At the end of the december,Race Green Events will start the 14th season of it's longest running yearly league - the one where only all wheel driven cars are used and the one where very different track types are used. Last 2 seasons produced repeating champions - in both 2023 and 2024 overall champions scored their 2nd AWS drivers championships,so the league is still in search of it's 12th different series champion. Or 3rd 2-time champion - or maybe even 1st 3-time champion.

The Race Green Events winter league returns for it's 12th season with a big change - a total of 8 cars are now in the league's lineup. That includes both original LFS's AWD cars,the electric XFR introduced last year with a slight update for this year,a brand new league spec buggy derived from an already existing mod and 4 cars found on the files list for public use. The schedule is extended to 8 rounds returning the season length to original length of opening 2 seasons of the league.

The eleventh season of the yearly winter league starts in the dawn of new LFS era - the one with custom cars available besides original LFS cars. Since the modding scene still is just starting to launch their creations,this AWS season will feature just one custom car,which is a "house own modified" XF GTR - to offer something different besides the usual 2 cars,we electrified the XFR and gave it an all-wheel-drive drivetrain to fit in the league.

The decade season will offer a 6 rounds season,using each car in 3 rounds. As always a wide variation of tracks is used including short rallycross track,street course in an urban environment,support roads track and high speed ovals,meaning driver have to master very different conditions to become a true AWD cars based series champion! 9 seasons have brought 9 different champions to the league,which shows that it's difficult to stay on top of this challenging championship. To spice things up a notch,small money prizes have been reintroduced to AWS as an award for the effort.

All-wheel-drive Winter Series 2014

The 2014 season has been shortened to just 5 rounds instead of previous 8 rounds,but it will still bring back the best rounds to have very variated calender,using both AWD cars of LFS - FXO GTR and RB4 GT and 5 different venues.

The winter is comming,in Northern part of Europe it means snow and slippery road conditions.

The Winter 200 was the final round of All-wheel-drive Winter Series 2012 and it was held in the fastest track of LFS - the Kyoto Oval. In qualifying it was the organizer Rony,who took his 2nd succesive pole position,this time 4 hundreths of a second ahead of the closest rival with a laptime of 39.32 seconds.

The final round of All-wheel-drive Winter Series using the slower car RB4 GT was held at custom racetrack Aston Club Cross. The difficult track didn't gather too many drivers - only 12 drivers took part in qualifying,but just 9 of them actually started. The fastest in qualifying once again was Reno from spdoRacing,who clocked 3:04.06 around this 5.1km long part tarmac,part grass surface track with huge width variety. This bonus point for fastest lap in qualifying practically sealed the AWS RB4 Master title,as noone else could overtake him in standings,since Fade was absent from this race.

Aston Grand Prix was the 5th round of 8 of All-wheel-drive Winter Series,but it was the last road course. The 8.8 kilometers long Aston GP track is the longest configuration in LFS,and the pole position was taken by Reno with a laptime of 2:38.87,which is just 0.49 seconds off from the best official laptime. Championship leader Fade took the other front row starting position,losing just 15 hundreths of a second to his teammate.

Round 4 of All-wheel-drive Winter Series was the second rallycross round - we visited Fern Bay rallycross 2 kilometers long configuration to race with RB4 GT. 15 drivers came for qualifying,7 of them - made a debuth in AWS,unfortunately one of them left the server before the race. Reno took his 3rd pole position with a laptime of 1:10.90,which is just 0.31 seconds behind current world best effort,series debutant Master #21 set 2nd best laptime also within 1 second of WR to take other front row position.

For round 3 of All-wheel-drive Winter Series we went to tight and twisty streets of South City,where race was held at it's longest configuration - 4 kilometers long City Long. It was the second round using the faster car - FXO GTR. Unfortunately only 8 drivers took this NewYear City Challenge and attended for this race,series leader Reno arrived at server,but never joined. Best of them - the serbian spdoRacing representative Fade,who took pole position with a laptime of 1:29.62,also Kars managed to beat one and a half minute mark with his latest attempt to secure front row start.

Round 2 of All-wheel-drive Winter Series was held in fast and winding track of Kyoto Ring GP Long Reversed using the second car of series - RB4 GT. This round was slightly more attended with 16 drivers taking part in qualification,allthough only 15 of them started the race as 3rd place finisher of round 1 - Fuller - left the server before start. Second pole position in row was taken by Reno with an impressive laptime of 2:50.55 which is just 0.67 off the official world record in this 7.4 kilometers long track.

The inaugural round of the All-wheel-drive Winter Series was held in slippery and bumpy Blackwood Rallycross track with the powerful FXO GTR. 14 drivers came for this challenge and 8 of them managed to beat 1 minute mark in qualifying, which was won by estonian Reno, who lapped this 1.8 km track in 58.05 seconds.

The 3-wide starting grid at this track already meant that contact in turn one will be unavoidable - a lot of cars were shoved wide, followed by recovery tries, which led to even more contacts in next few turns.
