Nope, it's all they can achieve... The penalty can't be appealed anyway, so forcing the FIA to act is everything they wanted... I don't believe the "in the interest for the sport" for one second - it didn't held anyone back in the past...
It doesn't matter, as we know from Spa 2 years ago you can't appeal a drive-through after the race, and that's exactly what will come of it... So now Schumacher is f*cked because the stewards can't read straight... Hill got his revenge after all...
I've always said the HLVC is way too lenient (and most league rules as well, but that's not the topic)... The track is the tarmac between the white lines, and nothing else... If you position all four wheels on the outside of those lines for the purpose of gaining time, you should be punished - the lap should be invalid, an that's the end of it...
I don't think you can partially stall a wing, especially not one so "small"... But I too am interested how the system is actuated - because everything else than driver-actuated surely has to be a moving aerodynamic part, no?
Yeah, the AUG has an effective range of 300 m too (you don't even get any significant bullet drop over 100 m) and is displayed as one of the less accurate rifles in the game... Longest shot was IIRC about 1 km... Anyway, you'd probably shoot as straight as the sniper rifles over the average view distances you have in the game... Of course that wouldn't be much fun for the average FPS gamer...
It does that for me when the system partition is full... Did clearing temp really give you much space? You might need to throw out more than that, especially when one of those vids can clog up your hdd again pretty fast...
You gotta be used to that now, they always make it a copy&paste job from the previous season (only seen one time they really overhauled the schedule)... I understand they want to bring a bit of stability to it (so a new member doesn't need to buy content every season), but a bit more variation should be possible, at least make it another layout of the same track...
Totally agree - I don't think they really grasp the concept of classes... That matchup could be epic though - like the BTCC of yesteryear (which too was only one class)...
iRacing still has issues with their netcode - the extrapolation still causes quite a few wtf-moments, but it's far better than a year ago... I still think extrapolation is the wrong way to go, but the fans are too hung up on not seeing cars lagging to ask for having accurate positioning...
Main race just over... Great stream, watched both races without any hickup throughout the whole broadcast...
Great races, much passing and head-to-head duels in both races... Grosjean creamed everybody, driving 2 seconds faster than seasoned GT drivers in his first race in a GT car is quite a feat... Puts F1's level of driving in perspective once again...
I really don't know, he was answering a question about new dongles and that it isn't that easy with the GT3RS (being cable-bound and all)... He mentioned existing customers would be able to upgrade but will have to pay Fanatec's cost of the new PCBs...
Personally, I'd wait with the wheel... Thomas mentioned in the support thread over at the iForums that they're testing out new PCBs that might solve some issues the wheel has (like not being fully centered/losing center while playing)...
Doesn't make the suggestion any less valid and he even (obviously) searched before opening a new thread about the same idea and put some thought into his post instead of just "+1"-ing the thread...
So basically you're saying tyre manufacturers should unlearn everything about durability of tyres from about the last 20 years? I very much doubt that'll happen...
As far as I know GTC isn't GT3 spec, but (even) slower... So every team would have to buy a GT3 car and still modify it to enter ALMS, but most small teams probably won't do that (cost)...
Well, that's what you get when you have the bright idea to limit front mechanical traction by making the tyres narrower... Every idiot can tell you taking away mechanical traction when your downforce is shot anyway will not improve overtaking, but leave it to the buffoons at the OWG to get it wrong yet again...
You gotta ask if there is even one decent engineer on that team or whether that group consists only of empty heads acting important...
Tristan is right, you just see it from another angle: content... But the physics haven't been fully rewritten at least since LfS S2 started, maybe longer - only new features were added, so in terms of workload it definitely is the biggest patch ever (pareto principle applies fully here)...
I'd also argue that on importance it may also be the biggest one yet: now that for the first time (more or less) worthy challengers have established themselves this update will determine if people will still follow LfS' development in the future or if they make the switch to another sim of choice complete...
