a trick for lcd's with persistence problems is to leave it on for a few days displaying nothing but solid white... and then try leaving it off for a few days and that might reset the pixels... on the other hand, it might be hosed.

just a tidbit, the track ad that's embedded in the tarmac on fern bay is infact a dds file, but i'm under the assumption that it's the only one. i forget the file name, but i'm sure someone here knows.

are you talking about the track-side ads? most of them are images in the pic folder.

i had a look at the piece of track in question, and it suffers the same problem i tried mentioning in another thread. the default texture looks fine (or "good enough"), but when you replace it with an alternate texture, it goes all wonky. the default kerb texture in that section is a white stone texture with no ribbon of green on the outside.
there is, you can crack it open and solder on a new analog stick... problem is, it's probably cheaper and easier to buy a new controller.
