Quote from Riders Motion :Try to use 1024x768; it's the recommended size for most 17" monitors and you'll get more fps than using the resolution you use atm

My 17 inch TFT monitor optimal setting is 1280*1024
But the Samsung Syncmaster 750S is a 17" CRT monitor. Because of that 1024x768 is the optimal setting.

Just in time for Winter to help with heating your house!

Seriously though, that's sweet. Is B3 the newest stepping though? I thought people wanted the B0 (G0?).
B3 = Older stepping, G0 (no such thing as a B0) is the newer, 1337'er, cooler better overclocking stepping, but i got this CPU for £119, while a G0 Q6600 is £185 - 35% cheaper for a 12% drop in clock speed and a little more heat is a geat deal
@Jakg

Its not Idek Liyama Its Idek iiyama

Anyway nice PC.
np i even saved your spec's.

I want to but a brother next to my 512mb but there are 2 types of RAM's (i know there are more but in this situation)

There is DDR
and there is DDR2

can somebody tell me the difference?
And witch one is faster? my cousin told me that DDR(1) is faster.

BTW : my motherboard can only have DDR(1)
DDR2 has higher bandwidth and higher speeds (ie the fastest DDR = DDR400, 200 MHz, the fastest DDR2 is 575 MHz), but slower timings (ie on average on decent DDR - Cas 2-2.5, and on good DDR2 - Cas 4) - however overall is a bit faster.

It uses less voltage, and is NOT compatible with DDR and vice versa do NOT try plugging DDR2 memory in a DDR slot and vice versa.

OOPS too late!

DUH! i already know. So DDR2 is faster. damnnit. Too bad DDR2 is alot cheaper.
DDR2 is cheaper because DDR isn't made on a massivve scale anymore - adn they also know that chances are if your still buying DDR, you can't really affod and upgrade to a new mobo etc, so they want to screw more cash outta you
I think it is mostly just supply and demand, and they ALWAYS want to screw you out of as much $$ as possible.
fast reply.

The problem is i just buyed this motherboard about 5 month's ago (so its still new) And begging my dad for a new mobo will be a pain in the neck since i use S939 (and buyed the CPU new too)

i think that im going to buy a 1gb tomorrow.

aaaand i was wrong when i said that i have 512mb because i borrowed a 256mb from my uncle.

I have 4 slots in my mb so that will be a nice collection here

Oh BTW i have BF2 and it goes very slow on my pc

Spec's

AMD 64 3500+
768MB ram DDR(1)
Asrock Dual Sata 2
6600GT (AGP version)

And if you say that my gfx card suck because it is AGP, there is another option in this motherboad (cool thing) there is a PCIe 16X in it too

but i think that my gfx is enough. I think that the pain is my RAM.

EDIT : just read my own post. damn my english suck.
Firstly - i REALLY wouldn't use all 4 slots on an AMD 939 motherboard - it "overloads" the memory controller and thus it downclocks the memory and forces it to run in 2t mode - your really much better running 2 GB via 2x 1 GB sticks.

PS - What GFX options are you running at? Apart from the jittering at the start of the match BF2 didn't run too bad with 1 GB of RAM on my old S939 PC (3 GHz AMD CPU, 7950GT) with Max options/4x AA

well it runs on most of the settings on medium/2x AA .The loading's are really pissing me off, it almost take's about 5 min to join a server.

if a 1,5 gb isnt running normal then i could throw this shit away?
or try a new gfx card..

and there is no way changing my CPU and motherboard.. (i still need money)

EDIT : and LFS is running fine

Singleplayer 80-130 FPS
multiplayer about 30 players 40 - 100 FPS

And since LFS uses CPU there is no problem with it (2,2 ghz)

EDIT : oh and my motherboard can do Dual channel (4 slots)
Medium/2xAA shouldn't over 1 GB of memory, tbh.

1.5 GB of RAM will work, but tbh it's not an exactly ideal situation, but buying a shiny set of memory would cost you £70 (~€105)
