I'm guessing the McLaren isnt a finished livery? it seems to be missing a lot of sponsers.

That's definitely not a P1, or at least not a legal one. It is LaFerrari with a rear wing and mockups in a camo livery. And with a turbo engine.

I'm not even sure this has anything to do with racing or the F1 V6 engine either, could be just FXX-like track only special of the LaFerrari.

Great pictures and easily one of the best looking fields livery wise for the Continental Tire series. I remember when realtime racing's 2 tone orange and white was as flashy as you'd get for touring cars in the states.

i did some skinning of the F40, My first propper skin, took me 5 hours! time passes so fast.

Here is the skin in the preview (preview is matched identically to the standard ones) also it has a correct livery icon, i had to make some of the logos from scratch as well, probably what took the time.

Welcome to Drift Matsuri Super Lap Drift Battle competition.

The Winter series will run approx 6 events using 1:1 Scale layouts i have created of Famous Drift Circuits in Japan (Bihoku, Ebisu, Meihan etc) and some others (Driftland UK, Sekia Hills).

Footage will then be recording, edited to mimic a D1GP kinda feel and then uploaded for your viewing pleasure in a 20 minute or so coverage of each event.

Looking for 32 competitors to join the series.

Qualifier (32 Drivers - Single run)
Each driver will have a single attempt to run the stated course.
Style, Speed and execution is what you will be judged on in this round.

Round 1 (Top 16 Qualified Drivers paired 1v1 - Twin)
the remaining 16 drivers will be paired up with a competitor at random.
Drivers will take turns to Lead and Follow. Leading drivers aim to get as much distance away from the following driver. The following drivers aim is to get as close to the Leading as possible.

Round 2(8 Drivers Paired 1v1 - Twin)
(same as round 1)

Semi Finals (4 Drivers Paired 1v1 - Twin)
(same as round 1)

Finals (Final 2 Drivers)
(same as round 1)

A Game of Train (Last Man Standing - Exhibition Round)
Remaining drivers (Up to a total of 16) Will be lined single file. With the task to drift the entire course in a long drift train. the winner will be last driver who hast spun! (Time Permitting)

Entrant Criteria

DriftMatsuri Super Lap Drift Battle will be recorded and edited in an event coverage, Televised style video for the community to watch and enjoy.

In order for us to supply the best quality all round, we ask that you meet the following criteria.

1. Skills
You must be able to Drift! That is the most important thing! You will be driving in a door to door close proximity with your opponent. Low quality driving will not be acceptable. you must respect over drivers and act in a professional manor.

2.Information
We will require a high resolution, high quality picture of your head/face from the shoulders up, Country of Nationality (will be used in video) and occasionally, if required, provide audio in the form of an interview

3. Be Available!
Events will be held every 2 weeks (TBC), Saturday 8pm GMT (The event should last no longer than 1 hour if everyone follows instruction with no messing about)

4. Livery
You must be able to supply a 2048x2048, High quality image if your vehicle skin/ livery. You MUST then stick to this skin for the rest of the competition. (You will be supplied with decals that must be visable on your skin)


5. LAG
You MUST be 100% Lag Free! Lag will ruin your competing run and render the footage unusable. Anyone with a High Ping will not be allowed to compete (The server is run on a Lag Free Host)

Now that the 2013 season has been over for a while now, I'm actually surprised to see that a MAJORITY of the skins from this season has yet to be posted for FBM. This includes the biggest teams, such as Ferrari, Red Bull etc. These are also teams that have undergone major livery changes. So in the end, I am surprised that they have not been popping up on the FBM Skins thread, since I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one craving for them.

I just hope this is not because real F1 fans have all left the world of LFS.

So pd now has the rights to use senna name in the game. Hopefully pd doesn't do as shitty job with it as they did with nascar/topgear/loeb/vettel in gt5.

But knowing pd they probably put together a pack which consists of senna's driver suit as a prize for some boring seasonal type of event where you do few "races" where you pass 15 cars in one lap in some sennasque vacuum cleaner sounding econobox. Finishing top on all the events grants you a mega prize of senna's kart with his yellow helmet livery omg... They probably call it the Ayrton Senna challenge...

It is just amazing how absolutely poor job pd did with all those licenses in gt5. It is just a tragedy there was no even where you had to beat stig's times for example. Just unforgivable! While I'm not exactly expecting to see senna's formula cars in gt6 (Imho formula cars in gt5 drive like crap) but I'd like to see it done better than the type of lazy afterthought idea.

Of course not! Why would I buy a racing game to take photos of cars which aren't real? Photomode in GT5 is the biggest cock-up idea they ever had, and the way the kids go mad for total bullshot (trademarked: Boris) pictures is mental. I haven't got S1 license yet to drive MRT, but I decided to make a skin watching on CMX Viewer. This skin is dedicated for those who wears or likes Benetton clothes. Some details was made from Alfa Romeo 185T Formula 1 car which was been sponsored by Benetton and later I mixed Benetton's livery with red McGill colors. Since then I'm working on a new texture project which I hope I will be updating as soon as possible

Penske in indycar were using the same livery right up till 2008, I dont think there would be too much issue.

The Ferrari Rear wing was looking like the brands logo which I think was the issue.

Didn't Ferrari have to change their logo as it was too similar to the Marlboro one ?
I can't see McLaren being allowed to re-use the old Marlboro livery if this was the case.
