Friends since the very beginning of our team.. I remember some friendly team battles back in the very early S2 days!
Great to see you guys are still going strong, and my oh my what a fantastic new livery!! Who did the design?
Hello World (or at least LFS Forum)! We don't usually make a lot of fuzz about ourselves, but in our opinion 5th anniversary is worth a celebration. Some of you have propably never heard of us, so here's a very brief introduction.
NordicOne Racing was founded in July 2004 to promote clean and fair racing. Even though most of our current drivers are Finns (all the active ones), we've always been an international team. During these 5 years we've taken part in many leagues and events such as Endurance Cup, ESL, OWRL, OLFSL, LFS GT and most recently LFS Pro Series, IGTC and MoE. Back when our team founder Kalle was still active we arranged two season of UXRL (UFR & XFR Racing League). We've seen LFS evolve, members come and go and had some great battles on track.
Anyway, we though that an appropriate way to celebrate our 5 years in LFS would be to update our racing livery. From now on you can recognize us from our brand new skins.
We have always been a rather small and tightly knit team but we're always on the look for fresh blood to keep the team active and running. If you feel like you've got what it takes to compete on a high level in leagues such as MoE, IGTC, OWRL etc. feel free to contact us (preferably via #n1Racing @ gamesurge).
We would also like thank all of our former and current members for making n1Racing what it's been and what it is today. That's about all we had to say for now. See you on track!
That's probably more down to shader that is bit too soft to really represent glossy black paint and different livery which makes shapes look slightly different.
Some of the cars my father has owned over the years.. obviously not mine but I did help build and maintain some of them (texaco, Brooklyn, White 3 door, moonstone blue 3 door and megabusa). Happy days..
Only half distance left in this amazing races and our driver Dan Buck in livery painted in Brasil colours is in 4th position! We wish you a good luck mate and keep pushing!!!
Hi all! Would someone be kind enough to make a Vitaphone Racing livery for XRR. Attached some fairly high-res screenshots of this years (atleast I think so) Vitaphone Racing Maserati MC12 GT1. Skin should better be in 2048x2048 for quality reasons. If someone would make it, please take as much time as you need to get it done properly. If you want to do it either post here or send a PM to me. Thanks in advance to whoever will skin me my favourite LFS car.
To be serious, I did have another car in mind, when you told me greyish Red Bull livery... so I have done this one here... who can find out, of what car I thought when making this skin?
anyways I hope you like it, though it is more of a freedom of the artists
I'm involved with the UK Scalextric collectors' assocation, we produce an annual slot car (1/32 scale) with a club livery but as has been mentioned already, the issue is quantities, particularly in the current economic climate. Sometimes we can get away with a minimum order of 500 from some manufacturers but more often than not it's 1000. So you would really need a lot of interest to make 1000 worthwhile, and even then they sell at 30-40 UK pounds. It would certainly be cheapest to put an LFS livery on a previously-modelled car, rather than try and model one anew, using the closest available match. Something I'm looking into at the moment is the possibility of an LFS team livery on something like a Porsche 997 (an existing model), which you could either use as a slot car or take the guide blade out and have it on your desk as a static model. I *think* the only LFS car that already exists as a slot car model is the BMW F1, although there are close matches in LFS with other slot car models like Caterhams, Supras, Astras etc. Otherwise if you want to ask a manufacturer to make a decent model of a car "just for you" that doesn't relate to anything in real life that they could re-use the moulds for in the future, I imagine the costs would be exhorbitant.
Special offer, any Kyoto 500 competitor who requests a livery of one of the Indianapolis 500 cars, will get it within two days, completely new made and totally fullfilling all the skin rules!
