You should be happy with your new system, as its a step up!

If you are interested in OverClocking, even just a little, getting an Intel based system with a C2D E4300 would put you better off. The price would be about the same, but you'd have the ability to go 3.0GHz with a much more advanced architecture.
why does everyone buys ATI cards, they are crap imo, nvidia gives u the power to go on

The ATI x1950 cards are the best bang for your money still.

I definatly forward that motion.

I've tried my first ever Ati card in this system, I must say..being very fast for the money - its full of problems.

I frequently get blue screen error's that are caused by the graphics card (have spoken to many others with same problems) and general skipping/artifacting isn't rare either.

Get an Nvidia - 7600GT's are pretty cheap, one of those or something along the lines of a 7950.
Just imo - forget the 7950 - it's an overclocked (and slightly over-volted) 7900 - if i had the cash and my nVidia fanboyism i'd get a 7900GTO instead if i could find one

Still reppin' the same old shit...

- Intel Celeron 2.2ghz @ 2.6ghz (stock vcore)
- Asus P4S533-MX (533mhz fsb, AGP 4x, PCI)
- Onboard SiS Graphics (REAL shit, clocked 150/150, stealing 16MB RAM)
- 240MB DDR 266mhz RAM
- 40GB ATA-100 Harddrive (never let me down, it's getting ripped out of this and put into my new PC)
- LG DVD-RW (Brand new IDE drive, will stay with me when I get a new PC)

I can get 15-20fps in LFS when alone on single player (800x600x32, everything down, low res textures) On multiplayer I get anywhere between 2-20, depends if theres more then 1 car in view.

AGREED
Everyone buys ATi because they do better AA/AF and they're cards aren't half bad.

Quote from Jakg :Everyone buys ATi because they do better AA/AF and they're cards aren't half bad.

I dunno. All I know is that a top end nVidia card will pwn a top-end ATi card AND still cost less.
The Ultra costs less than the HD2900XT?

ATi's new cards sucked, but now they've got decent drivers the 2900XT keeps up with (and usually surpasses) a GTS (which is was meant to do - it was NOT meant to beat a GTX), and the 2900 Pro looks like it will ever so slightly beat a GTS while costing about £145.
