Hi, I have decided to make this single event in order to have nice race evening
We have done one race with FZ5+RAC on AS6 one month ago an everyone liked it.
Rules are simple - race is for 2 hours with 30 min qualification, clean racing and allowed reconnection in case of network problems (timeout,...).
In Q you can use shift+P just in the pits, if you have crash somewhere on the track and cannot get back to pits, you can't continue by using shift+P or shift+S, just use shift+S and enjoy watching
The day of the race is 25.7.2010, start of Q is in 19:15 CEST ( http://www.world-time-zones.or ... -european-summer-time.htm ) and race start is in 20:00 CEST.

PS: Most of us are not super fast drivers, we are doing it just for fun, our highest priority is to have nice race without crashes

DevilDare: I don't know...they could have full 3D model of a car and just had to tune physics. If it wasn't problem with RAC, MRT, FBM and BF1, why is it problem now? Physics development is not going very well (1.5 year for tyres is too much). I think, that this was an easy option how to get free real cars in LFS and they refused it and that is what I don't understand.
They could release VWS and finish physics then and whole community would be satisfied. Now they just make more people disapponted (including me).

I bought LFS S2 in February 2009...in december 2008 I wanted to wait till Scirocco release, but I decided to buy S2 sooner so I can learn the new tracks. Result: today I know every track in LFS very well and start to get bored with racing for fun, now I get to LFS only if there is some league on interesting event.
Now I think, that LFS needs track mods (we have enough various cars), because 16 months without new content is too much. Track mods will ensure enough new content for free and developers could continue in physics improvement.
Recently I bought GTR Evo and now I play it more than LFS, because there ist just much more content (Rockingham ).
So to finish this post: LFS is in coma and every other comparable sim is going further.

Nadeo: Everytime someone suggest snow on racetrack...have you ever seen normal race on snowy racetrack? I like the idea of different track temperature, this could depend on weather conditions we have now - Clear or Cloudy weather. This should be really simple to implement and it would make racing a little more interesting because weather won't mean just graphic difference anymore

Important thing is, that ABS is not in every car, just in TBO, FZ5 and XRG. So skilled people can still enjoy races in formula cars and GTRs

No, you will not pay for Scirocco and new tyre physics. Only Rockingham and other content will be released as S3 and you will have to pay for it. Scawen said, that Sx versions are going to be connected just with new content and not with the LFS's engine.

Try servers for FOX racing, for me they are good place to forget about Scirocco. Racing there is fun and they change tracks very often. In "prime time" you can race with ~30 opponents

dontpannic: this is what I am talking about...I still like LFS and I will, but now I am not waiting for next patch. It comes when it comes and then I will be kindly surprised. In january I visited lfs.net every day just to check, if there is new patch, now I just use to get on the forum. Hype is over, I am just regular player with no expectations now

Ok, now I am starting to not believe that they release new patch with VWS until june-july. This is very similar to situation with Condor Soaring simulator, where was the next patch planned for December 2007 (yes, 7) and we still don't have it now. It started with same silence ov developers on official forum.
I am not angry or disappointed, I just stopped to believe (in january I was pretty sure they release VWS in few days).

I agree with idea that crasher will be stopped with better damage model, not with airbags. Airbags should be added after finishing race part of the game (complex damage model, rain, brake heating and another little things).

I think it is good to have this car in LFS. It gives us opportunity to try how could our RL cars behave on the circuit, it has reasonable power(will we have just 147 kw version or there will be option to change engine?) and more weight than XFG. Yes, not everybody has fwd car with ~100 kw, but I think, that most of the people have. It will also have realistic setup without chance to edit it and it is big plus for me.
