Would this mean people's pizzas now arrive slightly hotter?

Speedblack?

My brother just bought one, but I haven't seen / tried it yet.

I bought on of those pedals, along with the Double Muff. Found a really cheap place for them.

The Double Muff is the better pedal for me, I sold the LBM straight away.

They need to introduce a rule where the in-lap is within a certain % of their fastest Q time, to deter the slow fuel saving in-lap nonsense. As the poster above says, it'll cause havoc at Monaco.

Quote from Tisza :That's not really nice... so let's say in about 1 or 2 years I shall expect that my pedals gonna brake or smthg?

Those pedals might struggle to last two years of heavy use anyway, even the later revision. The pots on mine started spiking after six months.

The G25 pedals are substantially better, both in build and feel. Worth the extra, if for nothing else than to avoid the headaches those old Logi pedals cause. I had to open mine and clean the pots every few weeks. Got boring fast.

Are you over 13? Get one of these. No credit check, no refusal. Usable all over the world / online / anywhere that takes Mastercard. Your folks won't even have to know about it. East Peasy.

If it is a G25 internally then I think that would be a good move. Then as far as the wheel goes (ie apart from the pedals / shifter) the only difference to the G25 then would be the leather. The extra buttons make up for that imo.

Quote from MR_B :There's absolutely no mention of any improvements inside the wheel

Yes there is. DFP does not have anti-backlash system. Plus as suggested above, there are likely to be whatever improvements have been discovered since after The G25 was released. It's bound to have had at least some design re-jig since the original DFP. Anti-backlash shows this.

No one's forced to buy this, why is everyone so outraged?

Well the blurb claims it has anti backlash, which is what keeps the G25 solid, unlike the original DFP which has that slight play around the centre. So it looks like there is some improvement.

11 inch wheel also, which IIRC is bigger than the DFP.

I quite like it it. I assume it will work on the PC?

Quote from niels1 :Its so hard to understand this is a beta test. Why do people have to give sarcasm. Nobody expext to get a wheel wich runs perfectly during a beta test. For that matter every hardware needs some testing and getting ride of flaws or mailfunctions. So mature these kinda answers .

I didn't realise it was a Beta test. I thought the product had been released. If that is so and they fix the issue then that's great.

Also my comment was meant to be a light hearted dig at worst. Don't be so sensitive.

Quote from mr_pio :BTW, same here. You just have to stop and unplug/plug in the wheel power to re-center the wheel.

Excellent, simply pull over to the side of the track, making sure not to disrupt the race of those racing hard behind you, reset your wheel, then carry on. Perfect

What's the poll rate via USB for this wheel? DFP is 125 (per sec), G25 is 500. You can tell the difference.

Quote from teedot :i think how they work is more important then what they look like inside...

I wasn't referring to cosmetics, but quality and build / design decisions. I couldn't give a hoot what they look like in that regard.

Tiny pots, attached to the pedal arm, in a manner which caused all manner of calibration issues with last gen Logitech pedals.

Inside of pedals look like a step backwards compared to the G25. More like Momo / DFP style. Not encouraging.

If you've gone from one position on the wheel plate, to two, how does that quadruple the amount of available positions? Seems like it would only double the amount of positions.

Your diagram is a little confusing to me.

It's great that you're constantly improving your product though. I hope to buy one later this year.

DFP on ebay maybe??

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/driving- ... ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Only problem with a secong had DFP is the pedals might be trashed. Pedals are the weak link on most of the pre G25 Logitech wheels.

They're not even the most expensive, or highest quality out there. ECCI cost many times more, as does the VPP wheel. The Frex wheel will probably blow everything else away. That might be worth bragging about, if you're insecure enough to need to do so. And if you can afford it, I doubt you'd see spending that amount of money on a PC peripheral as a point that needs shouting about.

The G25 is a good wheel, fair pedals, shoddy shifter. It's like bragging that you have a Mexican Stratocaster. Better than average maybe, but nothing that special.

Try this. Don't know if it will work / help. Not sure where this was originally posted.

(1) Uninstall the whole package (profiler and everything) and reboot your machine.
(2) delete everything in C:/ProgramFiles/CommonFiles/Logitech
(3) Clean out your Temp folder and go into C:/Windows/System32/Drivers folder and delete anything in there that has anything to do with Logitech (logitech drivers usually begin with Wm.-just hover with your mouse and it will say Logitech or not.)
(4) In the same folder, delete the five or six Windows drivers that begin with "hid." You should watch after you delete them, though, to make sure that they re-appear. Be SURE they re-appear!!!!!!!! If they do not, go into the recycle bin and restore them. Reboot your machine.
(5) Now, re-install whatever driver package it is you decide you want to. Your wheel should work.

Admittedly the design isn't ideal, but it's a bit like saying "I keep banging my face against this wall and now my nose is busted. Where do I complain?"

I suggest you get creative, find a block of wood or something, or some other method to secure your pedals. (EDIT - I see you've tried some rubber)

Although I guess that doesn't help with your wacky inputs. Did you not notice the wire rammed against the wall to start with?

It's plastic. The assembly is quite simple. There are two parts to the plastic spring assembly - one which sleeves over the other, with the spring inside. The squeaking will either be the plastic rubbing as the sleeves move across each other or possibly the metal pivot at the base of the pedal. Or maybe it'd the spring inside the narrower sleeve catching.

You just have to void your warranty and open them up. They're quite straight forward. Then use some grease (not WD40 on the plastic)
