Likely a replay issue, like the clutch bar which doesn't seem to be working either despite using it on every shift. Both work when driving "live".
Quote from atledreier :No, there's a bump in the torque curve. The engine model in the game is pretty much non-existent at the moment.

Quote from tiagox :why isnt the turbo gauge working on you :O ?

Is there turbo modeling or not?
Quote from Keling :Is there turbo modeling or not?

Yes there is, the orange ring on the gear display app is a boost gauge and the F40 has one on the dash as well.

That doesn't mean there is turbo modelling, it just means there is a dial that vaguely resembles turbo pressure.
The bar isn't working!!1
Bah, that RSR live timing is lame, i was wondering why i'm 6 seconds off the best lap, then i see that they always put the best posssible tyre compound, i was on Road 90's and everyone else on Semislicks.

Hope this will be properly implemented, i don't want to drive on the best compound tire..
A filter system should do the job.

5 hours is, obviously, not enough.
Anyone having issues with replays? The car just floats in the air..
you drive the car
Quote from R3DMAN :nope

I got it working but the start of the replay is my best lap, from the middle..
for the graphics i found some options to be nice with high fps.
nvidia

Hdr off, vertical sync off, lock cam to horizon off, anisopic filter 4x,AA 2x, cube resolution low,6 faces per frame and than in nvidia inspector add the game, than aa transperancy supersampling 4x sparse grid, vertical sync tear control adaptive
Quote from atledreier :How do you figure that?

One of the Devs responded to a post I made about the deficiencies of the model on the McLaren (it does things that seem impossible?).

The model is there, and they are planning on improving it.

The F40 is MUCH more like I was hoping for, I don't really see big problems with it and it responds like everything I've ever read or watched about the car. (and the boost gauge actually does what I'd expect in this car for the most part)

Tristan what happened to your screen?

Shotglass - regarding the oversteer, I thought the same thing for a few laps but I don't feel the same way anymore and I realized that letting the wheel spin on it's own was a really REALLY bad idea. You have to actively counter-steer and then it's very very natural in my opinion. Zero issue catching slides any more (I only drive at 900 degrees). In fact there's been times where I've thought maybe it was more forgiving than I'd expect, but I just smooth the lock out and drive away smiling. The sim is also VERY VERY sensitive to throttle steer - another dotted "I" if you ask me.

Personally I really enjoy the feeling of weight transfer in this sim, it's the only one besides LFS that feels like the car is actually a heavy piece of machinery that I'm wrestling around a track. And I love feeling the front end load up under braking.
What force feedback settings are people running?

I was running the defaults (1 gain, 100/80/20 kerb/road/slip effects), but I read elsewhere that 0.7 gain, 0/0/0 effects gave less clipping and got rid of canned effects. Only tried a few laps on the new settings and not too sure which I prefer yet.

On a side note AC has spurred me to upgrade my PC, any suggestions would be appreciated in this thread
