I stopped with Youtube when they decided I wasn't capable of deciding whether I wanted to choose HQ/HD or not. Not only does the &fmt stuff not work, no matter what I do I can't get the option to appear in the video window. I'm told it's because my connection is only 1mb, however surely if I wanted to wait for a video to load in HQ, that's my choice? Although generally I could stream HQ without a problem.

Wow, things seems to be really bad there. But browsing Youtube from here (Brazil) we still have the HD and HQ buttons and also fmt 16, 18 and 22 work correctly. Also we don't have any music videos censured, only if we post a video with copywrighted song, but they usually don't find many of these videos. Actually I've only seen 2 "censured" videos so far: both of them were posted on this forum, and gave me a "region restriction" message.

I'm waiting for Youtube to implement HD video in the chromeless player, then I'll be really happy.

Couldn't really find the right youtube topic I was searching for, but what's up with the volume slide on the left side next to the play button?

Actually, I just love the new youtube player. It looks so much better and cooler than the old, boring one. It actually looks like we are in 2010 now. Much better, slimmer and cleaner.

Meh, I like the classic look altogether, with the organization. Now it just looks like they threw everything on the page, without any flow, and call it new.

I'm really enjoying how everything seems to be going this middle grey colour. All of my favourite applications have gone grey, it's given me hope that my eyesight won't be completely shot in five years time.

I've been having buffering issues with YT now for a couple of weeks. Even 360p stuff that I know I've watched before. Generally slow, sometimes it just jumps straight to 100% buffered and refuses to play past a certain point. As far as I can tell, I have the newest Flashes and Shockwaves installed and don't have this problem on other streaming sites. Anyone experiencing similar things, and is there something I can do to improve the performance? Clearing temp files, biscuits & the rest did diddlysquat

It does that for me when the system partition is full... Did clearing temp really give you much space? You might need to throw out more than that, especially when one of those vids can clog up your hdd again pretty fast...

I have around 60 GB empty on each partition, so I shouldn't be running out of physical space. Swap maybe, but it's not like I'd have huge PS files open in the background. I'll try adjusting page file and see if it makes a difference. Maybe it's the router keeling over. Sometimes decides to slow down for no apparent reason
