You need the New Dimension Racing logo on each side of the car, for both of these.

Quote from Features_Gaming :Sorry for attatching 2, they are both the same and have no idea how to remove one of them

You need to use the provided number board provided in the OP, along with the New Dimension Racing logo on the sides of your car.

14:30 UTC: Qualifying - 20 minutes, 2-shot Qualifying
15:00 UTC: Sprint Race - 12 laps
15:45 UTC: Feature Race - 20 laps

Event Specifics

Race:

1. Alerting the Administration:

Use @sc to alert administration to look at your car or the section of track you were in when you use the @sc command. The command will tell the administration what location you're at.

2. Qualifying Procedure

We are doing a two-shot qualifying system this season. You have a maximum of two exits of the pitlane, and two timed laps. You may take the laps separately or back to back. You are not to exit the pit lane if you do not have a timed lap remaining.

The qualifying session is 20 minutes in duration. The actual session will be 22 minutes long. Pit exit will be closed for the first two minutes. The Race Director will announce when the fast lane is open for drivers to queue at pit exit. Drivers should only enter the fast lane if they intend to proceed to the track from the pitlane.

In the event we have more than 40 drivers confirm for this race meeting, we will split the entrants evenly into two groups, and have a second server for qualifying. Notice of which group you are in will be sent via forum message.

3. Start and Safety Cars:

Each race will have one formation lap, followed by a standing start.

When the default LFS lights turn green, pull away from your grid slot and do one lap, return to the grid area. Stop at the furthest available grid slot. Once all cars are in position, the Starter will initiate the start sequence. An insim head-up display will appear, with three lights. After 5 seconds, all three lights will illuminate red. After a pause of between 2 and 5 seconds, the lights will turn green and the race will be started.

On Restarts, the Safety Car will pull away from the field after Turn 9. It must not be overtaken before it crosses the 1st Safety Car line.

4. Wind Conditions:

Low wind for all sessions. In the event that we split qualifying sessions, wind will be turned off for qualifying.

5. Communications:

All drivers are required to be in the NDR TeamSpeak server: teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com - Race Control messages will be broadcast to anyone in a channel in the Pit Wall in TS. If you would like a subchannel for your team or friendly drivers, please let us know and we will create one.

SimBroadcasts will be broadcasting the race live, and will be in the NDR TeamSpeak. You are invited to be interviewed on stream during the breaks between sessions. Please follow their terms listed at https://simbroadcasts.tv/voice - we will apply those to our Commentary Box area.

6. Driver Naming:

Be sure to be in your proper name format Number (grey or white), space, then First initial last name [eg. 00 J. Palmer]. The name must be in GREY or WHITE.

7. Tracker:

Timing will be available and running on http://tracker.newdimensionracing.com.

8. Track Limits:

Drivers are reminded that they must have at least two whole tyres on the racing surface at all times. The racing surface is defined as the marked course and its kerbing. For the avoidance of doubt, the entire white line delineating the course is considered part of the course. The anti-cut humps at the chicane are not part of the racing surface.

If you miss the chicane on the tarmac, you must go through the tyre stacks, and stay entirely to the left of the yellow line to return to the race course. If you are sent left of the yellow line through the grass in any capacity, you must stay to the left of the yellow line, but do not have to go through the tyre stacks.

9. Pit Entry and Pit Exit

On Pit Entry, drivers are to have all four tyres to the left of the white line from the orange post.

On Pit Exit, drivers are to have all four tyres to the left of the white line for its entire length.

10. Miscellany:

Do NOT under any circumstances Shift+P or Shift+S during the race without authorization from Race Control.

11. Virtual Safety Car Test There will be a test Virtual Safety Car deployment in the free practice session, starting about 5 minutes remaining in the session. All drivers are encouraged to participate in this test.

12. End of Race After finishing the race, please slow WELL BELOW racing speeds after Turn 1 and proceed around into pit lane. The top 3 shall report back to Start / Finish Line for podium pose.

Top three and anyone else wishing to be interviewed on the broadcast should join the Commentary Box Waiting Room, and one of the commentators will move you to the Commentary Box.

This race will be broadcasted by Sim Broadcasts: https://twitch.tv/simbroadcasts

Please post any procedural questions in this thread.

Good luck!

Quote from PitlaneRacer :Session: Race
Lap AND MPR timecode of incident: 19 / 21:20
Car(s) involved: B2R Ayoub_MaRoC / [MRc] Michal / B2R spiky
Location of incident: Red flag line
Brief description of incident: Failing to stop at RF line (after being instructed twice)

This protest is rejected as driver protesting is not directly involved.

This incident was reviewed, however, by a Judge of Fact and the Race Director. It is determined that the spirit of the rule was followed, and the matter did not need forwarding to the Stewards.

Quote from PitlaneRacer :Session: Race
Lap AND MPR timecode of incident: 19 / 21:30
Car(s) involved: [MRc] Michal / B2R spiky / HR™|Cooper
Location of incident: S/F straight
Brief description of incident: Overtake under red

This protest is rejected as the protesting driver is not directly involved in the incident.

The matter was reviewed by a Judge of Fact, and the matter forwarded to the Stewards.

The Stewards have deemed that HR|Cooper yieled to spiky and michal, therefore take no further action.

Quote from PitlaneRacer :And a question for (or protest against, if you like ;D) race control:
Was that switchback between rane and Jereloco "legal" (lap 19 / 23:10 [22:00 - 23:20, 28:55 - 29:10]) ?
Also they both (Jloco twice) weren't given permission to say anything about it (which is my main point)

Rane was within his right to overtake Jereloco at pit entry area at 22:06 mpr time, as Jereloco came to a complete stop by the pit entry.

Rane elected to yield the position back to Jereloco during the red flag. This is not desired behaviour, but no penalty will be applied.

This protest is rejected as the protesting driver is not invlolved directly in the incident.

Quote from michal 1279 :Session: Race
Lap AND MPR timecode of incident: 18 (leader 19) / 20:50
Car(s) involved: PitlaneRacer
Location of incident: Pit lane entry
Brief description of incident: Entering the pit lane after the red flag is issued and taking service before exiting the pit lane, breaking NDR Sporting Code XIII.3.3.b

This protest is rejected as the protesting driver is not directly involved in the incident.

A Judge of Fact reviewed this incident, and deemed that PitlaneRacer was not in the pitlane at the time of the red flag, and referred the matter to the stewards.

The Stewards have opted to not penalize this, and instead make this a teaching moment. The NDR Sporting Code states that no one should take pitstop service during a red flag except those already in the pit lane at the time the red flag is called. The Pit lane is defined as the area between the speed limit lines. All other areas are part of the race track or pit entry or pit exit.

Quote from michal 1279 :Session: Race
Lap AND MPR timecode of incident: 18 (leader 19) / 21:10
Car(s) involved: PitlaneRacer / [WCL] T.Soini / [LCS-R] MaTe
Location of incident: Pit lane
Brief description of incident: PitlaneRacer is gaining position on Soini and Mate under the red flag condition.

This protest is rejected as the driver is not directly involved in the incident.

Soini and Mate were stationary in the pitlane when PitlaneRacer overtook them. No incident.

Further, PitlaneRacer and michal 1279 are hereby reminded that a driver must be directly involved in an

Hello racers!

Welcome to the 2020 TBO Challenge! We hope you are looking forward to this season as much as we are. The TBO cars provide great racing, and a challenge to drive.

We start our season at Westhill National with the chicane. It's been good to see a lot of times in the Airio table. We encourage you to spend some time practicing in the server, especially if others are there and you're newer.

Round 1 is on 11th October 2020.

Quote from Scawen :Calculations and algorithms based on models and then the constants adjusted to try to match test rig data available for some tyres, and lateral force figures for some cars and just sometimes we can do lap time comparisons.

So in short - get a benchmark based on models and constants then adjust the constants according to as many real world results as possible.

In practice you can then find the models or assumptions are wrong or don't scale properly then you can read scientific papers on theory of rubber adhesion, etc. and try to figure out how to make sense of such complex phenomena described in seemingly abstract papers with confusing mathematics, into something that can really be implemented into realtime simulation with several cars at the same time. From which University would you like me to suggest you as an honorary doctorate degree in physics? Tongue

Round 9 Official results posted.

Trespasser has mathematically secured the championship this season. He has a lead of as many points remaining in the season. He would win tiebreaker based on his number of wins.

Because this season crosses the bounds of the time change, I have updated the timetables accordingly.

Round 1 will start at 14:00 UTC with Free Practice; Rounds 2-6 will start at 15:00 UTC with free practice.

Round 2 is ON the time change day for most of the world, America falls back two weeks later. Any Americas racers will have Round 2 start one hour later than usual, while all racers in the rest of the world will not see a change in the start in their local time.

To help avoid doubt, we will state extra timezones for the Rounds 1-3 briefing threads.
