Since Ive recently bought a G25 I was thinking about buying a mount for it. I did consider a racing *Removed*pit but my parents said I was stupid :P I found this one http://wheelstandpro.com/ but thats a bit too expensive. All I want basically is something to mount the wheel and shifter on and a place to put the peddals. I also have a seat so I don't need to worry about that, but if one comes with it and its a reasonable pricde i might consider it. My price range would be under £80 but I may go higher if needed. So if anyone has or has seen one thats decent please post here Thanks.

Why not give it a shot? Its relatively easy, and works out cheap too. All you need is being able to measure properly, good eye-coordination and common sense

I have made a shelf which goes all along the one side of my room where the window is. I have made 2 cupboards in the centre, and 3 places for my subs to go. The length is about 15 metres, and the height is a metre and abit. All in all, it cost me £25 in total for screws, hinges, wood and paint and about a week to do (about 2 hours a day).

It was quite good fun to make, and now with the final result, im very pleased with it. I would recommend making something like joseph suggested as you can make it how YOU like it, and its fun .

I would but theres only one problem. My parents. As my PC is in the conservatory where people are 80% of the time they would complain about it being an isore. So I can't.

You could just buy a desk. But get something that does'nt wobble too much, and try and get one with no bottom, and it would be better for the wheel to go on carpet then wood.

Yeah I suppose. But its actually finding one that isn't too expensive and isn't too wobbly. I would still rather a mount though

What kind of joints are you planning to use on that thing? Unless you have some triangulation or really strong dovetail joints that thing will just collapse.

As I said, its a Flimsy MDF type contraption. That was just a 5 minute Google Sketchup representation of the sort of think I was talking about.

I by no means even thought about how the hell it would stick together.

Don't hold me responsible If you make such a thing and it collapses, breaking your sim racing hardware
