I discovered LFS through a friend, markredden. As it turns out we are now in the same team, although we have been fairly inactive over the last couple of months.

I've just returned from a hectic night, with a large amount of alcohol being consumed.

Just about ok though, with everyone of my friends gaining what they needed, so a pretty happy camp.

I got a BCCD, gaining me entry into Sheffield Hallam.

Thanks everyone for the comments, very much appreciated.

How has everyone done?

Just logged onto UCAS this morning to see that I have been accepted onto my course, I don't know my grades yet but thats all I'm bothered about.

So happy!

I like yourself have missed this "go fast" cheat that people are saying is doing the rounds.

However, ask yourself does it really matter?

Try and improve your own times and forget the prat that wants to cheat to win. I'm sure one day someone will be able to identify who's using it and who's not, then ban them!

I usually get "LFS Arse" from the missus. When she's waiting upstairs and I'm playing LFS.

lx4 391,851 laps
lx6 354,081 laps
ra 281,261 laps
xr gt 274,988 laps

The LX's should get used more, but the RA is a very difficult car to drive.

I heard Carlin had entered an entry to join F1, anyone else heard this?

I was planning to go to watch the BTCC at Donington the other week, but couldn't make it. Looked like a good weekend Dan, was the general hospitality and atmosphere any good?

Many people have different opinions on how a forum should be run, thats life.

What is missing from this forum, is not a lack of knowledgeable conversation, but a bit of understanding of others and others points of view.

Although I'm not exactly the right person to say it (being 18 myself) the newer members who post here, seem to be getting younger and younger, perhaps bringing the odd immature comment with them. This doesn't help and often brings the harsh replies from senior members of the forum.

I hope things improve. All it takes is a bit of effort.

I have used it on the rare occasion a number of friends are online, but not on an IM provider.

I think it should remain in existence.

Impressive new features, is it possible to give the user an individual option about the sub menus?

Seems a strange but sad incident.

I'd have to raise the question about safety if animals can wander all over the track!

I've just had a flick through the thread and I've seen a few people wanting to restrict the post count per day.

Although this could eliminate a vast majority of meaningless posts, it could also see some vital posts and topics missed.

All it takes is for a few people to ruin what on the whole is a good community / forum. If we let these people know they are in the wrong, then they are likely to post less often.

I feel that sometimes we need to be harsh to be fair.

I feel this is one for the "PEST SQUAD"...

If you require help with spelling, punctuation or forum etiquette, please get in touch with PEST squad members who proudly display the "PEST squad" signature. If you do not require help or find it impossible to improve on any of the above, this means you are a twit, which the "PEST squad" can also deal with, in this type of fashion....

Go and crawl back down that hole you came from!

spsamsp,

Could you please try and fit multi quoting into one post, your obsessive posting in order to try and boost your post count is pissing me and others off.

Back on topic, I like the idea of the community adding something to LFS, but for me this is too open for abuse.

If you want Faster to have a licence, you buy it for him

I voted No.

If the community are going to give a licence away, then at least make whoever gets it, earn it.

Just because you think he's funny or because he can't spell is no reason for giving someone a £24 licence.

Janeski,

I think you'd need to appoint an number of independent panelists to judge a demo user on the following points:

- Knowledge of Racing Etiquette / Rules
- Knowledge of LFS
- Contribution / Quality of community involvement.
- Activeness of racer in question.

You could make a combination of questionnaire and a test to determine both a score (on the rules etc) and write here spaces to gather information on other factors (community participation etc).

Quote from kuba.g :Man that sucks I'm not buying it unless you can bypass this somehow....

It's such a good game but why on earth am I not allowed to race against my friends when I pay the 24 pounds??
I'm not going to pay dubble the price to be able to race with 4 computers.

One customer less for LFS because of dumb terms of usage

Why are they dumb?

They stop people buying one licence and allowing other people to use their accounts.
