On part of your track(s), you have a sign pop-up (use RegisterZoneAction) somewhere on track warning about paintball venue ahead, and watch for stray paint balls.
Bit like you might have passing a golf course.
Further on up the road using another RegisterZoneAction, and openPrivButtons, have "paint balls" splash onto drivers screen.
Best bit is the use of bright colours (red, yellow, green, etc) for paintballing!
Bit further on, have Car Wash, which can 'clean' (closePrivButtons) these marks off your screen, but of course, you have to pay for privilige!
(Change livery of one of the "marshalls" (or 'cop' or 'warden' or 'patrol' persons) to take the order/money).
Reason for doing it with a zone rather than a node (although not a big deal if you use a node), is that you can have a stretch of road with traffic coming either way, and maybe only traffic on one side of the road is affected.
Or, (much, much harder) if you have a wide road, and if you go take particular route you enter the zone, and you're hit. But if you miss this zone, then you're fine.
Maybe have zone half way off track, so that anyone close to the verge gets warning, but if you drive closer to middle of road, then you're fine.
Of course, you would have to figure someway of linking warning with being hit, as if no warning, should be no hit.
EDIT: Above idea added to my Sin'rs server, so you can see it (magnified somewhat) in action. But I just used Nodes as only one way traffic.
Yes it is. I'm not a big fan of it though, as I thought Mercedes GP's test Livery was cool enough. But I guess they were shooting for the Silver arrow story (scraping paint off to show carbon) style.
I like the Renault's shape, the most beautiful car I've seen yet (no mark attitude from me, I really mean this). Love the shape of the sidepods and the nose, along with the livery. I like the Sauber's rims, gives me a 1996 dejà-vu. I also hope they won't start the season as BMW Sauber-Ferrari. Btw, did anyone see the FW32 spy footage? That Cosworth V8 makes the best sound I've ever heard in years since the Ford DFV V8 back in the early 90's.
Looking at a rather sponsorless Sauber livery... Hope they show more of it soon. Started working on the lines and colours. Those are unlikely to change anyway.
But it looks like it could use a little bit more white/silver to get closer to the real deal, and this fluid look on the car just like the color smear.
But still the livery isn´t really nice, I hoped for a better livery for the Mercedes car. (this was aimed at the real livery not the skin, I just think Mercedes should have done it better).
The new livery was previewed at the Mercedes Museum and I for one have mixed feelings about this livery.. since this is supposedly a Silver Arrow, shouldn't it have been a little more... silver??? Looks white to me. However, Germany's racing color back in the day used to be white but kinda changed to silver so I guess that's ok... maybe it's just the lighting. Excited nonetheless.
The good thing is, that JazzOn did spend a huge amount of time once (well, twice ), saving the general skinner a lot of time as often as he does a skin now (if he wants).
Also as you can see the top map and the side maps of the skin are streched unequally in proportion. It took me some time to understand how that is possible though. :jester:
However he has proven his work was done properly (at least the second time ) by skinning a livery of no other than loads of lots of diagonal squares onto a formula car.
Hi
Im going to have another go at replicating as my first one here(further down the page) had lots of problems as jazz pointed out.
So this is the livery im gonna try but some of the logos i cant make out. Ive attatched a two pics and those logos i cant make out are in yellow boxes.
