Quote from PoVo :
if (Connections[GetConnIdx(CPR.UCID)].Stat == 2)

This checks if the person is an Officer.

i see.

well, another thing i was thinking of...

if (Connections[GetConnIdx(Players[GetPlyIdx(MCI.Info[i].PLID)].UniqueID)].Chase == 1)

what sets that to 1? it could also be possible that ".Stat" isn't being reset to 0 at some point.

i think you might need to show us more code.

Quote from stuntguy3000 :So your saying that if you are a cop their is no tag or something?

no, in fact, the opposite... your script checks for the presence of the cop tag, and acts accordingly... problem is, it doesn't check whether the person is actually a cop or not (i'm assuming they're chosen by the server admins)...

long story short, anyone who renames themselves could become a cop.

if that was your intention, my bad.

if (Connections[GetConnIdx(CPR.UCID)].PlayerName.StartsWith("^0[^1COP^0]"))

that looks bad... i'd suggest using user name instead of racer name...

Quote from JJ72 :They only have static minimum ride height/wing height, but they can't possibly measure the cars while they are on track, that's the problem.

And just because the static ride height is higher than the water level doesn't mean cars won't aquaplane....because the race track isn't a perfectly flat surface.

sure, but a 5 inch requirement would be better than a 2 inch one... they wouldn't have to worry about shaving down their undertray planks mid-race either...

Quote from Dygear :I agree with you, and I agree with Martin Brundell, and I agree with Lewis. I wanted to see a motor race in the rain. These cars would not of aquaplaned as the water level never went above ride height.

why don't they just set a minimum ride height? it would stop all the complaints about RB's flexi-wing too.

meh, it's not enough that they're attractive (or have attractive qualities)... i need one that isn't crazy or has some hidden agenda.

Quote from Uncle Rooster :Well I checked the main website and the last update was about a server move on 2010-02-17.... then it goes back to 2009-11-25 for the last update.... so I was wondering if something exciting may happen in 2010 or if it is just.... dead

seems to be a matter of opinion these days. every now and again the devs pipe up saying that they're still working, but to some that's just not good enough... and who can blame them, especially after suggesting a timetable that's obviously come and gone...

i'm still here only because the pc simracing racket kindof waned. i don't want to pay for iracing, and rfactor looks and plays like crap.

i'm sure vettel can do the job himself and take out half the field...

yay rain... good thing i'm at work... sad part is, my pvr is probably recording something silly like poker.

i don't know what's worse... f1 running it's races in our overnight, or their rainy season...

Quote from Bob Smith :It's using fractals to make up the details though, so it's not accurate at more than a large scale. The best DEM data for the planet is still at several meter resolution. Great for making maps of counties and such, but not quite good enough for roads.

this. i've tried using DEM maps for other games... it's okay for getting a general idea of ground topology, but if you wanted to use it for making a RL replicate, have fun smoothing out all the bumps.

Quote from Bean0 :Microsoft Security Essentials ?

are you using it? how does it stack up to other competitors?

i tried their anti-spyware app when it was first released and it sucked worse than spybot does (compared to mbam)...

Quote from bunder9999 :after i uninstalled it, my "system" memory usage went from 75mb to 5-10mb. that doesn't include the 4 or 5 other exe's it runs. some of those were using up to and exceeding 30mb a piece.

plus, my atom doesn't lag on boot anymore, for a while there i had to log out and back in just to get the taskbar to display properly.

bump.

i don't know why i reinstalled avg 9 on my atom (thankfully it doesn't lag like 8.5 did), but it's nagging everyone again.

http://forums.avg.com/image/freeforum/ww/116111/2787

so what should i replace it with? people say avast and avira are good, but i've never used them.

Quote from MadCatX :Actually, no. GRUB2 uses this even more screwed up partition numbering where /dev/sda1 would be hd(0,1) and /dev/sdc5 hd(2,5)...

oh good gravy...

don't you mean (hd0,1)?

(hd0,2) would be /dev/hda3, the extended partition.

sorry, i don't go anywhere near ~ packages, unless i absolutely need to... let alone 9999 packages. if they can't be bothered to make an ebuild which pulls a certain svn revision (like mythtv does), or publish a proper release, it's not worth my time.

nope, the engine sounds are generated on a bunch of number values in addition to the wav files embedded in the .eng files...

if you want a car to sound like a 6 cylinder, the only way to do that is to make the car actually have 6 cylinders by using tweak.

edit: well, that's not entirely true... you can sit there fudging around with sounds until it sounds right, but it's just a lot easier to give the engine the right amount of cylinders to begin with.

where? unless it has a different name, or is in an unofficial portage overlay such as sunrise, i'd have to believe you're mistaken.

Whats the next step to go for without breaking everything?

let's see your grub.conf... i wouldn't be surprised grub is trying to chainload the wrong partition...

Quote from arco :Windows 7 uses a separate 100MB partition for the bootloader, if it's installed on an empty drive. Otherwise it resides under \boot folder in the system partition. In Jacks case it might be that the boot partition is wiped. There's no ntldr, fixboot and fixmbr in Windows 7.

oh lovely... why do they keep changing stuff that worked perfectly fine?

well, i tried.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Doubt it, would likely just install Windows over Windows.

exactly. one of the last steps of the windows install installs the ntldr and configures it properly to boot windows (or whatever seven uses, because i believe it uses a new bootloader). i've done it a few times where doing fixboot/fixmbr didn't work because i changed the drive's position within the system.
