Have absolutely no consideration for your fellow racer. Attempt every passing chance you see, regardless of how improbable. Attack every corner and racing incident in a suicidally reckless manner.
To be honest, I don't think the gearing increases the range of the pots in this instance. My brother's BRD Pro pedals usea gearing, but the difference in size of the cogs increases the pots range. On the G25 pedals, the two cog gears appear to be the same size / turning radius which, if true, means turning range of the pot will be no greater unfortunately.
As it is though, the current DFP pots seem to have a decent resolution even with their reduced range, so as long as they match those they should be okay. The gearing mechanasim appears to be there to solve calibration / stability / accuracy problems.
Pots are the same as Rev B by the looks, but the construction does appear to be better. The pots are not directly attached to the pedal shaft as per DFP/momo (see pic) so strain is taken off the pots, removing any lateral movement (which caused those infamous problems).
Also, the pedal travel finishes at a point where steel meets steel, so under / over calibration should be all but gone.
This is only info I've read from various forums btw, I have no first hand personal knowledge of the unit.
The paddle settings are not your gears. Map 'stick up' and 'stick down' to your preferred gear up and down buttons/shifter paddles.
The paddle up and down is for changing gear on the fTarget. You have to manually cut the revs using special levers on this car, hence the paddle controls. I haven't tried this method, as you can set auto clutch and auto cut which are easier.
Found this on the Top Gear site, concerning getting tickets to go to the show. Made me chuckle.
"We also ask that groups of people coming to the recordings have a 50/50 male/female split. This is so we don't end up with a bunch of ugly male car geeks ruining everyone's Sunday night."
DFP can be had for a little under £60 Had mine for two years and it's going fine. Pedals needed replacing with newer revision, but the wheel has given zero problems.
Well I think he means it will at least be compatible with any machine that could run Namie - say in the way some games now won't run with older cards, my gf ti4200 for example. But it won't necessarily run with great FPS on older machines. I'm expecting to struggle.
I'd DL the song from 'elsewhere' with a clear conscience that you've rightfully paid for it and should be allowed to listen to it as and when you wish.
Another example of copywright laws punishing the paying user whilst doing little to halt piracy. In fact it's perpetuating piracy for this very reason.
Email Leo with deatils of the Formula GP's pedal plug, or pot connections, then you can plug these pedals direct into USB, no need for the wheel. While you're at it plug the DFP pedals in this way too (this controller can handle 8 axis). I've found it to be much better than the Logi drivers for the pedals.
Something you may not know (I didn't) - if you change the resolution to give a different aspect ratio then the relative FOV will be a different amount.
Some bright spark from this community gave me the math equation for converting from one to another. Here it is:
Enter this into a normal Google search field, change the "FOV" to the 4:3 FOV you are using, press enter and Google will tell you the FOV you need for 16:9 aspect ratio in this example.
If you're using two 4/3 monitors and corresponding resolutions (eg 1024/768) then the 16/9 should be changed to 2.67/1.
So if you normally use 67 degrees, this would give 106. This does mean that with an LFS max of 120 you can only get the equivalent of 81 fov.
I've had this full brake problem too on my DFP. Very annoying. I solved it by buying a USB controller which allows me to plug the pedals straight into their own USB port - no more wacky Logitech drivers and their wacky calibration quirks.
Well, if HLVC doesn't see/stop it, and if it's there for everyone equally to do (even if it hasn't occured to most) it can't really be considered cheating.
