GT4 Sprint Cup 2024 - Skins

Per the regulations, you are required to run a skin with elements that we provide. For this season, we are providing a sunstrip as an overlay (2048 square), and a numberboard as a PSD file. Please overlay the sunstrip on your livery, and place the numberboard on the following locations:
  • Both sides of car, anywhere between the front and rear wheels
  • On hood
Remember that the 'number' configuration of the cars is NOT permitted.

The series logo and the NDR logo are provided for your convenience in the pack.

The Univia Pro font on the numberboard is part of Adobe Cloud - you may substitute that font for any other similar sans serif font if you do not have access to Adobe Fonts

Please make sure skins are posted no later than 2 hours before a round, to make sure we have time to generate the skin pack.

Quote :Skinkit updated: Number text must be black on number board.

GT4 Sprint Cup 2024 - Announcement

Hello racers!

New Dimension Racing are pleased to announce our newest series the GT4 Sprint Cup! This series will use the N.400S GT4 mod by Aleksandr_124rus, for three race meetings in as many weeks for the inagrual season. Two races per meeting, 20 minutes + 1 lap in duration.

Our initial hope was to make this a fixed setup series, but we are going to hold off on that part and instead, go for the season in a traditional sense - bring your own setup. Qualifying will run in the semi-hardcore mode, drivers will be only allowed to spec/telepit from within the pit lane.

The schedule:
14th January: Westhill National (WE1)
21th January: Blackwood GP (BL1)
28th January: Rockingham ISSC (RO1)

Race meetings run from 15:00 UTC with Free Practice, qualifying at 15:30 UTC, and the last race should be done by 17:30 UTC.

The N.400S GT4 mod immediately caught our eyes, we are hoping the rest of you enjoy and appreciate the quality and raceability of this mod!

All races will be streamed live by our good friends at Sim Broadcasts

Round 4 official results and points now posted.

The Driver's Champion for 2023 is Gabor, he clinched with his win and Zdravko's timeout.

The Team's Championship has one scenario to change:

If Team S1DUS does not score any points, and Born 2 Race scores maximum points, B2R can win the title at Round 5.

There are 44 points available at the round (1st + 2nd + Fastest Lap). Fragmaster is 44 points back, but cannot win a tiebreaker with Team S1DUS, and neither can Born 2 Race.

Even though the top steps of each championships are pretty well settled, the rest of the top few spots are very much up for grabs, so a lot of motion is possible in the last round!

Event Specifics

1. Alerting the Administration:
Use @sc to alert administration to look at your car or the section of track you were in when you use the @sc command. The command will tell the administration what location you're at.

2. Communications:
All drivers are required to be in the NDR TeamSpeak server: teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com - Race Control messages will be broadcast to anyone in a channel in the Pit Wall in TS. If you would like a subchannel for your team or friendly drivers, please let us know and we will create one.
Make sure you have your race number and/or your LFS username as your nickname on TeamSpeak

3. Broadcast
This race will be broadcasted by Sim Broadcasts: https://twitch.tv/simbroadcasts

They will be in the NDR TeamSpeak. You are invited to be interviewed on stream during the breaks between sessions. Please follow their terms listed at https://simbroadcasts.tv/voice - we will apply those to our Commentary Box area.

4. Driver Naming:
Be sure to be in your proper name format Number, pipe, then name [eg. 00 | J. Palmer].

The car number and your name must be in grey or white. Your pipe should be in the closest colour to the predominant colour of your car skin.

5. Practice Starts
Drivers are permitted to take practice starts at the location notified above, any time the pit exit is open. Drivers taking practice starts should pull as far right as they can at the pit exit (around the speed limit end line), and wait for a clear path to take their practice start. Cars in the exit lane have right of way over cars preparing for a practice start. There's a yellow chalk line to show where you should pause for your practice start.

Drivers taking practice starts must leave a car's width for cars exiting pitlane not taking a practice start.

6. Virtual Safety Car Test
There will be a test Virtual Safety Car deployment in the free practice session, starting about 5 minutes remaining in the session. All drivers are encouraged to participate in this test.

7. Pit Entry and Pit Exit
On pit entry, all parts of the car must be to the RIGHT of the blend line.
On pit exit, all parts of the car must be to the RIGHT of the blend line, along its entire length.

For the avoidance of doubt, cars still on the course may cross the blend lines where they exist on the course. Cars on course should be aware of cars entering and exiting pit lane.

8. Qualifying Procedure
The course is open for laps from the session start until the time has elapsed. The pit exit will close at the chequered flag. No driver should exit the pitlane without sufficient time to start a timed lap.

9. Race Start:
Each race will have one formation lap, followed by a standing start.

When the default LFS lights turn green, pull away from your grid slot and do one lap, return to the grid area. Stop at the furthest available grid slot. Once all cars are in position, the Starter will initiate the start sequence. An insim head-up display will appear, with five darkened lights. After 5 seconds, each light will illuminate red at one second intervals. After a pause of between 3 and 7 seconds, the lights will extinguish and the race will be started.

10. Safety Car:

During safety car deployments, the Race Director will permit lapped cars to unlap themselves. Listen for instructions on this procedure. Cars instructed to overtake must do so safely, and must maintain their position relative to other cars that were waved around.

During the safety car deployment, the leader should keep within 10-15 car lenghts of the safety car while its lights are illuminated.

On Restarts, the Safety Car will extinguish its lights on the Back Straight. Once the lights are off, the leader may increase their gap to the safety car.

Overtaking is not permitted on all restarts until YOU have crossed the start-finish line. The safety car must not be overtaken until it has crossed the first safety car line.

11. End of Race
After finishing the race, please slow WELL BELOW racing speeds after Turn 1 and proceed to pit lane. The top 3 shall report to the start-finsh line on-track.

All other cars, return to the pitlane, into parc ferme - marked by railings.

Top three and anyone else wishing to be interviewed on the broadcast should join the Commentary Box Waiting Room, and one of the commentators will move you to the Commentary Box.

12. Miscellany:
Do NOT under any circumstances Shift+P or Shift+S from on course during the race without authorization from Race Control.

You do NOT need permission to retire once you are in the pit lane.

If you suffer a lost connection or timeout from the server, you are permitted to rejoin the race, and we will add your completed laps to your car once you've rejoined.

Please post any procedural questions in this thread.

Good luck!
