G25 Wheel Mount
Since Ive recently bought a G25 I was thinking about buying a mount for it. I did consider a racing *Removed*pit but my parents said I was stupid :P I found this one http://wheelstandpro.com/ but thats a bit too expensive. All I want basically is something to mount the wheel and shifter on and a place to put the peddals. I also have a seat so I don't need to worry about that, but if one comes with it and its a reasonable pricde i might consider it. My price range would be under £80 but I may go higher if needed. So if anyone has or has seen one thats decent please post here Thanks.
I had in mind a flimsy MDF type contraption, if you are willing to do a bit of DIY

Why not give it a shot? Its relatively easy, and works out cheap too. All you need is being able to measure properly, good eye-coordination and common sense

I have made a shelf which goes all along the one side of my room where the window is. I have made 2 cupboards in the centre, and 3 places for my subs to go. The length is about 15 metres, and the height is a metre and abit. All in all, it cost me £25 in total for screws, hinges, wood and paint and about a week to do (about 2 hours a day).

It was quite good fun to make, and now with the final result, im very pleased with it. I would recommend making something like joseph suggested as you can make it how YOU like it, and its fun .
I would but theres only one problem. My parents. As my PC is in the conservatory where people are 80% of the time they would complain about it being an isore. So I can't.

AH right. Fair enough then ;d

You could just buy a desk. But get something that does'nt wobble too much, and try and get one with no bottom, and it would be better for the wheel to go on carpet then wood.
Yeah I suppose. But its actually finding one that isn't too expensive and isn't too wobbly. I would still rather a mount though
Maybe this:

translated to English:

Two weeks ago I ordered the RinoSeat, and after I have sensetively ajusted it, I now have three races (60 min per NGT, 70 min GTL, 3 hours LSC), so that I have enough experience for a small report. So from that:
According to Heinz Erhardt I started thinking ahead, namely when ordering. Email to Renato (here at the Forum "renorino"), half an hour later came the order, together with account for the transfer. The transfer lasted longest (since the weekend), the transport went quickly, and after ordering, I got a shipment number with which I detailed package via the Internet could follow. Customer service and information flow 1A.
The package was quite compact (dimensions can be viewed on www.rinoseats.com), the content well padded and slippery place. To build there is even a complete tool, what is needed to help provided additional cable ties and both side adhesive tape (surface once schleifpapier, once klettverschlussartig).
With the instruction manual, which I have previously received by mail, is the spectacle even for skilled craftsmanship rather average fellow like me to do well.
Then the first fitting at NGT races in Zandvoort: The seat is as comfortable as stable and has a long run tavern situation.
On an anticipated stability anyway: All your fears this good conscience I can dispel. When I first saw pictures, I was a little skeptical - holds that? But then I looked at more and more photos and videos viewed mainly that my doubts were dwindling. And after I in the last race in my desk chair was already so annoyed by my inappropriate seating position, I decided to RinoSeat indicated.
In short, the thing is bombenfest. In terms of stability it can't be compared to PlaySeat in nothing. No shaking, no slides, no tilt, nothing. Even with proper force feedback, and also quick steering movements device is not in trouble. The steering wheel holder, I think even much better than the PlaySeat (the times when I was Fritz test), while the PlaySeat Holder something like swing to the side when you violently boost at the wheel, you can feel when RinoSeat due to the relatively short connection the handlebars to the seat absolutely nothing.
After the first race fit the pedal position still is not 100%, so on Saturday amended and by far the most relaxing LSC race of my life there, mind you, relaxed and not get bored (who live stream has seen, knows that everything other than boring, ). Even after an hour running time was for me: This investment has been worth it. The comfort is outstanding. The back is divided into three stages variable (steep, "rally-style", nearly 90 ° / upright, "normal" style and a little further tilted / F1 flat, "GT-style" liegemäßig heavily tilted). I chose the medium variant decide, because I am most lateral support, and best fleet also perform manoeuvres at the wheel. It can have on the boards for the steering wheel and pedals several disguise.
As some have written: You do not wegrutschenden pedals after fishing with me is also often times the chair rolled to the side, or the steering wheel holder has been relaxed at the table - that's all past. It has a fixed seat and pedal position, which is to focus much better on the race and we can concentrate not so long strained.
In addition, the design is relatively compact. My room is not exactly majestic proportions, so it was very important to me that I use the racing seat can be stowed simply, without the need to dismantle it, if I just do not go. And he will after use across underneath my desk, with the seat in the desk drawer - fits perfectly.
From me, there is therefore an unqualified recommendation: Who plays with the idea of getting a race seat indicated, with the RinoSeat in any case, happy. This is it is very compact and relatively cheap. I am very pleased. And no, I am not lately in the marketing department of Rino Industries employed.

What kind of joints are you planning to use on that thing? Unless you have some triangulation or really strong dovetail joints that thing will just collapse.

As I said, its a Flimsy MDF type contraption. That was just a 5 minute Google Sketchup representation of the sort of think I was talking about.

I by no means even thought about how the hell it would stick together.

Don't hold me responsible If you make such a thing and it collapses, breaking your sim racing hardware
