant judge cpu's capabilities by its cooler. If u want to overclock then its obvious that u will need an aftermarket cooler.

Six-core Phenom II's, for example, have pretty decent stock coolers, with heatpipes and stuff.

Quote from BullHorn :p.s. I'm still playing it and even though the official website down, the co-creator of the game Vino (Jorge Rodriguez) is still supporting the old community on a different website and is currently in the making of a new open-source TS-like game on the Source engine. !

Give me link or I'll follow you into a dark alley.

Can't see 5.5 lb happening with Li-Ion having 115 watt-hours per 1 pound.
Even if that bike would be made just of batteries, it would have just 650 watt-hours.. it'd drain battery in a hour with less than 1 horsepower of output.

Do you use hibernation?
If yes, well - it's a known bug. After unlocking LFS, shut down your PC completely instead of hibernating, then start it again. Now your unlock should be kept forever
