Im thinking the Livery might be more tradditional Honda Red/Black.
Everyone i talk to are thinking Red/White... I think it would be a crap idea, kinda like what Lotus did. ...... But Lotus did a half decent job.
The red Marlboro stripes worked with those cars back in the day, I dont think it would work now.
And in saying that, those stripes were Marlboro, not Honda.
I could see a red/white livery, if not that, Orange...
Im sure silver is gone 100%, thats Mercedes.

Now it is my time to hijack this thread.
I did my (very first on real car) livery for one rallyteam in Estonia in the beginning of the year. Sadly they refused and took some ugly design perhaps. But now they contacted me again because they got new car and guess what, they want to use my livery.

2013 WTCC - Castrol Honda World Touring Car Team replica
Skin based on Honda's works team at WTCC. Made according to pre-season pictures. I'm not 100% sure about roof, so I might update that bit when season goes along.

nah, its even more distracting than the old stealth bomber livery, its like a driving mirror now. Something like this may be nice:
nice collection there! I guess you're not too interested in earlier le mans winner cars (gt40, 917, the whole 60s and 70s cars), my favourites are group c cars and sports prototypes as well though!
The Jäger 962 is sold by Revell nowadays as a 956!!! With Stefan Bellof as driver (who never drove a 962 and was killed in a 956). Usually all Jägermeister cars were orange, but I love intelligent vandalism. So instead of painting it in one of the brightest colours a racecar can show I went for the opposite. But if you are so used to this livery and its specific colours it's quite a mindf**k looking at this grey one ;-)
Anyway, I do have very few original cars, such as this one. Proper 956 raced by the Obermaier team. 1/24th scale, polyurethane rears, stainless steel chassis and one of the fastest semiscale cars on the plastic track I occasionally visit.

And right, another update.....this time it is very different!
On the livery side, I did this:
The scenario is typical mash up in the real racing world:
Two major sponsors want to be represented equally, liqiu moly part already set in stone and cannot be changed. Series sponsors taken up prime locations and design has to be tailored around them a bit, also need to leave a lot of white/black areas for last minute sponsor additions...
I think it was a decent job merging two theme colors together and still look like one car, definitely an improvement compare to last years! And after a project like this it is not hard to understand why most racing is just a base color with some logos on them - so much is out of control.
And these:
If you compare to the one in dubai...it's 90% new! the iconics front and rear is retained but the rest...do you own photohunt.
Besides liveries I have finally moved close to the real money makers......
1. I am doing a full merchandise range design for Moscow Raceway, it's 20+ items and the company behind the race track is loaded....
With this job I will get closer to doing something for Sochi GP....if that lands too. I can afford to do only 2 projects a year.
2. Another project that is VERY VERY COOL - You know the company Singer design that does retro porsches right? I will be doing a coffee table sized book for them, it's such a cool brand to associate with and the blokes there are really nice, I sense this will be a start for another fruitful partnership.

Some good news on my front; I'm working on my first official livery. It's not for a race car, though; but a race plane. Hells yea.
I wouldn't care tbh, even if there would be a massive gentleman's sausage on it. If it benefits for me, then it's good.
And the Monster livery's look pretty cool to me

I like the new Ferrari as well, looks much better with more white on the livery.

Bruce Jones on RLM was just complementing the livery designer of a certain Aston... 
It actually looks rather nice on the Z4 GT3... Though I'm more interested what the V8 Vantage/DBR9 livery will look like on the same car
